Hospital Checklist

It is always a good idea to pack for the hospital experience in advance, as pregnancies do not always give you time to pack! The following is a list of items you may want to consider bringing to the hospital:

____ Package of maxi pads with wings

____ 3-4 pairs of underwear, preferably cotton for greater comfort

____ Maternity outfit to wear home, keep in mind you will still be swollen and regular clothes will not yet fit

____ Nightgown

____ Pair of socks

____ Toothbrush and toothpaste

____ Hair brush

____ Blow dryer, curling iron or straightener

____ Makeup and lip balm, as your lips often dry out during delivery due to dehydration

____ Any pictures or memorabilia that may make you feel better

____ Snacks

____ Magazines or books for post-delivery recuperation time

____ Notebook with phone numbers

____ Watch to help time contractions

____ Hair band, hat or something to pull hair out of your way

____ Backpack or luggage to load everything listed above
