Our hearts are pounding with excitement just with the idea that you are reading our profile. We have been looking forward to expanding our family for quite some time. We are fun-loving and very family oriented couple, and we can’t wait to begin our family. We know that will do our best to be excellent parents. We hope you will join us on this journey.
We love to travel (both domestically and internationally). We travel every other year between Peru and Brazil to visit our families. We are beach lovers so we visit our family in Orlando a lot, too. Our weekends are often spent entertaining friends and family in our home with a BBQ. We are fortunate and blessed to have many close friends who are also considered family. Many of our friends have children so they are looking forward to another child being around to play with.
We can't wait to have a little one to share our lives with and look forward to incorporating into all of the fun things we love to do! We both love soccer and watch games on TV and also locally. We both enjoy volleyball and play on occasion. We follow Cardinals baseball and sometimes attend the games in person. We enjoy going to the zoo, Grant's Farm, the Arch, and the butterfly house. It will be so much fun introducing a child to these activities!
About ten years ago, Patricia was at her sister's house watching a World Cup soccer game and saw Marcio there. We were introduced but never really talked to each other much. Patricia did not even speak to Marcio, except to say hello for the next few years. The Latin community in our city is rather small, so we often ran into each other. Over the years, we would say hello to each other at various events, but simply remained acquaintances. One night, Patricia went to meet a girlfriend at a salsa dance club and the girlfriend did not show up, but Marcio was there. Once again, we met, but this time we danced all night together. Three days later, we went on our first date and three months later, we were married. The rest is history.
We have a wonderful blend of Peruvian and Brazilian culture in our backgrounds, but also we have added our American heritage to our lives. While there are differences in Peruvian and Brazilian cultures, there are many similarities. The importance of family, our religion, love for similar foods and music are all touchstones we share. While this is based in how we grew up, we continue to blend our cultural background with our American lives. We feel as though our chance to come to America is like winning the lottery. We appreciate all that America has to offer and do not take it for granted. We would share that sense of appreciation with this child. So, this child would come to know food and music of our original cultures, but also the customs and traditions of our adopted American culture in the United States.
