What It Means to Become Parents

At Universal Studios in Orlando

Our biggest dream is to become parents and have a family of our own to love and cherish. For years we have longed to hear the precious sounds of cooing, innocent childhood laughter and enjoy the cute missteps and antics of a child to call our own. Feeling their gentle breath on our shoulder as we rock them to sleep. Experiencing the joy and wonder through their eyes as they learn their alphabets or seeing rare animals for the first time at the zoo.

We long to teach our child, inspire them and nurture them with love, trust, devotion and faith. We know that there will be challenging times along the way, but our love is forever. We can't wait to take videos of school musicals, concerts, birthday parties. We want to share those things we learned growing up and teach them. When we sat down and talked about what it would mean to us, we imagined celebrating the child's joys, being there to comfort them in their heartaches and cheering them on as they strive toward their goals.

We want what is best for our child, which doesn't always mean to give them everything they want, they won't be spoiled. But what we will give them is more valuable: love, trust, respect, honor, self-worth and knowledge. These are the things that will make them a success for the rest of their life in everything they do. We are going to be amazing parents to an amazing child.

Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other

Exploring a Famous Southern Plantation

Aeron About Bob: Bob is one in a million (maybe even a zillion guys). He is the clean-cut all-American guy next door who loves and protects his family deeply, works hard during the week and can be found in front of the BBQ grill on the weekends cooking steaks, mowing the lawn, washing his truck, taking his wife for a cruise in his classic muscle car, downhill skiing in the nearby mountains or playing a round of golf with his good friends. He is the first guy to offer his friends help if they need it. Bob is one of the most trustworthy, caring, loving, funny and dependable man. He puts his family and others first. He is a fierce friend, loving father to his dogs and top-notch golfer. He has the kindest smile, loves to cook and has the most caring heart.

Bob About Aeron: Aeron is a woman who has a heart of gold. She is a person who loves life to the fullest. She has this personality that is easy to see. Always giving everything she has. She has many talents: paintings, cake decorator, crafts, skiing (downhill and water), sports, and volunteering as a firefighter and EMT. Aeron would make a great mother. Not only would she love and pour her heart out, but would teach and show all her life's gifts that have been taught to her by her father, mother and relatives. She will always do her best to give a child love, knowledge, dreams and spiritual guidance.

What Made Us Who We Are Today

Bob's family is originally from Modesto, California, but moved to Wisconsin when he was 13. Aeron was born in Wisconsin. Both of us grew up in the typical Mid-Western families and lifestyle surrounded by cornfields, farms, factories and love. There were small town festivals, tractor pulls, corn and wheat fields as far as the eye could see, church services and various parades.

Bob grew up on the family farm and went to Catholic school until he started Junior High, then went into public school and played golf on the school team. After high school Bob stayed on the family farm and helped to take care of his nieces and nephews when he wasn't working on his truck or doing farm chores. Bob was a volunteer firefighter while we lived in Wisconsin. He also furthered his education and is now a welder/fabricator, which he loves to do.

Aeron grew up surrounded by a forest, climbing trees, hiking and downhill skiing. She went to a small public school where she was active in sports and various clubs. Aeron went to college for Mass Communications and became a reporter and editor. Aeron was a volunteer firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) while living in Wisconsin. She later worked in Corporate Quality Assurance for an international company before pursuing her career as a novelist/homemaker and hopeful future mother.

Our Extended Families

Aeron's Family on a Recent Trip to the Mountains

Both of our families are diverse and include adopted family members.

Bob has 2 brothers and 3 sisters and 15 nieces and nephews. Bob's father is deceased, his mother recently deceased. Before she passed we told her of our plans to adopt and she was thrilled, giving us her blessing. Bob's family lives throughout the United States including Alaska. He is the godfather to four nieces, nephews and family friends.

Bob loves to play with his nieces and nephews, give them piggyback rides and even helped to teach some of the toddlers to walk. He was always to one to dress up as Santa Claus on Christmas to hand out presents.

