Kristen's Adoption Story

I hadn’t told anyone I was pregnant until I contacted American Adoptions. I had thought my decision through very thoroughly and decided since I wasn’t ready for a child, I wanted to give my baby everything I couldn’t provide and adoption was my best choice.  It took me a while to actually find the right family. I chose a family and waited weeks for the paperwork to go through, with my mind dead set on them. I later found out they chose another agency and was devastated. Then I went with my next choice, Stephen and Jill. We had begun contact via phone and email exchange and eventually planned on meeting up. They came to my house and as soon as they got here, we did nothing but talk for hours upon hours until it was time to go out to eat. We talked more and more. It was almost as if we knew each other. Weeks went by, we kept exchanging emails and phone calls. As I began to process I realized this family I chose and I have a PERFECT match. I appreciate everything American Adoptions has done for me and brought a wonderful addition to my family, into my life.
