Landon & Rachael
One of the biggest lessons we've learned is that life is what happens when you're busy making other plans, but that doesn't make life any less beautiful. If given the opportunity, we would cherish nothing more than to share our passions, joys, senses of humor, and most of all, our love with your child. Regardless of who you choose, we appreciate so incredibly much you taking the time to read our profile.
Adoption in Our Lives
Our decision to adopt was crystal clear for multiple reasons, with the biggest one being because that's how we were blessed with our son, Brooks.
We adopted Brooks in 2019 from birth, and he has been the center of our world ever since. He's so incredibly sweet, funny, loving, a fantastic helper, and loves to play sports, with any type of truck or construction themed vehicles that exists, Paw Patrol, and all kinds of games, building blocks, and puzzles.
However, we feel that our family isn’t yet complete, and would love more than anything to welcome another child into our lives. Funnily enough, even before we mentioned adopting another child to Brooks, he began completely on his own asking us, "When is my little baby getting here?" Brooks talks all the time about the toys he's going to get and the cakes and treats he's going to make for the new baby. With his wonderful disposition and sweet nature, we know Brooks would make an amazing big brother!
Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other

Rachael About Landon: Landon is home to me. We've known each other since middle school, and over the many years, an amazing level of trust and friendship had been established before we even began dating. Both my love for him and his love for me give me confidence to be myself, and the stability of our relationship is something I'm thankful for every day. We're lucky enough to share the same morals, same sense of humor, and same outlook on life, and he is the most incredible father to Brooks, so I know would be absolutely amazing with a second child.
Landon About Rachael: Rachael is the most amazing person I know. She is my best friend and the only person I could ever imagine getting to spend my life with. She helps me in so many ways every day to be a better person. She is an amazing mother to Brooks, and helps him grow into the strong, confident, wonderful person I know he'll become. I'm so fortunate and thankful for the love she shows Brooks and me each and every day.
Our Family Dream
Our dream for this child, above all else, is for him/her to be happy, healthy, and someone who's able to find what he/she is passionate about in life. While that may seem simple, in this day and age, self-confidence and true happiness seem to be more and more difficult to come by. For example, as trivial as it seems to mention, neither of us are 'swept up' by social media, which in so many ways enables comparison to others, often at the expense of one's ability to appreciate what he/she has. We will encourage this child to carry themselves the same way. We overall have a healthy outlook on life; that it's about the simple things and is not to be taken too seriously, which we wish to pass down to this child in one of the many, many things we'll teach him/her about life. With the love we'll show this child, we'll aspire for him/her to in turn love and treat others with respect, to learn how to become a good friend to others, to identify proper priorities if push ever comes to shove, and to live an honest and appreciative life. Each of us has had a wonderful upbringing thanks to our families, who have always been nothing but supportive; and we hope and pray to have the opportunity to provide the same for this child.

Our House and Neighborhood

We moved into our newly built home in 2022, and everything about our neighborhood has surpassed every expectation for how welcoming and family-oriented our community is. We actually moved to our new community because it caters to young families (nearly EVERYONE has young children), and we've been blown away by how friendly all of our neighbors are and the abundance of amenities available. There are 5 parks (one being by our lake, another with huge outdoor building blocks, another with a huge slide and amazing lookout spot, etc.), several pools (with slides and lifeguards always on duty), a gym, tennis & basketball courts, an arts/crafts/woodshop, a lake with a dock, and multiple neighborhood-wide events held every month. Our neighborhood takes great efforts to ensure it's aesthetically pleasing, safe, and well maintained for all of its residents.
The elementary school is less than half a mile down the street from our house, with the middle school and high school each less than 2 miles away. Another reason we moved to our current area is because our school district is one of the best ranked in our very large Texas metroplex, and our specific schools were built just recently as part of our community's development.
Our two-story house is 4 bedrooms, 4.5 baths, 2 living areas, 2 offices, dining area, and kitchen, along with our covered patio and turfed backyard with a putting green. We love it as our new safe haven!
Our Extended Families

We're both fortunate to come from families comprised of wonderful, salt-of-the-earth people who we genuinely love spending time with. Nearly our entire immediate and extended families on both sides all live in the same city. This makes splitting time between both sides of the family for holidays, birthdays, and spur of the moment gatherings easy to do. When we get together, there's always plenty of game-watching or game-playing taking place (or often times both). With kids on both sides, there's plenty of other cousins and second-cousins to play with. We also are fortunate to have plenty of shining examples of loving and long-lasting marriages in nearly every couple in our family. Our son, Brooks, is absolutely 100% loved and treasured by every member of our family, and the story of how he became a part of our family is a favorite of everyone's to tell.
The holidays in particular have become magical in recent years with the addition of Brooks and his cousins. The Easter eggs hunts are so much fun, as well as football and the other yard games we play at Thanksgiving, the cookie decorating, light sightseeing, and tree ornament making we all do together at Christmas.
From Us to You
Hello! We first and foremost want to thank you for taking the time to read our profile and to commend you for having the courage, selflessness, and strength that's required to consider this decision. Thanks to fiercely brave people like you, other couples in this world are able to have hope in growing their families when they otherwise could not.
To provide a glimpse into our backstory, we tried to have a child of our own for several years, after which we were finally told by doctors that even with science's help, conceiving a biological child of our own was just not in the cards for us. So we've taken that message as God's way of telling us that we are destined to go on a slightly different path. After some self-reflection and exploration, it was incredibly easy to realize that our desire is to become parents, not necessarily to become pregnant ...so shortly thereafter we found ourselves writing this letter to you.
,p>We cannot express in words how honored and privileged we'll be if selected to be the adoptive parents of your baby. We know we'll be receiving the greatest gift a person can possibly give in this entire world and will welcome him/her with the most open of arms. We look forward to introducing the child to our entire family, and most importantly to our son (also adopted) Brooks. Our "village" is comprised of not only us but of our loving, down-to-earth family and friends; and we know the child will be loved and cherished exactly the same as every other member of our family, just as Brooks is. We also have experience with adoption outside of Brooks, as Landon's dad was adopted as a newborn as well. By hearing his stories and through our personal experiences with Brooks, we know we would provide another child all the love and opportunities parents can give.We are excited to take the love, commitment, and fun we have in our marriage and extend those qualities to our new little one. We first met riding the same bus home in middle school, and over the years danced around the idea of being more than friends. It was a mere 12 years later when we began dating, and were married 3 years after that. Over that time we were able to learn how well we work together and how we're able to balance each other out if ever one of us needs it. We look forward to how much fun we'll have and growth we'll experience in taking on the amazing, wonderful challenge of raising another child to fulfill a family of four.
We are firm believers that it never hurts to sprinkle humor into life from time to time. We certainly know adoption is a matter not to be taken lightly; but in our own personal experience of facing curve balls the universe has thrown at us, we've learned that nothing is ever so bad that there's not at least something to smile about.
Most importantly, we want you to know how grateful and significant you will always be to us, and in return, we'll work our hardest to assure you that your baby is in the very best of hands. We will happily share photos and emails of the child's growth, accomplishments, and experiences if you'd like to receive them. Regardless, we'll be 100% open and honest with the child about adoption and of how much of a miracle both you and he/she are to us. You will forever be an angel for what you have provided to our family. We thank you very much for considering us in your decision.
With love and respect,
Landon & Rachael
