Dave & Anne

We are truly honored you are taking the time to review our profile! After 6 years of trying to conceive, we started our adoption journey. It is our dream to become parents and devote our lives to a child. Having much experience with adoption in both of our families, we are excited and ready for the next chapter in our lives where we will give a life full of unconditional love, support, and opportunities to a child.

Adoption in Our Lives

Our Wedding With Dave's Mother's Birthmother

Our past experience with adoption is extensive. Dave's mother was adopted at birth and after her adoptive parents passed away, she was found by her birth mother in a joyful reunion which has since resulted in a very close relationship. So close, that Dave's mother moved to live near her. Anne's sister and her husband adopted two sons from Vietnam and China. Through these two adoptions, our family has been enriched by the tenderness the boys have brought to our family. Anne's father was known for stating "I have 21 grandchildren. Two were adopted. I forget which ones." That perfectly sums up the love, acceptance, and closeness of our family. Anne can recall once when another 9-year-old cousin learned that the boys were adopted. This cousin was in disbelief. That melted Anne's heart because the visual differences of their Asian heritage was never noticed by their cousins. They were family and that is all that mattered. Also, two of our dear friends adopted two siblings from a foster-to-adopt program. They have been another reminder to us that love makes a family. Through all these experiences, we have witnessed the power of devotion that has inspired us to follow our hearts toward adoption.

Favorite Vacation Spot

With Family at the Shore

One of our favorite family traditions is our annual week vacation at the New Jersey shore. This vacation includes our extended family — parents, brothers, sisters, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and their various friends. It is a full week of fun! We rent several homes near each other and have so many great pastimes we share together. We love to go boogie boarding, build sand castles, collect seashells, fly kites, work on crossword puzzles, jump in the waves, and play paddleball or football. After a long day at the beach we share a dinner together which varies from pizza to Chinese food, burgers or tacos as a different house hosts the meal. One highlight of the week is receiving the tie dye shirts Anne's sister makes for everyone (even the babies!) — each year different colors and theme. After we get our shirts we play our annual boys vs. girls game of basketball. No evening would be complete without our nightly walk to get an ice cream cone — everyone's favorite part! Other beloved traditions of the week include a family golf tournament, playing at the huge playground across the street, riding bikes, playing games like spoons or cards, going out for breakfast, and mini-golf. It is a vacation all the siblings and cousins look forward to because spending a week together is a very special tradition we cherish. We are excited to have our child experience moments like these with their family that they can treasure and enjoy!

Our Family Dream

Halloween Camping Fun With Friends

We both have amazing role models of unconditional love in our families and we hope to be just as loving and giving as our parents were for us. We want to expose our child to all kinds of experiences to help them grow, be challenged, develop empathy for others, and have gratitude for each and every day. We look forward to sharing our love of music, travel, nature, vacations with extended family, volunteering, and learning. Ultimately, our dream for our family is to have a home full of happiness and togetherness, growing in love as we make new memories. Our dreams and hopes are to nurture and teach all that we know, be the rock that they can always depend upon, and support them with all our hearts no matter what road they choose as they grow into adulthood.

Our House and Neighborhood

Autumn at Our Home

Our home in Pennsylvania is a two-story colonial, has three bedrooms, three baths, a finished basement, fenced-in yard and a deck. We live in an outstanding suburban area near a large city that has the best to offer in medical care, historical settings, and strong cultural heritage.

Our town is a close-knit and safe community, full of young families with parents involved in volunteering, youth sports and an award-winning school system, to make it a wonderful place to raise a family. A block from our home is one of 24 parks that has a playground, basketball courts, tennis courts, sledding hill, and library. Every year there is a "Family Day Festival" there where there are pony rides, face painting, live music, zip-lining, bounce houses, and crafts. There are also the St. Patrick's Day and July 4th parades, outdoor movies in the park, outdoor restaurant dining, and block parties.

