Teen Pregnancy - Information for Young Women
Teen pregnancy is very tough on teenage girls. Last year, more than 400,000 teenagers experienced an unplanned pregnancy.
It is not uncommon for teenagers to receive pressure from family and friends who tend to glamorize the idea that raising a child is easy or is simply the teenage girl’s burden.
Young teenage girls are also very susceptible to the guilt of being pregnant and this guilt can lead them to make hasty decisions regarding their pregnancy.
Some teenage women feel shame for engaging in intercourse and often fear how their parents and friends will react upon discovering their pregnancy.
These situations above make it very important for each pregnant teenage woman to explore her options with a good, qualified counselor until they are able to determine what the best is for them.
