Nicole's Adoption Story

I only worked with American Adoptions while I was in Kansas City and when I first came to Michigan. My caseworker did, however, stay in touch with me throughout the whole process.

From the first time I called and talked to someone named Michelle, I knew what choice to make. Michelle was a birthmother and that helped so much. I then met Alli. Although Alli was not a birthmother I knew I could count on her. She made me feel very confident in her and she was very supportive and helpful with everything that came up. Alli also made it very clear to me that if there were things she could not answer she would find someone who could.

Although adoption is not an easy choice; it is a wonderful choice. I could not have asked for a better experience and I wish I could personally thank everyone involved in, not just those involved in my adoption, but all adoptions. What a wonderful gift for everyone! No one loses in adoption as far as I can tell. It may be hard and very sad sometimes, but there is no doubt in my mind that it is the BEST choice.
