Our favorite vacation spot is Disney World because of the meaningful memories we have created there with family over the years. While the parks themselves are incredible, it is the time spent together that truly makes the experience special and has turned our visits into a cherished tradition. Disney provides a place where everyone can relax, feel safe, and be fully present with one another. The parks’ welcoming atmosphere and sense of security allow us to enjoy each moment without worry, and it’s easy to unplug from everyday life and feel transported into a completely different world.

What makes Disney especially meaningful is how the shared experiences—laughing together, exploring the parks, and enjoying simple moments—have strengthened our family connections. The exceptional service and attention to detail make each visit feel seamless and cared for, enhancing the overall experience. Over the years, Disney World has become less about the attractions and more about the memories we’ve made together, making it a place that holds lasting value and a special place in our hearts.

To us, being parents means having the extraordinary privilege of sharing the love that has been built and strengthened throughout our marriage and passing that love on to a child. Our relationship has taught us patience, communication, and the importance of showing up for one another every day, and we look forward to offering those same qualities to a child. We are excited to celebrate big milestones and small, everyday moments alike—bedtime stories, shared meals, laughter, and quiet conversations that build trust and connection. We hope to guide a child with kindness, consistency, and understanding, teaching them the value of empathy, resilience, and love by example. Most of all, we look forward to giving a child a sense of belonging and knowing they are never alone. One of the events we always look forward to each year is spending time with our cousin’s family and their soon-to-be three children. We’ve created our own traditions together—vacations, weekend getaways, and fun annual activities like a cardboard boat regatta where we all end up soaked and laughing.

Neither of our siblings have children yet, so everyone is genuinely thrilled and waiting with open arms to welcome the first little one on our side of the family. Whenever friends or family are around, the energy shifts into “game mode.” We love playing board games, card games, video games—really anything that lets us compete, laugh, and enjoy each other’s company.

One of the biggest blessings in our lives is that both of our families live within twenty minutes of our home. It also means a child joining our family will grow up surrounded by grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins who are always nearby.

Food plays a big role in our gatherings. We tend to stick to traditional American dishes for holidays and celebrations, but we’re also adventurous and love trying new recipes. Recently, Justin's brother smoked ribs for his birthday, and we joked that we ate like royalty. Those meals—whether simple or special—are always accompanied by laughter, shared stories, and the kind of warmth that only a family kitchen can bring.

We have resided in Illinois all of our lives. We have never lived out of state. Our community is a wonderful blend of all types of families and people. We feel very lucky to live in a community that has as much to offer as ours. We love our neighbors and we love seeing so many new families move into our neighborhood.

Our house is 2 stories with an unfinished basement. There are two bedrooms upstairs, two bedrooms on the first floor, and one bathroom. Our favorite room is the living rooms. There is park with a new playground, baseball field, ponds, a big sledding hill all within a very short walk from our house. The fire station and police station are right next to the parks as well. While it is close to a lot of shopping centers (Costco, Tony's, Kohls, Best Buy, Malls), it is a quiet area and there is not a lot of traffic. We have close access to the trains to go downtown Chicago as well.
