Jimmy & Chris
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us. We have always dreamed of starting a family. We both love children and are excited to share our lives. Should you choose adoption, we will provide your child unconditional love, happiness and support.
Our Favorite Vacation Spot
Our favorite vacation spot is Norway. We love the culture, the people and the landscape. During our time in Norway we spent time in Oslo at their markets and many parks. This also included a nice Zoo that we hope to share with our future children.
We were also able to take a train ride through the countryside and see all the beautiful fjords. During this time we spent a couple nights in a fjord. The views were breathtaking.
We were able to hike and spend time visiting with the locals. Beyond the views and the locals, the food in Norway is fresh and unique. Culturally, with Jimmy being part Norwegian, it's nice to know where his ancestors came from. The fjords are unlike anything in the world we have seen and we can't wait to go back. The culture, the landscape and the people, make it an irresistible country to share with our family.
As a family, we plan to take more trips around the world, to visit Norway and the rest of the world, and to experience different cultures and different landscapes. Our dream is to ensure our child is able to experience the love of family and to explore the world.
Our culture is vey important to who we are and we can't wait to share our distinct cultures.
Chris is Puerto Rican and the culture is important to our everyday lives. We both enjoy eating all the tasty foods from the island. Recently when visiting the family, we all joined together to make Pasteles (a Puerto Rican staple).
It was great to experience this as a family. Culturally, family is the cornerstone of the culture, and it's something we both have in common. We also are sure to recognize all the holiday traditions—including Christmas lasting over three months and celebrating Three Wise Men's Day. We also spent New Year's day together staying up late and enjoying traditional Puerto Rican cuisine.
We both embrace these traditions and the many traditions that Jimmy also shares with his family. We are excited to not only continue to build these cultural traditions and elements, but to add more as we add to our family. As a couple, we are ready to continue building new traditions and embracing the cultural diversity of our world and our family.
Our pets are an important part of our lives. They all have their own unique personalities and can't wait to share their home with another sibling. Our two cats, Sophie and Tiana, are about five years old and they roam the house keeping an eye out for their sisters. They spend their nights curled up with us.
Our two dogs, Mia and Liv, are both around two years old and are great cuddle buddies. They also love to go for walks and to the family‑friendly dog parks in the area. Both are very gentle and are always waiting by the door as we arrive home. Mia is a Dalmatian and is small for her breed but super sweet. She is the perfect dog with the energy to play.
We can both imagine her running around and playing gently with her future sibling once they are old enough. Liv can't wait to play either, and she is a gentle giant. She loves to be pet and to snuggle up with everyone. We can't wait to share the joy of our pets with our future child.
Our Extended Families
Jimmy's family mostly lives within an hour of our home. We spend holidays together and enjoy traveling to our grandparents homes. We live within walking distance to Jimmy's middle sister, Jennifer. She and her husband look forward to sharing their time with our growing family. Jimmy's mother and oldest sister take great care of our two dogs when we are traveling and they can't wait to be a part of our growing family.
Jimmy's youngest sister lives a little further away in Minneapolis, but loves spending time with family. Family is an important part of our lives and will always be. Chris's family is very important to us and though they live in South Carolina, we talk daily.
We also travel as often as possible to spend time and make memories together. This includes themed birthday parties that make the birthday person feel extra special.
Our niece has really enjoyed spending time with us, especially when we go to the zoo, parks and museums. She has also taken really well to her new twin cousins. There is plenty of love to go around that everyone can't wait to share with a child.
Our House and Neighborhood
We live in a quiet suburb in a large family‑friendly city in Wisconsin.
We are surrounded by several parks within walking distance of our home. Along with parks, we have museums, theaters and a boys and girls club nearby.
Our community was named one of the best places in the country to raise a child. Our city is also home to some great and diverse schools. There are families all around us and we have friends in our neighborhood just starting families of their own.
We also have several farmers markets that are very kid friendly that run all summer. In addition to all the green and beauty of summer, we have a wonderful view in the winter.
Our home is a three bedroom home with a nice open concept main level with a lofted ceiling surrounded by natural light. This is our favorite room in the home. We have a great backyard the dogs love to play in and a nice finished basement.
From Us to You
We are both excited that you are taking this journey into our lives. We imagine that you are experiencing a wide range of emotions and we admire your courage. If selected, we look forward to meeting and learning more about each other. We would be overjoyed to share all of the love our family has with your child.
Upon meeting in 2013, we always talked about sharing our lives with a child and growing our family. Together with family and friends, we were married in 2015 at a small ceremony outdoors. Over the past 6 years we have continued to grow together, and we have even added four furry friends to our family! As we continued to grow together, we continued to talk about adoption as the best way to start our family. We both strongly feel that there is no one way to build a family and that our future child will have all the blessings and support we can provide.
We have also spent time traveling together and building our careers. This allowed us to continue to deepen our love for one another and cherish every moment. As we moved into our home over a year ago we knew we were ready to continue our journey and expand our family. We are ready to start the journey into parenthood and share our lives. As parents, we plan to continue making memories and sharing all the world has to offer. Our home is in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood with plenty of parks and activities all around. We have great schools in the area and live around many children. Many of our friends and family live within close distance and some of them have small children your child would grow up with. We have a backyard and plenty of room to grow our family inside. Both of our careers are stable, and we have some flexibility at work to spend more time with a child.
As parents, we are excited to share our lives with your child. We are excited to experience those first steps, first words, and all the moments in life. We both encourage education and feel it is the foundation for success in life. We plan to ensure that your child grows up to experience a diverse world surrounded with support and love.
We also look forward to the magic in our child's eyes as we meet Mickey Mouse for the first time. Christmas morning is also another experience we can't wait to share. The walk across the stage at graduation. These moments and many more are the foundation of life and family. We can't wait to share our love and encourage whatever dreams our child has. We will always empower our child to dream and dream big. We can't wait to see what the future holds for all of us.We value family time, and both of our families are ready to love and support our child. Jimmy's sister, Jennifer, and her husband live within a five minute drive and they are really excited to join us on this journey. We are excited to share family meals together and share our days together with a child. Our family in South Carolina also can't wait for us to visit and we look forward to continuing our Skype calls. Family is important to us and the love that it brings is amazing.
We know adoption is deeply personal and we hope to be as honest as possible. This includes being as open and transparent with you. We believe it's important to discuss adoption with a child from an early age. It's important to us that we respect your wishes in whatever level of openness you would like to have. Photos and letters are a great way we plan to share with you this journey. We both wish you well!
