Krystal's adoption story

I chose adoption because I became a single mom. My fiancée didn’t want a family anymore and I knew I couldn’t take care of two children on my own and raise them in a good environment. I knew my bitterness and frustration wouldn’t be healthy for the kids. I got most of my support from my would-have-been mother-in-law, which made things a lot easier. She helped me choose the family. The main thing that made this hard is that this was a planned pregnancy and then once I was pregnant everything went downhill. My experience in the hospital was so wonderful. I couldn’t have asked for better. Meeting the couple made me feel much better about my decision. They deserved a baby so much. They were so caring and such good people. I’m at peace with my decision, although I do miss the baby, I know it was the best thing I could have done for both my children.
