Braden & Lindsay
We are so excited to begin this new chapter as parents through adoption. You have our sincere appreciation for even reviewing our profile. We respect your courage in considering adoption and want you to feel loved and supported throughout. We also hope the following words give you a meaningful glimpse into our lives and demonstrate that we have a loving home.
Adoption in Our Lives
We will be open with the child about his/her adoption at the earliest possible age and opportunity. We know first-hand the complexity and beauty of adoption. Lindsay was born in Seoul, South Korea and lived her first three months with a foster mom until she traveled to the United States to her parents and two excited older sisters. A few years later, Lindsay's brother, Matthew, was also adopted from South Korea. Adoption is always a central part of Lindsay's story and the story of her family.
Braden was conceived though an anonymous donor and later in life located his biological family. The process of developing meaningful relationships with Braden's biological family has been extremely rewarding. Braden's relationships with his parents was also strengthened due to a newfound openness.
Because of our personal history with adoption and donor conception, we want our child to know everything they can about you. We believe that it is only through openness, truth, and love that this adoption process will be transformed into something wonderful which is a family that transcends traditional concepts.
Our Leisure Time
In our leisure time we love to travel and visit other cities. In recent years we have been fortunate to visit Chicago, Stowe, Boston, and Provincetown. Most recently, we visited Bucerias, Mexico for a family wedding. It was a wonderful time celebrating love, relaxing by the pool, and enjoying family and friends. Braden's family has a cabin in a nice little secluded spot where we like to camp, have bonfires, hike, and swim.
We also enjoy being at home where we can host dinner and game nights with family and friends. We love to cook and try new recipes such as budae jigae (Korean Army Stew), bulgogi, pho, and spicy miso pasta. Our favorite games are Mario Kart, Pictionary, Rummikub, Euchre, Catan, and Monopoly.
Braden and his friends from childhood generally try to go on a ski trip each winter, and in the summer we enjoy hiking to waterfalls and swimming at a state park near where Braden's dad lives. Lindsay enjoys journaling, reading, and watching movies. Our pets bring us so much joy and in our spare time we love to take the dogs for walks or hikes.
Our Pets

Anyone who knows us will tell you that our pets are central to our lives as they provide constant companionship, entertainment, and support. We do not consider our pets as “just” animals but important members of our family that have taught us a sense of responsibility, unconditional love, and how to live in the moment.
As newlyweds, we rescued our first dog, Maverick. He was a faithful companion on our many adventures for 15 years. We felt true loss and emptiness when Maverick departed this world in 2020. However, we found new joy and love by welcoming a Bernedoodle puppy, Bernie, to the family. Bernie completed puppy training class where he learned good manners, enjoys plenty of walks, and loves being the center of attention. The head of the animal pack is our Yorkshire Terrier named Emmy. She is happiest in her basket with her favorite lambchop toy or out in the yard chasing squirrels. Samson, a beautiful Maine Coon cat, has a fluffy tail and a huge personality. He loves to play with Bernie and snuggle in bed or on the couch. We are certain they will all enjoy the presence of a child in the home.

Our House and Neighborhood

We live in Pennsylvania, on a wonderful cul-de-sac in a quiet neighborhood with many young families. Kids are always playing outside, walking their dogs, and enjoying the local parks. One of the nearby parks has baseball diamonds, basketball courts, tennis courts and playgrounds. Our good friends live next door with their young daughter. We love to walk our dogs, Emmy and Bernie, around the neighborhood and along the rail trail a few streets over.
Halloween is one of the best times of year in our neighborhood with a parade, kids trick-or-treating, and most families hanging out in their driveways passing out candy while enjoying the cool fall weather.
Our home has three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, and a large fenced-in area. The backyard with its covered patio is our favorite part of the home, and we love to host family and friends for seafood boils, BBQs, and game nights.
We are in a suburb of a bigger city located a half hour drive away that has sporting events, amazing restaurants, festivals, and museums! Showing off our city is one our favorite activities when out-of-towners come to visit.
Our Extended Families

We love spending time with our families! We are fortunate and grateful to both have supportive and involved families. Braden's dad lives about an hour away from our house and Braden's mom lives 4 hours away and has plans to relocate back to his area in the near future. Braden has many aunts, uncles, and cousins who live in the same city as us, and we love to celebrate during the holidays and get together for game nights. We have hosted large family gatherings in our house including Thanksgiving dinner with 25 people, birthdays, and engagement parties. These events provide great memories full of love, laughter, good food, and hilarious games like Pictionary.
Lindsay's parents recently moved to Kansas, and we try to visit with them frequently. Lindsay has two older sisters, one older brother, and five nieces and nephews. When our family is together, we enjoy playing the card game Euchre, outdoor activities, and eating good food. Lindsay's mom makes chicken pot pies on Christmas Eve.
Our family is so excited for us to embark on the journey of adoption and ready to welcome a child with open arms.
From Us to You

Thank you for taking this moment and opportunity to connect. We cannot imagine how difficult it must be to choose a family based on photos and short essays, but we have tried our best to show our true selves in this profile. Please know that providing a loving and secure home for your child is our most important priority. We are good people who have been incredibly blessed with our opportunities, relationships with family and friends, and financial resources. With us, your child will have a loving, fun, stable, and supportive family that will provide every opportunity for success.
We have been married for 16 years and have had a beautiful journey supporting each other through undergraduate and graduate school, career changes, and cross country moves. Our strong relationship is based on mutual love, respect, communication, and allowing each other to be who they are without trying to force change. Adoption is important to us as we believe that all life should be nurtured and supported. Allowing us to be parents would be incredibly meaningful and a blessing to us both. Rest assured that we will celebrate adoption and honor you and the gift of life you have given your child.
Braden is an attorney and Lindsay is an accountant. We both work from home and have a great work life balance. This will allow us to be involved in a child's life and be present for school activities, sports, or hobbies.
We are fortunate to have supportive parents, siblings, extended family, and friends. They would describe us as generous and fun-loving people. We enjoy spending time with loved ones, hosting dinners and game nights, and continuing family traditions. Some values that are important to us include honesty, respect, compassion, education, and work-life balance. It is also important for people to find their own passions, and we are committed to supporting this child's dreams each day.
Our family includes our two dogs, Emmy and Bernie, and cat, Samson. We love our pets and all animals in general and look forward to sharing the special bond we have with our pets with a child. We look forward to Bernie, as the newest member of the family, growing up with a child.
Your child would join our adventure to dream big and enjoy life. We look forward to future family travels exploring mountains, beaches, and off-beaten paths. Enjoying home life by cooking, playing games, and curling up on the couch for a movie will also be extremely precious moments to share with a child. Celebrating the big and little things in life with family and friends will be part of the routine.
You are significant to us and always will be. Accordingly, we will gladly send emails, letters, and photos as your child grows, and would also welcome visits when the time is right. We plan to work together with you, to maintain a strong relationship. We will always speak highly of you and respect your decision with our words and actions. We look forward to the role you will play, whatever you chose for that to be. Finally, we would be happy to answer any other questions you may have about us and want you to feel complete assurance about our intentions to raise your child as a beloved member of our family.
We are humbled by your bravery and strength, and we hope you feel respected and supported throughout this process. Thank you again for taking the time to read about us and consider us as parents for your child. We promise to love him or her with all our hearts.
With Much Love,
Braden & Lindsay
