Two Agencies, One Goal
American Adoptions Announces New International Adoption Partnership
American Adoptions has helped thousands of families make their dreams of parenthood come true through domestic adoption. However, over the years many of the families who have contacted us have also indicated a strong desire to give a child a better life through international adoption. In an effort to better serve our families, and the millions of children worldwide in need of a loving family, American Adoptions is pleased to announce a new partnership with Americans Adopting Orphans. Both agencies worked to help streamline the domestic and internatioinal adoption process, making the transition between the two options easier, more seemless, and more cost effective. The end result is families can now choose to add to their family in the United States or by adopting a child overseas. This partnership will not only offer you new adoption choices, but will be a new hope to the millions of children worldwide in need of a home.
Americans Adopting Orphans currently offers adoption programs in China, Ukraine, Burundi, Ethiopia and Kazakhstan.
Americans Adopting Orphans has been building families through international adoption since 1994. Founded by Dave and Cindy Ptasnik, who themselves adopted two children internationally from China, Americans Adopting Ophans completes approximately 100 adoptions each year. Americans Adopting Orphans offers adoptive families the freedom of choice via a flexible adoption program, which allows families to decide the level of services they desire. Americans Adopting Orphans also has been granted Hague accreditation.
“Americans Adopting Orphans has long had a strong presence in the international adoption community and it this strength and level of commitment that lead us to initially begin discussing a partnership between our agencies,” said Scott Mars, president of the American Adoptions Board of Directors. “American Adoptions is excited to announce this new venture with Americans Adopting Orphans and we look forward to what the future brings for our organizations.”
