Jordan & Alyssa
We are honored to expand our family through adoption. When we discovered our infertility, we were uncertain if we would ever experience parenthood. Through adoption we have new hope to create the family we have always dreamed of. We are thrilled to have you as part of it. Welcome to our beginning.
Addressing Cultural Diversity
We are thrilled to welcome a child of any race into our family. We, along with our family will embrace and love this child. We have extended family members who have interracial families of their own, and we are excited to share this experience with them. Our family and friends are open minded and accepting of individuals of all backgrounds, races, and ethnicities. We live in a very diverse community, and are excited to be engaged, as a family, in the many different cultural festivals, groups, museums and experiences our community has to offer. As future parents, we believe it is our responsibility to celebrate the beauty of cultural diversity in our family. We are excited to learn about our child’s heritage and foster their growth as an individual. We want our child to be proud of the differences and similarities they share with others.
Why We Chose Adoption
When we decided we were ready to expand our family, we expected it to be simple. Both of our families had been blessed with children, we figured we had nothing to worry about. Turns out, we were a little naïve. Conceiving a child is simple for some, but so very difficult for others. As our infertility struggles continued, it began to impact us. Words hurt. Each question about why we did not have kids, or when we were going to have kids hurt a little more than the last. It suddenly seemed like we were in a world by ourselves. No one understood how we felt. We struggled together, but never loved and appreciated each other more. This was our journey. We were so lucky to have each other.
Due to our beliefs, we decided that standard fertility treatments were not right for our family. We began to research adoption. At that moment we knew this was the path for us. We respect the courage and bravery it takes for a mother to choose adoption for her child. What an incredibly beautiful opportunity we have to expand our family through adoption. We are very excited and look forward to becoming parents.
Leisure Time

We enjoy spending our free time together. We love to be outdoors and experience the many things our community has to offer. Our Saturday mornings are spent at the farmers market shopping for local produce, flowers, and a good cup of coffee. We are very physically active and enjoy taking walks along the scenic Mississippi river. We are avid sports fans and are very involved with the University of Iowa. We spend our Saturdays in the fall rooting on The University of Iowa Hawkeye football team in Kinnick Stadium. Whether we are out and about, or relaxing on the couch, we truly cherish the time we spend together. We cannot wait to grow as a family and share these experiences with our child.

Our Extended Families
Family is everything to us. We were both blessed with incredible families. Our families value presence and time spent together, rather than lavish gifts and money. Love is unconditional and support is plentiful. Jordan’s parents live minutes away, and we have a tradition of eating Sunday dinners at their home. Alyssa’s family lives just two short hours away. We enjoy spending weekends with them attending festivals and family events. Our parents have been tremendous role models of love and we are so blessed to have them as grandparents to our child. We both have two younger siblings and we are all very close with one another. Our siblings are thrilled to become aunts and uncles. Often times, both of our extended families will get together at our home for occasions such as Thanksgiving and the Fourth of July. We often receive compliments from others that notice how much fun we have together as a family.
We look forward to raising a child with the help of our parents as well as our siblings. Our families were overjoyed when we shared our plans to adopt. Our parents could not be more excited to be grandparents. We are just as excited for our child to be loved by all of the people that matter most in our lives. We both appreciate time spent with family and the memories we create together.
Our House and Neighborhood

Our home is located in a small town just outside of a large city in Iowa. This allows us to enjoy the benefits of a quiet and safe neighborhood as well as all the amenities of a large city. We live on a dead-end street alongside many families with young children. It is very common to see basketball games, hockey matches, roller blading, squirt gun fights, and endless games of tag as you pass through. We have lived here for several years and have grown close with many of our neighbors. Our neighborhood is known for its extravagant Christmas light displays, intricate Halloween decorations, and block parties for occasions such as Trick Or Treat, Fourth of July, and Memorial Day. We live within four blocks of three different parks as well as a grade school and junior high school.

We live ten miles away from a large city, which is home to nearly 500,000 people. This city and its surrounding suburbs are great communities that welcome individuals of all different backgrounds, ethnicities, and cultures. We enjoy the shops, restaurants, parks, farmers markets, and a wide variety of events and festivals. The area is known for its great school systems. It is a truly great place to raise a family.
From Us to You

Hi! We are Jordan and Alyssa. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us.
This is the most important letter we have ever written, and we have tried our very best to do it justice. We are hopeful that you will find this letter honest and full of love.
We met in graduate school for Physical Therapy. Easy-going, funny guy meets driven, hard-working girl. This relationship was not planned, but none of the great ones are. We were inseparable from the time we started dating.
Jordan is currently a Physical Therapist at a local hospital. He has completed extensive training and is an Orthopedic Certified Specialist. His gentle and fun-loving approach to life makes him a hit with patients of all ages.
Alyssa is a Physical Therapist at a local hospital. She is also an adjunct faculty member for a Physical Therapy Assistant Program at a local community college. She splits her hours between the clinic and the classroom. She enjoys making a difference in the lives of others. These positions are quite flexible. This will allow Alyssa to reduce her working hours so that she is able to be home and care for the needs of our child.
Our relationship is one of our biggest strengths. We are a team, a bond, never to be broken. Life has placed many obstacles in our way, but we have overcome them one at a time. We think our success lies in our mutual love and respect for each other. Alone we are ordinary, but together we are extraordinary. We push each other to be the best versions of ourselves. We are true to our values. We thank God everyday for blessing us with another chance at life. We love to share our lives with each other, family, and close friends. We strive to make a difference in the lives of others. We have been together for six years, and somehow each year is better than the last. Our love continues to grow. We cannot wait to expand our family.
Please know that your baby is already so loved. Our hearts are bursting with unconditional love and excitement. From the time we announced our decision to adopt, the support we have received has been overwhelming. Our family and friends are so anxious to meet this bundle of joy. Your child is already so blessed.
We want you to know, we are here for you as well. You are so very important to our family. We value you beyond words. The selfless, brave, and loving choice that you have made for your baby will never be forgotten. We admire your sacrifice. In our home, you will always be the hero to our happy ending. The relationship you have with your baby will be on your terms. We will provide photographs and letters throughout their childhood. We look forward to developing this relationship with you. You are our family. Your decision will be one of the most important decisions of our lives. You are giving us an opportunity to fulfill our dream to be parents. We will be forever grateful. Thank you for choosing adoption.
