Difficulty Sleeping

Because your body is going through such dramatic changes its no wonder you are having restless sleep despite feeling absolutely exhausted.

Often, an increase in heart rate, bizarre dreams, anxiety, positioning, shortness of breath, heartburn can all contribute to sleepless nights.

Try some of these insomnia remedies:

  • Try to get in a regular routine, allowing time for your mind and body to wind down before bed.
  • Use pillows to help with body positioning.
  • Give yourself a leg or foot massage.
  • Move to a different location.
  • Listen to soft music.
  • Try a glass of warm milk.
  • Exercise during the day.
  • Avoid drinking a lot of fluids as to prevent from getting up to go the bathroom a ton of times.
  • Remember to use your bed for sleeping – teach your body that the bed isn’t for watching tv, doing crafts, etc…it's for rest.
