Courtney's Adoption Story

I was put in a difficult situation. I was 17 and pregnant. At first, I wanted to abort it, but doing so was against everything I believed in and I had every intention of attending college, but very well couldn’t do so with having a newborn baby.

I was online one day and came across American Adoptions. That’s when I realized I could give this baby a good life. Not long after, I had picked a family and when the baby was born, we met. Seeing the parents with the baby made me think. At that point, I realized it was the right choice, I did the right thing. I have never thought I could place a child, but when I did, I knew that I gave that couple the greatest gift in life – a baby that they could love and be theirs.
