Growing up, an adopted child is given many advantages. It does not mean every adoptive family is the richest family in America, but most adoptive families can offer a life filled with amazing opportunities.

 

Two loving parents-  Adopted children receive the amazing gift of growing up with two parents who love them with all their heart. These children grow up with two parents who eagerly pour their time, love and energy into their child’s happiness. 

 

On the other hand, many biological children unfortunately grow up without a father. Other biological children have father figures who breeze in and out of their lives, leaving their kids feeling sad and incomplete. 

 

More disturbing though is the tens of thousands of biological children who wish they never had a father. No child should have to endure a time when they hate their father because of how he treats their mother. No child should ever have hear they were a mistake or unwanted by their father.

 

It is a horrifying fact that some biological fathers offer their child a very disappointing life. A child’s life does not have to be that way - a child’s life should be lavished with love and happiness by both a mother and a father.

 

Adoption gives children the advantage of having a happy family. Through adoption, children can live full, happy lives simply because they receive unbelievable love and support from two wonderful parents.

 

Financial security-  Adopted children are raised by a mother and father who offer financial security. Adopted children aren’t forced to watch their parents stress about paying the rent, having their utilities shut off or worrying about how they can afford to fix the car. 

 

Being adopted, a child is able to grow up financially secure. Financial security does not guarantee happiness, however, without it a family’s life is burdened with stress and unhappiness. Growing up financially secure, an adopted child has the opportunity to lead a much happier life. 

 

Everyday dreams-  Adopted children are able to pursue wonderful hobbies including painting, soccer, gymnastics, baseball, playing the piano, etc. Adopted children are able to follow their daily dreams because adopted families want to invest their time, money and energy in their child’s dreams. These children are able to follow their heart’s desire.

 

Excellent neighborhoods-  Adopted children grow up in some of the safest neighborhoods in America, filled with friendly neighbors, beautiful parks and fabulous schools. While safety is important to every family, adopted children gain much more than safety, they get to grow up in a wonderful neighborhood filled with other great families and friends.      

Better grade schools, junior highs, and high schools-  Adopted children receive some of the best education imaginable. This education allows them to truly explore what they would like to be when they grow up. Not only are they afforded the opportunity of a great education, but their adoptive parents are also financially able to provide them tutors (if needed), the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities or other activities that teach children valuable life lessons as well.

College- Most adopted children find themselves pursuing their dreams in college.  They have the freedom to truly follow their dreams, whether they want to be a doctor, attorney, engineer, stock broker, architect, counselor or teacher. Having financially secure parents, adopted children are able to go to college so they can pursue a career they will truly love.   Also most adoptive parents include atleast one parent who has a college degree.  Studies show that when parents have not completed college themselves, its far more likely their kids will not complete college.  So the chances are much higher that an adopted child will complete college just because their adoptive parents did.

Stay at home parent-  If a birth mother chooses a family who has a stay at home mom, the child is able to grow up with a mother who is there for them when they come home from school.
