Jason & Jennifer
Thank you for taking the time to consider us as potential parents for your child. Over the last few years we have looked forward to our family growing and we are ready to welcome, support, nurture and love a child. We hope to continue the blessings of adoption as Jason was adopted as an infant. Together, we look towards the beginning of the next chapter of our lives.
Adoption in Our Lives
Jason was adopted as an infant and has always talked about how grateful he was to be welcomed into a home with open arms and loving hearts. As we travel this journey as adults, we have come to understand that the decisions a birth parent must make are some of the hardest in life. With this new knowledge, we have even more to be thankful for as we reminisce about the love his birth parents had for him and the choices they had to make.
Since very early on in our relationship, we always knew we wanted to be parents. Learning that we were infertile was hard, but we have ended up stronger together. We look forward to the joys of adoption as we have an enormous amount of love to share and we are ready to embark on this, the next chapter in our life. We want to continue to pass on the blessings that were given to Jason, a home full of love, learning and laughter.
Our Leisure Time
As a couple, we love to travel. Growing up as the son of an airline pilot, Jason has been traveling since before his first birthday. We take small day trips during the year, and love to vacation in the summer for weeks at a time. Our trips are both domestic and international and we love spending time together. Some of our favorite things to do are to sight-see historical places and go anywhere where we can enjoy the water: swimming, SCUBA diving, and boating.
Some of our favorite places to go are: Cozumel, Mexico; Washington, D.C.; Hilton Head, South Carolina and anywhere we can enjoy our love of water and golf. We are both avid SCUBA divers and Jason is a great golfer. Jennifer is great at driving the golf cart and providing sage advice.
As sports fans of the University of Georgia, we can be found watching their football and hockey games, either live in person or at home.
We also love to barbecue and hang out in the neighborhood or the backyard. Our next block party is sure to be a blast. With more than twenty-five children ranging in age from a year to college on our street alone, there is never a dull moment. As we look forward to the future, we are excited to introduce our child to the ocean, the sky, and space. From swimming with dolphins to flying in the clouds we can’t wait to share these passions. We look forward to nights spent in the backyard with the telescope out, watching as we see what is possible around us.
What We Look Forward to About Becoming Parents
Jason About Jennifer: When I say that Jennifer will be the best mom ever, I really mean that. We both know that the addition of a child to our family will make our lives richer. Jennifer is really looking forward to being a parent and loves thinking about the things she will do with our child; rocking them to sleep, bath time, enjoying the pool, helping them discover their interests… She can’t wait to nurture and love a child.
Jennifer About Jason:Jason loves children and I have seen this more and more as his niece, his “doodlebug” gets bigger. After a small trip to visit her, he couldn’t stop talking about her and loves to see her and Facetime as often as possible. In the fire service, Jason spends time around children in the community and loves to interact with them as they learn about fire safety, and what to do in an emergency. He loves playing with them and just spreading the joy he has for his job. He can’t wait to spend special time together with a child, finding fun outings and things they can enjoy together.

Our House and Neighborhood

The subdivision that we live in is a family/child oriented one in north Georgia. Our beautiful home has 5 bedrooms, 4 ½ baths and a media/play room. It has an open floor plan on the first floor combining the family room, formal living room, dining room and kitchen, where we spend a lot of time. The backyard is completely fenced in with a level yard which is great for playing with our dog, Addy. We can see a perfect area for a swing set in the future. In the evenings, we generally move up to the media room for work, play and movies. Our three kitty cats love to join us for snuggles. Our pets are incredibly friendly and neighborhood kids often drop by to play with them.

Our large neighborhood includes a park, playground, tennis courts and a community pool at it's center. There is even a kindness group for the kids. A mountain preserve is across the street and is filled with multiple walking trails. One thing that drew us to this subdivision was finding that it was a child friendly area. Children can be seen spending lots of time outside playing and they are always saying hi and being respectful. It is a very secure and safe neighborhood according to local crime reports. There are great schools nearby. We consider our immediate neighbors close friends and we all support one another when needed. We love living here and can't wait to raise our children here.
Our Extended Families
Family is important to us both. Jason’s mother lives close and unfortunately, his father is no longer with us. Jason’s mother is retired and loves spending her time with the animal rescue group she volunteers for. Jason is an only child and makes sure to dedicate time to taking care of his mother too.
Jennifer’s parents are divorced; her father lives in Pennsylvania and her mother in Mexico – although she travels a lot and can often be found at our house. Jennifer has a sister that is married and lives in New Jersey with her husband and daughter.
These family members, along with close friends, will provide us with a great support system when we welcome a new baby into our loving home.
From Us to You
We would like to thank you for taking the time to learn more about us. We cannot imagine how difficult a decision this is for you, and we greatly admire your strength and courage in planning for your baby's future. We hope that this helps you get a small peek into what kind of people we are, our lives, and what our hopes are for our family.
We want you to know that your child will be welcomed into our loving and stable home. We met over twelve years ago and have been married for over nine years. We are incredibly excited for the future. We take advantage of every opportunity we can to be together, both alone and with our families and friends. Our home has become a popular gathering place and we look forward to hosting many more gatherings that will include your child. We also love to get out and enjoy our community. We go bowling, to the movies, golfing, swimming in our neighborhood and more.
Currently, Jason works as the chief of training for a local fire department. After more than twenty years of hectic schedules and working on a firetruck, he now works a more traditional Monday through Friday job and he is home for dinner at night.
Jennifer has been teaching elementary school for over eighteen years. She loves working with students and seeing them reach and surpass their goals. Our jobs give both of us amazing opportunities to interact and influence others in our community.
In our family, there is a love of history and science. With these and our love of travel, we enjoy taking trips that are both fun and educational. As we have learned in our positions teaching others, we know just how valuable these life experiences can be. We look forward to participating in as many of these opportunities as a family as possible. Jason is the history buff. As a child of an airline pilot, he grew up loving travel and seeing the world. Jennifer is more of a science fan and loves going to museums and seeing how the world works. These things we hope to continue with a child.
As a child of adoption, Jason has been keenly aware of the importance for the openness and honesty that it entails. He feels incredibly blessed to be loved so selflessly by his birth mother that she made the decision to place him for adoption. He has known he was adopted from a young age and we will continue with that tradition.
We love to share family stories and welcome the chance to share updates with you on your child's milestones, special occasions, growth and experiences. We will happily share photos and updates in letters with you as your child grows. We will always be open and honest with your child and welcome any information you would like for us to pass on. We will ensure your child knows how much they are loved, by everyone in their life. We will make sure they are aware of how hard of a decision this is for you, to allow us the privilege of sharing your child's life with them.
Words cannot express how ready we are to become parents, and we know that it would not be possible without your love, strength and courage.
With our utmost love and respect,
Jason & Jennifer
