Andy & Virginia

We are a very optimistic, fun-loving and caring couple who love children and love our family. We work hard every day to make our home a place of love, peace and joy. We are so excited at the possibility of welcoming a beautiful child into our family because family is so important to us. Thank you so much for considering us to parent your beautiful baby.

Why We Chose Adoption

Our Family

When we were first married, we were told by a medical professional that we would be unable to have any children at all. We consider ourselves extremely lucky and blessed to have the two children we do.

After some extremely difficult pregnancies, and frightening medical complications, we were advised not to have any more biological children. Virginia has always felt drawn to adoption, and has talked about adopting since she was very young. Together we feel that our family is incomplete. We feel like God has heard our prayers, and that our family will be blessed with another beautiful child through adoption. We feel like God has led us to this place in time for a specific purpose, and a specific child. We can't wait to open our hearts and home for another beautiful child of God.

Our two children are so excited at the prospect of having another sibling. Both of them talk about reading the child bedtime stories and singing lullabies. We even talk about where the baby's carseat will be in our vehicle. We discuss everyday life with our kids as if the baby is already a part of our family, because we feel as if the time is getting close.

Our Leisure Time

Enjoying the View on a Hike

Our family is very close-knit. We love each other, and love spending time together. We love to spend time outdoors together. We enjoy camping, hiking, mountain biking. We enjoy traveling as well, and love to go to new places and see new things. We also have fun at home together doing things like playing games, baking, playing with our dog Brownie, playing music, or watching a good movie.

We are actively involved in our community. We get a strong sense of self-worth and accomplishment when serving others. We volunteer quite frequently with the youth of our church, and enjoy the sense of enriching others' lives as well as our own. We also hope and pray that our example will be a guiding light for our children to follow someday.

Virginia is a stay-at-home mom to our two children, and enjoys photography on the side. She has a creative mind and loves capturing precious moments in peoples' lives and preserving them. She is also musical. She plays the piano, and loves to sing.

Andrew works hard and plays hard. When he's at home, he enjoys playing with the kids, playing his guitar and our piano as well. He loves athletics, and is frequently involved in local city leagues.

Atley & Stayven

Atley & Stayven

Atley is 9, full of laughter, fun and happiness. She is a joy to be around, and takes being a big sister pretty seriously. She's always striving to set a good example for her younger brother and is so excited at becoming a big sister for a second time! She has a really big heart, and loves all animals and children younger than her. She plays the piano, loves to sing and dance. She giggles a lot and is always happy. She's extremely helpful and loves feeling needed and appreciated.

Stayven is full of adventure. He is a busy little guy with a vigor for life. He loves daily routine, is a very happy child, and looks forward to each new day. He is an early riser, and keeps mom and dad on our toes. He has a great sense of humor and always keeps us laughing. He also has some special needs, and he has a special service dog who helps him. His dog's name is Brownie, he's a chocolate Labrador, and is an absolute blessing in our family. He sleeps with our son each night on his bed, and is very obedient and sweet. Brownie is 3 years old, and we consider him an important part of our family unit.

We love our children with all of our hearts, and absolutely cannot wait to add another little one to our family.

Our House and Neighborhood

Home Sweet Home

We live in a beautiful home on a quiet cul-de-sac in Texas. Our neighborhood is full of young families, and young children live all around the cul-de-sac making it the perfect place to ride bikes safely with friends and for neighborhood BBQ's and social get-togethers.

The elementary school is only four blocks away from our home, so it is enjoyable to walk the children to school each morning. We also have a park about two blocks away, and a community swimming pool as well. Our neighborhood is quiet, clean, safe, and people are very kind.

It is pretty warm year-round here, and we get to take walks in our neighborhood even during the winter without worrying about ice or bundling up too much!

Our home is 4,000 square feet and one level. Our favorite thing about the home is that it's very open-concept, and the kitchen is truly the heart of the home, allowing us to see into the other main areas in the house. There are two large living areas as well, and a toy room especially for the kiddos with glass French doors so we can still see what they're doing, even if they want their privacy. Our backyard is fenced, and we can't wait to plant a garden this year.

Our Extended Families

Our Extended Family

Both of us come from big families, and we both grew up in small town rural life. Our families are a large part of who we are; however, we are very independent and have lived away from all of them our entire married life. This has been wonderful for our marriage, and has helped our bond as husband and wife, and also as parents, and made us extremely strong and loyal to one another.

We try to visit our extended families at least twice a year, and they come to see us about twice a year also. We look so forward to their visits, and enjoy them so much while they're here. We focus on quality time more-so than quantity. We eat yummy foods when we're together and go to fun, new and exciting places.

When we go visit our parents' houses, we are met with love and joy in both homes. Both of us come from very religious backgrounds, with the foundation being that of love and acceptance of everyone. We both have very sweet and hard-working mothers who are excellent cooks and enjoy spoiling their grandchildren. We have very hard-working and wise fathers who would do anything for us. Our siblings all have children of their own as well, and we love all of the chaos and laughter that we all bring when we're together. We enjoy playing games outside together, going for walks, and riding 4-wheelers in the hills and mountains near our parents' homes.

From Us to You

Our hearts are so full of admiration, love and respect as we think about you. We don't know who you are or your circumstance yet, but to consider adoption deserves the utmost respect and reverence. You are brave and strong, and unselfish in considering what is best for your baby.

We can't fathom the difficult decision of trying to find a couple, who you like enough and who will love your baby unconditionally his/her whole life through, and support their every dream and ambition regardless of what those are. Let us tell you a little about us as a couple, so that you can better understand us...

We have been married 13 years, and have been a couple for 15 years. We met pretty young, and surprised even ourselves that we made such an awesome choice while we were so young. We've experienced a lot of life together, both the good and the bad, the beautiful and the ugly. But through it all, have remained strong and fiercely devoted to one another. We have searched for rays of sunshine on the cloudiest days, and ultimately found it in each other and our beautiful children. We rely on each other and trust each other. We laugh together regardless of the circumstance. We have learned that while life never quite turns out how anyone expects it will, there can be happiness found in each new day, and humor and laughter through it all. Laughter truly has been the best medicine.

We are a religious family, and have a strong sense of our own identities of self and as God's individual children, and long to provide the kind of love and warm home that we were both lucky enough to have from babies to adulthood. We currently have two children. They are both beautiful and happy little people who love life. They are 6 and 9, and are so ecstatic at the possibility of having another sibling, and ask all the time when their little brother or sister will be here. Every night, our 6-year old-son talks about the baby and "assigns" duties to each member of the family for when the sweet baby joins us. According to him, daddy is fully in charge of diapers. He has a really great sense of humor and loves to tease. He also has a super soft side to him and can't wait to help care for his younger sibling, and to protect him/her. His older sister is a beautiful, smart and empathetic little person. We are constantly amazed at her level of nurturing love and empathy she provides to everyone around her.

As we go forward in life, we can make a promise to you as parents if you choose to explore us further. We can absolutely promise to care deeply about and love your child from the minute we hold them. We promise to always look out for their best interest, to make sure they are fed, loved, kept warm and safe. We promise to play with them and let them be themselves. We promise to provide you with updates on how they are doing, and what they love in life. We promise to teach them all the good things in life, and how to cope with and avoid the bad. And no matter what, you have our promise that we will love them unconditionally and no matter what.

We are so excited at the thought of adding another sweet child to our family.
