William & Amy
We are very excited you are taking the time to look at our profile and considering us as adoptive parents for your child. We are a very loving couple with strong family morals and have been waiting for you to find us. Our home is filled with love, laughter, and happiness. We are confident that after reviewing our profile you will want to get to know us! We are ready to complete our family with your blessing.
Why We Chose Adoption
Since we first met back in 2005, we knew we were going to start our family together. Will always spoke of adopting, however, we planned on having our own children first. The military played a huge role in our family, we spent a significant amount of time separated from each other with serving this great nation. Unfortunately, when we were finally able to be stationed together geographically we had trouble becoming pregnant.
After several doctor appointments, fertility treatments and patience our doctor told us we would not be able to have children of our own. We were devastated, we wanted nothing more than to be parents. That was the worst feeling in the world but we weren’t going to give-up. God had a different plan for us. We know that there are children in this world who need loving families and we want to offer that to another child who needs us like we need them. Some people wish to be famous, rich, or the CEO of a multi-million dollar company. We want a family with children in our lives, that is our dream. Ever since that day we found out we started preparing and we are extremely excited that the journey as begun with our son Jaxon. We would like nothing more than for him to have a sibling to grow up with and experience all the joys life has to offer!
Our lifestyle is very laid back and down-to-earth. We are very casual and allow each other to be who we truly are. We have a family motto, "work hard and play harder!" We enjoy a simple life in North Carolina and that is exactly the way we planned it. We work really hard during the week to accomplish all of things that need to be done and when the weekend finally rolls around, we hit it harder! Family is our number one priority and our lifestyle reflects that principal. Our world consists of back yard barbecues, game nights, family outings, vacations, and spending time with one another. This is what our family is about and will continue to be about for generations to come but most of all we love to have fun!
Our pets are a very big part of our life. We have two adorable dogs a puggle (pug/beagle) and a pug, we love them just as if they are family. We could not imagine a day without them. We take them on walks, trips to the park and car rides(which they love). They are fun loving, enjoy playing ball, frisbee, and love to bark at the birds in the backyard. One of our favorite pastimes is watching them play ball with our son, niece, and nephews.
The day we brought home Jaxon our dogs opened their hearts to him. You can see how they love being with Jaxon, they follow him around the house and watch his every move. Jaxon truly loves our dogs! He lights up and smiles from ear to ear when he sees them and talks to them all the time. He loves to run around the backyard, playing catch, and snuggling on the couch. The three of them are like peas in a pod and love spending time together.
Our House and Neighborhood
After visiting North Carolina, we knew this was the place to start our family and it’s perfect! Our children will be raised in a 3 bedroom 2 ½ bathroom house in a private community with family three blocks away. The location is family orientated and very safe. Our community has a lot of amenities such as a pool, playgrounds, baseball diamonds, soccer fields, basketball, tennis and volleyball courts, a roller rink, bowling alley, and a disc golf course. The local parks have trails, ride along trains, paddle boats, and fitness stations. Our street has a wide range of children from 1-14 years old. There are children playing outside on any given day riding their bikes, drawing with chalk in the driveways, sitting on lawn giggling and having fun.
Once a year our community holds annual Easter Egg hunts, 4th of July and St. Patrick’s day parades, Trunk-or-Treat Events, and Christmas tree lighting ceremonies. We also live five minutes from the NASCAR Motor Speedway where events going on throughout the year. One of our new family traditions is doing 5K run/walk races as a family. Being an active family is a given no matter if it’s going to the park, walking on the trails, running 5K’s or playing kickball in the backyard, we are always doing something.
Our Extended Families
Family is the most important part of our lives. Both of us come from close-knit families and have continued to make that our number one priority. Our family is together 3-5 times a week, including holidays, birthdays, special occasions and family vacations. We live three blocks away from Amy’s sister and brother-in-law who have four wonderful children. We have been truly blessed by having them in our daily lives. They are all very anxious to have a new addition to the family!
Will’s mother and father live in Kentucky and visit often. He has two brothers, one in Kentucky and another in Florida. Amy’s parents are smiling down on us from Heaven. Her brother and sister-in-law live in New Jersey and never miss family functions. Our family enjoys backyard BBQs, bon fires, roasting marshmallows, swimming, vacations, going to the zoo, bike rides, going to the beach, amusement parks, movies, game nights, sporting events, football Sundays, going to church and sleep overs. We pretty much do everything together!
From Us to You
We are very grateful that you are taking the time to get to know us. We know this has been a very difficult decision for you and want you to be confident in us as parents. We will gladly share anything you would like to know about us and we look forward to learning more about you.
We met each other in 2004 while on active duty in the United States Navy. We started as shipmates and ended up falling in love with one another. We have been married for seven years and been together for twelve. Shortly after we were married we started trying to begin our family. We had unfortunate luck and within a year we were stationed across the world from each other. When we finally lived under the same roof again we continued to try and eventually learned that we would probably never conceive our own child. We were devastated. From that moment we started talking about adoption. However, the military continued to complicate things geographically for us so we started preparing for the future. William got out of the U.S. Navy in 2011 and Amy finally retired in the end of 2014. Everything we have done since then has been for our adopted son Jaxon and your child.
Your child will grow up in a very safe, comfortable, and loving home. Amy is a stay-at-home mother and will be there for your child around the clock just like our son. William has a very good job with excellent benefits and a flexible schedule. We promise to provide your child with everything he or she may need, love them unconditionally, and share your story of love. We will send photos and share your child’s journey through life. We plan to adopt more children in the future so your child will grow up with siblings who will share similar stories of adoption. They will have four cousins who live three blocks away and will be a part of their daily lives. Our family is just as excited as we are and continue to wait for the new addition!
Our son Jaxon loves being with his four cousins, he absolutely enjoys the madness! His daily interactions with them have really helped him blossom. He loves to play ball, swim in the pool, chase the dogs, climb on the playground, and just about any other type of group activity. He is completely comfortable around other children and would absolutely love having a sibling to interact with all the time. He may not be able to say it but having a little brother or sister is definitely something he will absolutely love!
Our family is very tight knit and is the only thing that truly matters to us. We have learned through our experiences in life that most people strive for material items that cannot be taken with you in the end. The only thing that you can take with you to the next stop is love and memories. We have no ambition to pursue positions of social status, politics, or greed. Completing our family is our one and only dream! We tell you this because we believe that it is important for you to know what our priorities and motives are, so that you may know that your child will always be number one.p>Our hearts go out to you, one thing we know about you is that you are very loving and unselfish. Adoption is the gift of life and we are extremely touched that you are considering us as prospective parents. There is not a day that goes by we can’t wait for your child to be in our lives. We would love to be a part of your child’s journey through life and would be honored to welcome your child into our loving family.
With love and admiration,
William & Amy
