We have an 8-year-old daughter named Addison. While Jill is the mother, Bryan became her stepfather about two years ago. Addison is full of joy and laughter, and is so excited at the thought of becoming a big sister. She has such a caring heart and is constantly giving to others. Addison loves to read, do arts and crafts, and even play sports. When we talk about adoption, Addison always tells us how she will sing to the child, teach the child to count, read, and more. She can't wait to become a big sister and we know she is going to be a fantastic one!

Our path to adoption was not without tribulation. While we have been blessed with Addison, we have tried for the last two years to have a child that was biologically each of ours. We had trouble conceiving, and even went through a miscarriage. At first this was very difficult for us to accept, but one day at church our pastor was speaking about the importance of foster care and adoption. The message spoke to us and we both felt that God was showing that there was a plan for us. We are filled with excitement at the thought of adding to our family and can't wait to shower your child with love.

We are big into sports and fitness and we like to work out together, attend sporting events as a couple and family. We also love to go to the movies, but sometimes we prefer to just stay in and do something fun as a family (arts and crafts, watch a movie, silly dancing). We are both laid back personalities and love to laugh and have a lot of fun.

We love to travel for fun and try new restaurants. Our favorite vacation spot is San Diego, California. We both grew up in Kansas City and love everything about it- the people, the food, having all four seasons, etc., but we LOVE to visit San Diego. We both love the smell of ocean air and mild temperatures. There are lots of fun things to do there and one of our favorite things to do is try new restaurants. We have been to San Diego three times and always enjoy going on a tour or excursion, and trying new things! We especially enjoy taking a boat over to one of their islands and exploring their shops and dining options. We also love to exercise along the beach and enjoy the fresh air!

Our family only feels complete with pets. Jill grew up always having dogs, but Bryan didn't have any because his siblings were allergic. The second that Bryan moved into his own place he rescued a dog, Bruno. Bruno has been with us for several years and brings our family so much joy. We believe that pets bring so much fun and laughter to a family, and can teach us how to love. They are also good for exercise, as we love to take our dog on walks, to the dog park, or just play fetch in the backyard. Any activity that includes our dog is bound to make us all smile. Not to mention, he loves to cuddle!

We recently purchased a new home in a suburb of Kansas City, with plenty of space for the child. Our home is full of energy. From singing and dancing competitions, to arts and crafts, to outdoor sports or backyard barbecues, our home always has something exciting happening!

We also love our community. We live a couple blocks away from multiple parks, playgrounds, pools and walking trails that we like to visit.

Our neighborhood is full of kids who love to make new friends and play outside. Our neighborhood frequently gets together for holiday celebrations and pool parties, and even organizes Easter egg hunts, ice cream socials and cookies with Santa, or any other community event.

The elementary school is right down the street so our neighborhood is filled with young families just like us. Our community truly embraces each family and strives to bring everyone together for the betterment of the community. It's a great community to be a part of and we cannot wait to raise another child here!

Jill is an only child, and Bryan has two older brothers. All of our parents and siblings live close by and are eager to be present in the lives of the child. Jill's mom is retired and loves to spend as much time as she can with her grandchildren. Bryan's mom is a school teacher, and his dad is retired.

Our parents put family first and look for any reason to get the families together. We love to get together as often as our schedules allow, and love to play board games, have movie nights, or just share a meal together. Every time we get together is full of love, and a lot of laughter!

Everyone is so excited and supportive of our adoption plan. Our parents and siblings can't wait to be a part of the child's life and are looking for a new family member to spoil with love and attention.

We have been together for almost five years and married for two. We love our life together but are excited to expand our family to four!

We take advantage of every opportunity to spend time together as a family. We love to go on family vacations, have at-home movie nights or game nights, or even plan festivities with extended family and friends. Our family also loves to cook, or even try new restaurants, while making sure to have fun and laugh in everything we do.

We are anxiously awaiting the opportunity to add another member to our family, and no one is more excited than our daughter, Addison. She is thrilled at the idea of becoming a big sister. We believe that having a big sister can give your child someone to play with, learn from, and look up to. We also believe there is tremendous value in the gift of siblings and an unbreakable bond that lasts a lifetime.

Please know that your child will be welcomed into a stable family that shows unconditional love and support. We believe in raising a child through Christian beliefs, and we value the importance of education, showing respect and compassion for others, and building strong character. Being a blended family with different ethnic backgrounds, we are committed to building our family in a diverse way and celebrating our backgrounds and what makes each of us unique. We will also encourage your child to pursue their interests and are devoted to do everything we can to help them reach their full potential.

Incorporating culture is very important to our family. Being a blended family of different cultural backgrounds, we take time to celebrate the heritages and traditions from both sides. Our extended families are diverse, including family members who are African American, Native American and European. We frequently attend cultural events centered on diversity and inclusion as well.

Our plan is to be open an honest with a child in regards to adoption. We welcome the role that you will play, whatever you decide that to be. We will be happy to share your child's growth through letters, emails and photos if desired. We will constantly remind your child how much you love them and make sure that you will always be reflected positively to them. We are eager and committed to work together to maintain a healthy relationship.