We are a short fun drive to the beach and close to the mountains and several other major cities. The grade school is only one block away as are our police and fire departments and, we are also only one mile from local hospital, golf course, swim club, and ice skating rink. We live within blocks of multiple close friends, also with young children, and so we have a built-in network of support and fun!

Our Extended Families

Anne With Her Mother & Sisters

We are blessed to have remarkable parents and phenomenal families. Anne's mother is a role model of wisdom, unconditional love, and faithfulness and Anne's dear father passed away in 2016. Anne is the youngest of 8 children and has 23 nieces and nephews so family time is always lively and fun. Whether it's lazy afternoons at the fishing club pond, playing sports, board games, cooking, or beach time, we have a ball! Laughter is always in the air as siblings re-tell stories from growing up or make new memories playing charades. The cousins look forward to family traditions and are growing up to be great friends to one another. Dave is from a much smaller immediate family and having experienced the death of his only sibling and father at a young age, he is very close to his mother and grandmothers. Dave's mother is nurturing and tender, full of adventure, and lives life to its fullest. Dave's step-father is kind, honorable and hard-working and we love his cooking and sense of humor. We were both raised to cherish family, care for others, and live selflessly. Our families are thrilled to welcome a child into our family. We are also part of a tried-and-true group of 20+ friends. We go camping and to the beach, celebrate milestones, help with raising of children, and are always there for one another. Your child will be accepted with love and respect from day one!

From Us to You

Thank you for choosing to read about us! Words cannot adequately describe how we feel right now as we are humbly presenting ourselves to you for consideration to adopt your baby. We can only imagine how you are feeling as you think about this decision.

Our story together began 9 years ago when we met and then were married exactly two years later. We wanted to start a family right away but we were not capable of conceiving. Because both of our families have had wonderful adoption experiences, we knew it could also be the right path for us. Though these years have been difficult, we know now that they have helped us grow immensely as a couple. We have learned so much about ourselves and about the type of parents we want to be. We are now full of anticipation and excitement as we anxiously await being chosen as the adoptive parents to a child that we will have the privilege of loving with all our hearts.

We know that being a parent will be the most important thing we will ever do. We love to think about all the special memories ahead of us?"like taking our child to the zoo, teaching them how to fish, or watching them participate in sports or plays in school. Most importantly, we look forward to the many small moments together?" holding them close as we say goodnight, listening to their stories about their day in school, helping them with everyday challenges, and being present for them. We will encourage our child to explore their creativity and discover their passions. We are eager to help make their dreams come true!

We also feel strongly about teaching our child to care for others. Together we would do our best to be positive role models in believing in the goodness of others, being a good listener, and giving more than we take in life. Volunteering is important to us and would love to share that experience. We want to inspire, encourage, and support our child to grow into a good person that will have a positive impact on their world.

Anne is warm and nurturing whether she is volunteering with the elderly and veterans, making memories with the nieces and nephews in the family, or being present for a friend in need. She has a strong moral character and makes family her first priority. Her kind heart and positive attitude make people happy and at ease to be around her. She is an empathetic listener and always has fun exploring and learning. Dave is kind and gentle. He is a provider and protector. His strong curiosity about the world, patience, and encouraging nature would be great attributes to share with a child. Those who know Dave value his strong work ethic, integrity and character.

We understand there must be immense challenges you are facing, and the desire you would have to know your child is cared for and loved. We will gladly share updates and photos of your child's growth and progress, as well as stories of their milestones and adventures, to keep you informed and provide you the peace of mind you need. We also take very seriously the responsibility of ensuring the child we adopt knows from the beginning that they were a loving gift from their birth mother that wanted them to be raised with all the unconditional love, support, and opportunities possible.

We want more than anything to share our home, lives, and heart with a child. We are sensitive to this being a difficult and emotional time in your life. We would be honored to be chosen as the adoptive parents and it would be our life's mission to provide a safe and stable home, an excellent education, and a life full of unconditional love, opportunities, emotional and financial support. We thank you again for your time and consideration! May God bless you always!
