Thank you so much for taking the time to look at our profile. We cannot begin to imagine what you are going through, and we hope you find some comfort in knowing that we will cherish your child and he or she will be our number one priority. Since we got married, we have had many adventures, but Adoption is by far the best one and the one we have been waiting for the most.

Our Lifestyle
Hitting the Slopes

We both have full time jobs that are fulfilling and where we strive to become better persons each day. Our jobs also give us enough flexibility to enjoy other aspects of life. Alvaro works five minutes away from home, and comes back in the middle of the day to walk our dogs. Camila works in a main cancer hospital 20 minutes away. She takes care of patients two days a week and the other three she works in clinical research which is very convenient as she can do it from home.

Every night we get together to talk about our day while we cook dinner and usually we talk with our extended families at night. We have very laid back weekends, usually taking the dogs for walks, catching a movie or gathering with friends for a barbeque. Traveling is also a very important part of our lifestyle. We have been so fortunate to be able to travel through Europe, Asia, North and South America. Getting to meet people from all over the world and learn about their heritage and culture is such a rewarding experience that we are really looking forward to share it with your child. We also love skiing, we cannot wait to bring a child to the slopes with us!

Discussing Adoption

We have been preparing to adopt for a long time and have done a lot of reading and training about the best way to talk with your child about his/her adoption. We would love to develop a plan with you to talk about adoption in a transparent and open way right from the start. We would like to make a book we can read to your baby every night that includes her/his birth story, cultural heritage, family traditions, as well any information you want us to share with him/her. We are convinced that having an open conversation about adoption in every step of childhood will help build self-confidence and will only confirm the love we all have for him/her. We will be there to support your child on every step of his or her journey. We also understand if you decide not to participate in this process, however we would appreciate any information that you would like to share.

Our Dogs, Tequila & Nala
Enjoying a Walk with the Pups

Our dogs, Tequila and Nala, are a very important part of our everyday lives and part of our family. Besides everything that is said about pets helping reduce stress, improve self-esteem, increase interactions with other people, and being great companions, to us having a pet is a reminder of unconditional love and respect for one another, which is something we value and will teach to your child. Having a dog in our family is not only fun and exciting, but also rewarding in that they remind us that the world can be appreciated in different ways. We enjoy going for long walks with them, sit at a coffee shop, or just cuddle with them while watching TV. Our dogs are extremely well behaved and adore children. Nala is on the road to get her canine good citizen diploma, and we are planning on training her to be a therapy dog so that she can volunteer at the hospital where Camila works. We couldn’t imagine a life without dogs.
