Adrian & Klevis
Thank you so much for opening our profile and we hope you can join us in this journey that we are very excited to be part of. We have worked very hard to create a loving home for each other and are very excited to welcome our first child. We have so much love to give and we thank you for helping us make our life fuller and happier.
How We Met
We met each other years ago when Klevis had just moved to United States from Europe. We had friends in common and they always talk to each of us about each other, but every time we would go out one of us wouldn't, so it took us awhile to meet in person. The first time that happened was at a bar and it was almost midnight. Klevis was leaving because at the time he used to live with his sister and the last train would leave at midnight. When Klevis opened the door to leave, Adrian just walked in and we knew it was us because we had seen pictures. We both smiled at each other and said, "Hi." We call Klevis "Cinderella" because of this, because he had to leave at midnight and he couldn't stay with his "Prince Charming," Adrian. After that we added each other on Facebook and exchanged numbers and would talk to each other for hours every day. We went on a date three weeks later and that was the most beautiful date ever. We couldn't stop talking and smiling and it felt like we knew each other for years.
Our Favorite Vacation Spot
We travel a lot since Klevis works in the airline industry and we have free flying almost everywhere. Our favorite places to go are Italy and Spain. We both love them. The food is amazing and the people are great. Klevis speaks Italian and Spanish and Adrian speaks Spanish, so we can get around very easily. Every time we go there we walk for hours and go into the small towns and small restaurants and enjoy all the local traditional food. We both love the beach and both these countries have some of the most beautiful beaches we have ever been. We can not wait until the three of us can go and do this all more often as a family. We would love to take our little one to our favorite gelato place in Rome which is located next to the Pantheon and it's called "Giolitti". It's the best gelato in the entire world and we both love that place and would love for our little one to get to taste the large variety of flavors the offer. After that we would love to go to the "The Garden of Oranges," which is located near the Vatican City and enjoy the beautiful views of Rome and the Vatican from the top of the hill sitting next to the most beautiful orange trees which always reminds us of "Alice in Wonderland." There is so many beautiful things and place we have seen and would love to show our little one and build more memories all together.
Our Hopes for an Open Adoption
We are very excited about the open adoption process. It is very exciting for us because we know that this way our child will always be surrounded with many people that love him/her and that he/she will always have answers to all the questions that he/she might have. We really hope that there will always be communication and love for one another. We will always be open to any question our child will have in regards to their adoption. We will always speak with a lot of love and respect about everything and everyone involved in the process. We want our child to always know that it is OK to ask questions, and it's OK to want to know more, and that we both will always be there to hold his/her hand and walk this journey all together.
Our House and Neighborhood
Our house is a single home, 3,100 sq. ft.. with two levels. The first floor has a full open concept with a formal living room, formal dining, family room, family dining, kitchen island and a powder room. Second floor has four big bedrooms, a open concept loft for art and creative stuff that Adrian does and will do with the kids. It has two full bathrooms both with bathtubs and standing showers.
The house is located in a very nice suburb, with the best schools that are very close to our house. It has a very big front and back yard. The back yard is fully fenced. There's a huge children's playground a two-minute walk from our house in our community and a big lake/pond where you can go fishing as well. It is a very quiet neighborhood and very peaceful. Very close by there's a lot of farms and cornfields that we can go in the summer and get fresh vegetables and fruits.
Our Extended Families
Both our families are very excited about us adopting. We both only have sisters and all five of them are married with kids, so they are very excited for us to have our first child. Our parents are very excited about their next grandchild and ask us every day how much longer.
Most of our family lives in Illinois and not far from each other. One of Klevis's sister lives back home in Europe, and Adrian's mother lives in New Orleans, but she visits very often and we go to visit her often, as well.
We are all very close to each other and always help each other in everything. Whenever it comes to decorating their homes, they all come to Adrian for advice. He has a very good taste and always knows exactly what everyone needs and likes. When it comes to science for school homework, they all run to Klevis and have him help them since he is very good when it comes to school and science.
We love celebrating almost every holiday since they we both come from very different and diverse backgrounds. Christmas is always celebrated with Adrian's oldest sister and we all get together on Christmas Eve to cook all day and play games. Christmas Day we all have breakfast together. Klevis's family is big in celebrating New Year's Eve. In their tradition, their main dish is turkey and stuffing, so in our home we get to have turkey dinner twice a year and we love that!
The entire family is very involved in the adoption process and everyone has started planning how to help. Klevis's mother has offered to babysit for us endlessly because she loves being around babies. She is a retired kindergarten teacher and she was around babies and children for over 35 years of her career.
From Us to You
Hi, we are Adrian and Klevis and it's very nice to meet you.
We have been together for many years now and we always wanted to have a family with children running around and making our lives complete.
We can't even imagine the emotions you are going through, but we hope we can be part of this process and make it easier for you and assure you that we will be providing a loving, peaceful and caring home for your baby.
We have been together for over 6 years and married for a little over 2 years. Adrian is an amazing person and he would be an amazing father. He is the most passionate and patient person ever. Every time there are children around him, he gets on the ground with them and becomes one of them, and he never gets tired and can play and entertain them for hours. He is the most sincere and genuine person ever. He has so much love and laughter and he never gets tired or upset at anything. He is always very calm and very creative. Everything that surrounds our every day life at home has a touch of his. He is so creative and artistic and is always coming up with amazing creative ideas on how to decorate our home, and make it a safe, peaceful and happy space for all of us.
Klevis is very organized. He is a planner and schedules everything down without anyone else stressing about it. If we have to go on vacation, he has everything planned from beginning to the end. He loves cooking and making our home a warm and safe place for all of us. He is always building something new in the house and always has a new project to make the space more usable. Even when he travels for work, he always thinks of home and is on the search of new things to bring back to our home, groceries is the most common. Klevis is very family oriented. He was raised in a big family, and has always dreamed to have a big family of his own.
We both love traveling and have visited several places around the world. We are very excited to add a child to our family, because we can't wait to travel the world together and show our child the diversity and beauty of the world. We want our child to enjoy new cultures, food and places like we do and be part of this journey that we both have started.
We both find it very rewarding to be able to provide for a child and will love and cherish that child as our own. We have worked very hard and saved a lot for us to make sure that our child will have the right education and everything that is needed. We really want our child to be respectful, loving, caring and have all what is needed.
We would love and want for you to be informed and part of your child's progress and growth, by always proving you with letters, pictures or emails. It is very important that your child grows up knowing their story and background and have all the questions answered. We want your child to know that he/she is very much loved by all of us and there's not such a thing as too much love.
We appreciate you taking the time to learn more about us and we can't wait to learn more about you and be all together in this journey. We are here for you to make this journey easier and we are in this all together.
