We love spending time together. A lot of our leisure time is spent doing active things with family and friends. We love to go on bike rides and being active. We both belong to gyms and enjoy exercising and stay healthy. Matt spends a lot of his free time doing CrossFit and also competes in local competitions with friends.

We are really into playing board games and hosting friends at our house. We spend a lot of weekends playing games with our friends and their children. While we are both very competitive, we find it most fun to compete against each other! Erin is the queen of all things trivia and Matt is best at almost all strategy games.

We also take a lot of pride in working on our house. We have done a lot of renovations and home projects together. Most weekends you will find us working on something in the house or in our yard.

Erin About Matt: Matt is an amazing partner; he has been my strength and rock through the hardest times in my life. I love how I he is always ready to make me laugh and knows how to put a smile on my face. I have watched matt grow from a teenager to a man and am so proud of the man he has become. He is the hardest worker I know. He has this tough exterior with the most kind and loving heart. I know he will be the most amazing father.

Matt About Erin: I love how selfless Erin is. She is always putting others above herself. Erin is a giver and all she does is for others. She takes so much joy in giving to others that she has made it her career working for non-profits to raising funds for the most vulnerable around us. I love how smart and witty she is always able to make me laugh and look at the bright side of life. She challenges me daily to be the best version of myself and to make me a better person. Erin was a caregiver for her sick mother. She spent months at her mother's side caring for her and taking care of her. I have witnessed the kind of mother she will be and cannot wait to see her as a parent.

While we do not come from diverse cultural backgrounds, our hearts are open to a child that may. We are doing our best to learn and educate ourselves about other cultures. We look forward to teaching our child about their heritage and incorporating it into our lives. It is our hope to learn as much as possible from you, the birth parents, about our child's cultural heritage and what you find to be the most important. Having an open adoption will allow for us to learn from you and help us to be educated.

No matter what we will always make sure the child knows that they are beautiful and loved. We want to start at a young age teaching our children about their cultural background and where they come from. We plan to use toys, recipes, books and movies to help teach our children about diversity.

We have a culturally diverse friend and family group. We want our child to be raised with members of their own and many other cultural backgrounds. Above all we want a child to be so loved, knowing we respect the ancestry.

We love living in the Midwest in our quiet Kansas neighborhood. We live in a beautiful 3-bedroom 3 bath house that we purchased four years ago. We have put in a lot of effort and energy renovating and making it a dream home. When we were looking for homes, it was important for us to find a home that our family could grow into.

We live in a traditional subdivision with lots of young families. Our local elementary school is nestled in the neighborhood only a street over! We are only a short walking distance to playgrounds, parks, and even a nature trail.

One of our favorite things about our neighborhood is how family friendly the area is. It is so fun to see all the lemonade stands and kids learning to ride bikes in the summer. We cannot wait till our home is filled with such excitement.

We both come from loud and loving extend families. Erin's older brother has 3 kids who we try to spend as much time as possible with even though they are a few hours away. The rest of our families live a little bit further away in Michigan, but we enjoy traveling when we can. Matt works for his aunt who lives nearby, and we spend a lot of time with her and her friends in her pool. Our families join with in the excitement of expanding our family though adoption.

In 2019 we lost Erin's mom to a short, but devastating battle with cancer. She was the glue to our family, but this loss has brought us so much closer. Her loss has helped us to learn just how important family is and we try to live each day cherishing those we love.

We both feel lucky to have a sibling that we are close to and very loving families. When our families visit, we love to play card games and explore new restaurants together. We can't wait till all the kids are old enough to take part in our game nights!

We have always known we wanted to have children. After years of struggle and lots of heartbreak our journey has brought us to you. It would be a great honor for us to expand our family through adoption. Family has always been just a major part of our lives and we are excited to bring a child into ours.

Just to tell you a little more about ourselves: We have known each other since college and 14 years later we are still the best for friends. Our relationship is built on a strong foundation of friendship.

Erin works for a non-profit organization that helps those battling cancer. She plans events and fundraises to support the mission and to ensure a future without cancer. For Erin the most important part of her job is knowing she is making a positive impact on her community and the world. After suffering infertility and multiple miscarriages the work she does is even more important to her.

Matt works as project manager for his aunt's commercial roofing and sheet metal company. He is also a First Lieutenant in the United States National Guard. Matt joined the military as way to do his part and make a difference for our nation.

We are so excited about the possibility of adopting a child. It would be such a blessing to welcome a baby into our family and experience the joys of raising a child. Our families are so supportive and excited for our family to grow through adoption. Matt's aunt is already planning birthday parties! Any child that joins our family will be love and adored by our extend families with aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins already excited to meet them. We feel so lucky to have so many family members and friends ready to love our children no matter where they come from.

If you choose us to be your child's family, we can promise you your child will know who you are and know what an amazing, selfless gift you have given to our family. We will always speak of you with kind words, love and respect. An open adoption is important to us to ensure that your child knows where the come from and that you made the choice to pursue adoption out of love. You will receive letters and photos regularly with updates about your child. We want the adoption to be as open as you are comfortable with. We hope to have visits and for you to share in special occasions with us.