Aeron With One of Our Godchildren

Aeron has 2 older brothers and 1 younger sister on her side of the family and 2 nieces and 3 nephews. Her father passed away when Aeron was 9, and her mom remarried a wonderful man with two daughters of his own. Aeron has several aunts, uncles and close cousins who she considers just like siblings and are eager to give her baby advice.

Aeron considers her mom to be her biggest hero. Her mom was a volunteer firefighter/first responder. She inspired Aeron to help others and think of them first. Aeron's family loves camping, fishing, hiking, family reunions, holidays and helping each other cook or doing home renovations.

Our House and Neighborhood

Our Home

We live in North Carolina in an extremely family friendly city, close to speedways, professional sport venues and top notch colleges. There are spring, holiday, summer and fall festivals all within 20 miles of our house. We live in 4,500 sq. ft. house tucked in a 35-acre woods but the mall, shopping, and airport is only a 15 minute drive away. Our house is only 12-years-old, 5 bedroom, 3.5 bath, 2 garages, huge chef kitchen, theater room, 2 acres of lawn and deer and turkeys walk through lawn as we have our morning coffee.

There are a variety of charter schools, public schools and private Catholic school nearby. 6 area parks, more than 5 local museums and the Blue Ridge mountains area a quick drive away. There is a new 120 acre park being built next to our house in next 3-5 years. Our neighborhood is great and secluded from the big city atmosphere. There are frequent festivals, church gatherings and play dates with children visiting their friend's houses to play dress up or the occasional huge birthday party gathering.

There is also a NFL Play 60 park within 10 minutes that the neighborhood children and adults love to visit as well. We love going to our local parks and amusement parks as well as the many historical sites.

From Us to You

We are Robert "Bob" and Aeron and we are so excited to get the chance to introduce ourselves to you. Our biggest dream is to become parents and have a family of our own to love and cherish. Please know that your child will be surrounded by love, trust, fun, understanding, safety and opportunity. Our friends and extended families can't wait to welcome our son or daughter into our lives with love and caring. If you decide to select us we will spend the rest of our lives loving and nurturing him or her in an incredible home and family always honoring the courageous choice you have made.

We have been married since 2002 and have tried various ways to conceive for 15 years without success thus we have no children (except our fur babies). We pray that you decide to bless us with the gift of life in our home and our lives. Parenthood has been the one part of our lives that has been vacant, despite testing, procedures, new advances and thousands of prayers from us as well as our friends and family and church.

Our support network includes our family doctor and their top-notch pediatricians located less than 5 miles from our home, our friends and neighbors who all have children of their own and can't wait to meet our bundle of joy as well as our families all with their own children. We already have offers to babysit and plans for playdates and trips to amusement parks and festivals together. We live in a home built in 2005, and our child(ren) would have their choice of 3 bedrooms each with their own bath, a huge park next door and woods surrounding the house to play in, 4 fuzzy sweet Labradors to snuggle with, a mommy and daddy who will love them until the end of time, top-notch schools, and extended family and friends who would give their lives for them. Their cousins will also be within a few years in age. Our extended families and friends are already giving us advice and recommending schools and picking out baby gifts in the hopes you will choose and trust in us to be parents.

We pray each and every day for this blessing from you and long to hear a baby giggle grace the walls of our home and hope you find us to be the ideal family to raise a child with love, tenderness and a bright future where they won't have to struggle for anything ... knowing we will give them whatever future they decide and support them in the paths they take. We are open to whatever communication you are comfortable with, including the possibility of periodic visits, and a kid-friendly monitored social media page with photos and updates. We know that life is a blessing that should be shared with all.

We are just regular people who have worked hard to provide a beautiful home and life. We go on trips, we go to the opera and shows, we fish and ski and play golf and volleyball and love each other deeply. We eat our supper together at the table and pray over each meal.

You are a courageous and amazing person to consider this choice and you have all our respect and prayers while you make this decision.

Thank you for considering sharing your gift of life with us and we anxiously await your decision and look forward to bringing joy and happiness to this precious child in our home and family.

Love,

Bob & Aeron
