Lee & Michelle

Thank you for considering us as potential parents for your child. We have been praying about how to grow our family and are looking forward to becoming parents. We have so much love to share and look forward to sharing that with a child. We know that you have difficult decisions to make and want you to know that we are praying for you through this time.

Our Passions

Together With Our Pups

We both have a strong passion for agriculture, caring for the land and the outdoors. We are fortunate to work in careers that allow us to be a part of that! Lee is an agriculture equipment mechanic and Michelle is a soil conservation technician. Outside of work we have a small hobby farm where we raise goats. We are both passionate about animals and give all of our pets and livestock the best care possible.

We also enjoy many other hobbies that allow us to get out in nature such as camping, hunting, fishing and gardening. Our garden is something we take great pride in; we recently have started doing some canning and hope to expand on that in the future.

We also enjoy spending time with our family and friends. We really enjoy having friends over for dinner and playing different card or board games. Another favorite is sharing our farm with our friends and their children, especially when we have baby goats for everyone to enjoy!

Our Leisure Time

Enjoying a Quiet Evening at Home

We attend a small church weekly in Michelle's hometown. Michelle enjoys cooking or baking for various events with the other church ladies when the opportunity arises. Lee enjoys wood working and metal working. He often constructs things that we can use on our farm or in our house. Lee is always willing to teach Michelle how to do various construction and together we have done the majority of the remodeling on our house. We also love to spend time outdoors. One way we like to spend our summers is camping. We go camping a few weekends every summer at a nearby lake. When at the lake we enjoy fishing and kayaking. We often camp with friends. Our other hobbies are on our small farm. We have goats, chickens, ducks and a horse. We enjoy spending time watching our animals just do their thing and look forward to baby goats every spring! We look forward to being able to share all of these traditions and hobbies with a child and making new traditions as a family.

Our Pets

With Max & Layla

Lee grew up on a farm and always had a lot of pets growing up. While Michelle grew up in town, her family farmed and had many pets as well. Some of these pets were a little larger than average. We had cows, dogs, cats, even horses around. Naturally, we both still love to be around animals!

We have 3 good dogs. Our indoor dog, lovingly called Puppy, is a 7-year-old heeler mix. Puppy goes everywhere with us, camping, hunting, or just driving around! Outside we have Max and Layla, they are livestock guardian dogs. They are large dogs with hearts to match! They love people and lots of attention. They also do a great job of looking after our goats, chickens and ducks.

With Roscoe

We also have a few farm cats, Sassy, Sammi, Stella and Tigger. They love to be carried around and loved on.

In addition to the livestock mentioned, we also have a horse, Roscoe. Roscoe is an older gelding and is a big sweet heart. Michelle enjoys riding horses. Lee is more of an enjoys feeding and petting horses kind of guy.

Our love for animals runs deep and we wouldn't trade living on a farm with all of our pets and livestock for anything!

Our House and Neighborhood

Our Home

We live in the beautiful state of Kansas. We live in a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home. Our favorite room in our house is our family room in the basement, it is spacious and great for having a movie night or playing games! We also have a large kitchen and dining area that is perfect for hosting dinners or game nights.

We live in the country, and the surrounding communities are small, but full of life and tradition! In nearby towns there are several celebrations with parades, street dances, carnivals and activities for kids and adults to participate in.

The county fair is one example that we all look forward to each year. All of the 4-H and FFA kids get to show off their hard work to the community and be recognized. There are many activities for all ages.

Our community has a wonderful park and swimming pool for children to enjoy as well.

Our Extended Families

Michelle's Family

We love spending time with our extended family!

Our family lives in the same county so we have plenty of opportunities to spend time together. One of our favorite things to do when it is nice out is to play baseball, kickball, or catch with our nieces and nephews. We also enjoy playing board games when the weather is not great for being outdoors.

Lee Kayaking With Michelle's Brother

Michelle's family hosts a big Fourth of July party every year. They roast hot dogs over a fire, play yard games and we put on a fireworks show for the family.

Lee's family has a gift exchange at Christmas and we play the saran wrap ball game, the adults and kids alike have a great time with that!

Our nieces and nephews participate in 4-H Club and we enjoy attending the local county fair to watch them show livestock as well as many other projects.

Our families have been supportive of our journey to adoption and I am sure will love this child just as much as we will!

From Us to You

Thank you for taking the time to consider us and allowing us the opportunity to share a little bit about ourselves. We know that this is a difficult road, with many tough decisions to be made in the days to come. Know that we are praying for you and your child daily and wish you the best on this journey. We promise to give a child a loving, stable, and nurturing home.

We met several years ago through mutual friends. It did not take long for us to realize just how much we had in common. We both have a passion for agriculture and just getting outside and exploring nature. We were married in September 2018, after about 2 years of dating. We are quickly approaching our 5th anniversary! Lee works as an agricultural mechanic and Michelle is a soil conservation technician. It is a blessing that we each have a career in a field that we are so passionate about. We live on a farm and look forward to sharing our love of agriculture and the outdoors with a child.

We have always known that we would probably not be able to have biological children. While that has been a difficult journey, we have grown stronger through it. Early on in our relationship, we often talked about adoption and have taken the time to learn and understand the beauty and the challenges that come along with that. We have always considered adoption to be a beautiful and exciting way to build our family and look forward to sharing this journey with you.

For a future child we hope to share our values. Leading by example, we hope to teach a strong work ethic, respect, and Christian principles and beliefs. Education is important to us, and we are fortunate to have a great school district that cares deeply about children and making sure that all children are given an opportunity to learn and grow.

We know that this is a difficult decision for you to make and want you to know that if you choose us to be your child's parents, we promise to share their life with you through letters, photos, and emails. Your child will always know that he or she is deeply loved by you. We look forward to the role that you will have in your child's life and appreciate the selflessness and courage that it takes to consider adoption for your child. We promise to show a child unconditional love, guidance and support throughout their life.

Thank you for considering us as potential parents for your child. We look forward to expanding our family and will provide all of the love, care and support that we can. We will continue to pray for you as you embark on the journey ahead.

Sincerely,

Lee & Michelle
