WIC is a federally funded program. WIC stands for woman, infants, and children. Its main focus is to help the above who are nutritionally at risk. WIC is not an entitlement program which means they are not forced to help everyone who feels they should receive their help. You must apply to WIC and they determine your or your child’s eligibility.
