First off I would like to introduce my self. My name is Lauren and I am a birthmother. My beautiful little girl was born on September 11 2006 at 8:35 in the morning. I first want to share a little about my pregnancy.

At first I wasn't sure if adoption was the right choice for me, but now that everything is said and done, I know in my heart it was for the best. In January of 2006, we found the perfect adoptive couple to raise our precious baby girl. We talked on the phone and finally met in person on March 4th when I gave birth. Everyday they came to see the baby and me.

I first became a mother at the age of 16. Since then, I have been on my own struggling to support a family. I finished high school, but college has been hard.

My name is Pacita I am twenty-five years old and have three children and raising two of them on my own with only little help from my dad. So, imagine my shock when I found out I was pregnant with my fourth child at six months pregnant

I began to look online at adoption stories and different web pages with families who wanted to adopt. One family I saw stuck out a little more than others, and that is how I came across American Adoptions. I knew that I was making the best decision for my son....

I am a 29 year old single mom of a 3 year old girl... Becoming pregnant again, which I didn't find out until my 6^th month, freaked me out to say the least. How could I possibly take care of another child, while dealing with my own medical conditions, if I could barely take care of the child I had already? Even though I had used protection during the time the new child was conceived, there was only one option for me: adoption.

I was in a relationship and the father started to change after we became engaged and we eventually grew apart. Just when I started to move on with my liffe, I found out that I was pregnant. So, I called my ex and told him. He didn't believe me and was saying that is wasn't his baby, although it was. In the early stages of my pregnancy I found out I was going to have twins and knew that I wasn't ready for that. Then something happened to one fo the twins and the doctor said that I was only going to have one. I thought about keeping the baby and moving back home, but I wanted a father figure for my child and knew that wouldn't happen so I finally made the decision to adopt him out. I contacted American Adoptions and they were very helpful in helping me find a family for my baby.

I thank American Adoptions for making my decision easy and helping me through the whole process. They are truly God-sent and everyone that works for them.

My decision for adoption was possibly one of the hardest decisions I've ever made. I am a mother of four children...

Adoption has been such a positive experience for me and I couldn't have gotten through it without Megan and everyone else at American Adoptions. I would recommend it to anyone...
