We have been married for 10 years and have been looking forward to growing our family. We are so excited to add to our family through adoption and look forward to giving a child the love, experiences, support, guidance, and the adventure that we and the world has to offer them.
We love being active and are up to trying many different activities. Living in Southern California gives us a lot of access to many types of environments that we take advantage of such as a day at the beach, hiking in the mountains, visiting museums and local theme parks, camping, and riding bikes on the boardwalk.
Cameron loves to cheer on our favorite football team, the Chicago Bears on Sundays and we are looking forward to having our family "bear down" together on Sundays! He also enjoys playing board games such as monopoly and is very much looking forward to adding family game night to our regular schedule.
Every two years Natasha's entire family meets back east at her grandparents' home for a week long family reunion. This reunion is filled with so much love, food, and family. The younger cousins love running around farm catching lightning bugs, playing tag, and making S’mores. We also have a family "Chopped" in the same style as the T.V. show on Food Network which is always a good time! Natasha hasn't won yet but has come in second place to her Grandmother so that is a win in her book! This is one of the big adventures we are looking forward to doing with a child. It is such a fun week and something we look forward to every couple of years and know that they will too!
We are so excited to expose this child to the world that is available to them. We want them to have the self confidence to go out into the world and be secure in who they are. When we talk about what our life looks like with a child in it, it is filled with love, fun, opportunity, and support. We want to cultivate their interests, whatever they end up being. We want them to see the world and experience other cultures, to satisfy their curiosities, and ensure that we give them the tools that they need.
Cameron: I look forward to doing a lot of the things that stick out in my mind so much for me with my own dad. I look forward to being there for the big and small milestones in their lives like their first organized sport game, their first school dance, helping with school projects, and reading bed time stories.
Natasha: I have worked as an administrative professional for the last five years but now own a small creative shop with a presence at local pop-up markets and online. My schedule is very flexible being that I work from home and I am really looking forward to being a stay-at-home parent when we add to our family. I love to cook and look forward to teaching them our favorite family recipes. I am excited to watch them develop friendships with their cousins, enjoy playgroups, do art projects, and go to the library. I am also very excited to teach them some of the things that my mother-in-law taught me such as quilting and gardening.
