Education We Will Provide

You're a Wizard Harry

As teachers, education plays a very important part in our lives. We both value education in the classroom and at home. Greg is an associate professor and Megan is a first-grade teacher in one of the top school districts in the state. Her district also allows teachers to bring their children to the district. This benefit will allow us to provide your child a great education and a unique experience where we will be able to be fully involved in their schooling.

Additionally, we both know the importance of starting education during the early years to build their love of literacy. Bedtime stories is one of the things we are looking forward to the most. We also know a lot of learning happens outside the classroom and we are committed to taking advantage of every opportunity to teach those lessons.

The greatest benefit of our careers is the ability to have summers and holidays off of work. We can’t wait to carry on all of our traditions with your child during the holidays and taking family vacations every summer.

Our Leisure Time

Homerun Kick!

Living in the suburbs in a major city allows us to have a pretty active lifestyle, whether it be cheering on our favorite hockey team, the St. Louis Blues, going to see musicals, visiting museums in Forest Park, or finding new places to walk the dogs.

We are blessed to live in an area that experiences all four seasons. Fall is definitely our favorite. We enjoy apple picking and going to the pumpkin patch to find that perfect pumpkin. In the winter, you can’t beat an old-fashioned snow ball fight with our nieces and nephews, or ice skating at the outdoor rink and then cozying up by the fire with our pups. Spring brings back the walks in the park with the dogs and BBQs on the patio. During the summer, being that we are teachers and have all summer off, we love to travel, spend time by the pool, eat at new restaurants and hang out with our family and friends.

Helping others is also a very important part of our life. We participate regularly in our church and volunteer whenever the opportunity arises. We are also heavily involved in the fight against cancer. Greg started a foundation in honor of his late wife. Every year we plan and organize a trivia night to raise money that goes toward the foundation to help kids with cancer.

We can’t wait to have a little one in our life to share in our passions and create new memories!

Our Pets

Elphaba, Oshie & Penny

Although we don’t have children at this moment, our life is filled with joy because of our 3 pups. We have 2 Boston Terriers named Elphaba and Oshie, and a spaniel-terrier mix named Penny. We love taking them for walks in the park or long hikes in the woods. When our families come over, the kids love to throw the ball and watch all three of them chase after it. They love to run around in the backyard, chase each other around our bed, and lick up any scraps we leave behind. We are sure that the baby will become the dogs’ best friend with all the food that will be thrown on the floor. But some of our favorite moments with them is just snuggling up with them on the couch.

Our House and Neighborhood

Home Sweet Home

We are blessed to have finished building a house for our expanding family. It has 4 bedrooms and 2 and a half bathrooms. We have a fenced backyard and our three dogs love to run around back there. Our backyard also has a patio and this is one of our favorite places to be. We enjoy sitting outside hanging out with our pups and talking with each other and our neighbors. Many young couples live around us, who also have young kids or are starting to build their family just like us. On cool fall nights, we have a fire pit on our patio and our neighbors come over and hang out. Throughout the year, there are neighborhood gatherings. All the kids play together while the adults hang out and get to know each other better.

One of the best things about our house is all the parks and trails nearby. We love to wake up early and take the dogs on walks or go to the Farmer's Market down the street.

Living in a major city in Missouri, we have many other parks and recreational areas within a 10-minute drive from our house, including a nationally recognized park, zoo, museums, and an outdoor musical theater. We have season tickets to the outdoor musical theater and this is just one of the many things that we look forward to having your child experience with us.

Our Extended Families

Sailing with Megan's Family

Both of us are very close to our families and we are both lucky enough to have ALL of our family live nearby. Megan is one of 5 children, who are all married and have kids of their own. 10 nieces and nephews to be exact! We hang out with her family a lot, whether it be for birthday parties, family dinners, or relaxing and enjoying the outdoors at their family lake house. Megan and her family love to play games. So, when we get together, we can often be seen playing washers, Can Jam, whiffle ball, board games, or one of the kids’ favorites: Pie Face.

Our Big Fat Greek Family

Greg has one brother who is married and has 2 children who live just down the street from us. Greg’s parents immigrated to the United States at a young age so Greg and his brother are first generation Greek-American. When we hang out with Greg’s family, it is the typical fun-loving, loud, traditional Greek Family. Greg’s mom cooks a family dinner on Sundays with traditional Greek food. And even though Megan is not Greek, she is learning the language. We can’t wait to teach your child Greek as well!

Being teachers gives us the advantage of having summers and holidays off. During the summer, we have Family Fun Days every week where we take our nieces and nephews to the pool, zoo, park, and other fun destinations.

All of our family is excited about the adventure we have embarked on and look forward to adding another child to the family.

From Us to You

We want to first thank you for learning more about us and considering us to be adoptive parents. We can’t even begin to imagine the amount of stress, worry, confusion, and fear you must have. Whatever reason you have chosen adoption, we hope that you can find comfort in your decision knowing that couples like us, view your decision as the most selfless decision a person can make. And we will be forever grateful for you.

After dating for almost three years, in 2016 we became a family. Family is very important to both of us and at this point in our lives, we are ready despite all we have been through. We know that God has a plan for us. He brought us together and has given us this incredibly opportunity. We both have always dreamed of having a family of our own. We love spending time together and want to share our life with your child. A life filled with laughter, snuggles with the pups, adventures outdoors, family dinners and unconditional love.

All of our family and friends are so supportive and excited for our journey. Your child will be welcomed with grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins to grow up with. With both of us being so close to our families, we will have the support and guidance necessary to help guide us through parenthood. We know that parenthood is the most challenging, but also the most rewarding gifts and we look forward to that time to come.

If you choose us to be parents we promise to shower your child with love every day. We promise to give them a life you dream of, from beach vacations in the summer, to camp outs in the fall, to dog kisses and hugs from us every day. We promise to help them dream big, to be a caring and compassionate person. We promise to provide them with the best education and life lessons from us. We promise to make them smile every day. Their happiness will be the center of our lives.

If you choose us, we plan on telling your child about you from the very beginning. We want them to know who you are and not be afraid to ask questions. Their adoption story will be something unique and special. And you are someone to be proud of. We promise to keep in touch through emails, phone calls and letters with pictures. You will always be part of our lives.

Thank you for considering us and we wish you serenity, peace, and comfort in this difficult decision.
