We can only imagine the strength, bravery, and selfless love you must have as you search for the right family for your child. Thank you for taking the time to review our profile and considering us as potential parents. We have been looking forward to expanding our family for quite some time and will provide all the love, devotion and support that a child needs.
We both enjoy volunteering. One of the events we volunteer at every year is the Special Olympics. We fully enjoy getting to know the participants and helping them through each event they are competing in. Another non-profit we are passionate about is YESS (Youth Emergency Services &Shelter) as they are helping children/families in need of shelter and provide a safe place. It is important to us to volunteer and give back to the community in any way we can.
Another activity we enjoy, is going out to the lake to go boating/canoeing on warm days and afterwards it is traditional to get snow cones. We love the outdoors and do as much activities as we can when the weather is nice such as fishing, bike riding through the trails, and going on runs/walks with our dog, Ebony. John enjoys playing his electric guitar and has been teaching himself how to play his favorite songs. Crystal enjoys crafting and scrapbooking in her down time. We look forward to when we have a child to share in the fun leisure activities we enjoy.
We believe parenting means not only providing for your child but also always being there for the child by listening to their wants and needs. What we look forward to most about being a parent is sharing in our family traditions such as carving pumpkins, putting up the Christmas tree and family game nights. We look forward to reading a bed time story to the child every night as our parents had done when we were children. We also look forward to doing arts and crafts with the child, learning what hobbies they are interested in and encouraging them to pursue any interests they have.
We love exploring and trying new things, our most recent adventure was when we vacationed to Jamaica. We rode horses through a wooded trail that led out to the beach and we were able to ride them in the ocean. We then went zip-lining. Even though John is scared of heights he knew how much Crystal wanted to try zip-lining so he put his fear aside and went with her. We both had such a blast going zip-lining for the first time, and John even agreed to go again another time! We look forward to going on many more adventures and sharing with a child the wonders of the world and having adventures to remember.
