Teddy & Asia
We are a fun, loving, caring and supportive couple that wants to show the world to a child which we will love with all our hearts! Please take the time to review our profile and explore our personalities. It would mean the world to us if we are chosen to provide and to care, to nourish and to mentor, to guide and to love a little baby who will have the world in his/her hands!
What Makes Us Unique

As a family, we are a blend of different cultures, which have created our unique personalities. We are very well-traveled and we have explored different cultures, traditions, and customs. We are true believers that there are no strangers in this world and we are all somehow connected with each other- there is always something to talk about when you meet someone for the first time!
We are both outgoing people who love to socialize and to learn something new every day. We take every opportunity to visit a park, a museum, the theater or a concert and we also like to explore new culinary tastes to expand our menu.
Being bilingual (Teddy) and tri-lingual (Asia) has provided us with the confidence that no matter who we meet, we are able to communicate and explore the world! We want to share this gift with a child; to provide him/her with the confidence to travel the world, to meet as many people as possible, and to become the best version of his/herself!
Our Family Traditions

Being of different cultures, we have incorporated many family traditions and we have combined the best from both worlds!
Christmas is one of our favorite times! We decorate the Christmas tree with old toys/ornaments passed on from our families (which we will multiply with a new ornament each year for the baby!), we listen to Christmas songs and read books close to the fireplace. The night before Christmas, we do not eat meat (this is a Bulgarian tradition related to the fact that Jesus was born poor), and we prepare Bulgarian food with stuffed grape leaves with rice and raisins and we make homemade bread. On Christmas day, we open gifts and we eat American traditional food, and cheese/sausage balls! This has become our own tradition. There is a bonus day of gifts, since the Greek Santa Claus comes the night before the New Year and we open more gifts!
At Easter time, we dye the eggs in many colors and we roast a lamb! All the week before Easter, we watch movies about the life of Jesus and every year we learn something new. This is a time of reflection and spirituality for our family.
What it Means to Become Parents
Being a parent is first and foremost being a protector of a child. A child needs the shelter of someone who will put its well-being above everything else and will provide not only the necessities for survival, but also the education, the guidance and the leisure with the excitement and the fun of exploration!
We both have traveled a lot and we have read a lot, and at this period of our lives we are ready to pass the torch to a child who will take all the experience and all the knowledge we have and will take it to its own level of excellence and success! Our most treasured items in our home are the books, the photos we have taken from our trips and the memorabilia we have from each location (we have a large collection of magnets from each place we have visited). A large map on the wall shows all the locations we have been- we want to travel everywhere and see everything!
It will be so exciting to see this new life flourish into a beautiful personality with limitless possibilities! We are eager to see him/her grow into the person that he/she wants to be!

Our House and Neighborhood

We live in one of the largest cities in Texas, but our home is located in an area with lots of trees, lakes and wildlife.
Our apartment is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom home with a large kitchen/dining/living room area. Our home overlooks a lake with a beautiful fountain and large trees with flowers and birds. There are total of two lakes at the property, which create one large park area.
Every morning we enjoy looking at nature waking up. We love sitting on our balcony and watch the squirrels on the trees grooming and then chasing each other. We love listening to the birds chirping and watch the ducklings learn how to swim. Feeding the ducklings and the squirrels is a fun outdoor activity.
During the evening is when most of the people (especially families with young children) will come out for a walk and we enjoy the laughter and the play of the kids! Running, chasing the ducks and kicking the ball are the most common activities.
We have lived in this location for the past five years and we have seen many children taking their first steps on the grass or on the trail in front of us. Two of our neighbors just had babies and we have wonderful relationships with them; we socialize and play with the children on every occasion we have.
The property also offers many social events, including live music but also outdoor movies for the families with popcorn, and food trucks on Thursdays!
Our Extended Families
We are a diverse couple with many family members living close by but also all around the world. Asia was born in Bulgaria and raised in Greece and Teddy was born in the U.S. and raised in Greece, hence we have family in all three countries, as well as many friends in almost every country on earth!
Asia's mom lives in a small village in Greece with her husband and Asia's brother. They are close to the sea and they fish and sell the fish at an outdoor market. As a tri-ligual, Asia always made friends from every part of the world and is very good keeping in touch for the years to come! She also has a pen pal for the past 25 years. Her mom is so excited to welcome a new baby in the family that she has bought clothes and toys for both boy and a girl in anticipation!
Teddy's family is divided between the U.S. and Greece. His parents live close to a large city, Thessaloniki and they spend many months in the US. He has a large family tree that goes back to French, Irish and Spanish ancestors, some of whom are mentioned in the history books!
From the seashores of Greece, to the mountains of America and all the wonders of the world, we will embrace the child with our love and show him/her that anything is possible!
From Us to You

We have the utmost gratitude and appreciation for your selfless act and abundance of love for the little life that you have created.
Becoming a family for us always meant to raise a child and provide for his/her needs to become the best version of themselves! We are not destined to create a biological child as a couple, but our hearts are full of love, knowledge, and experiences that we want to share with a child.
The adoption journey has been an enlightenment for us, both as individuals and as a family. We are experiencing all emotions at once: uncertainty, fear and joy for the unknown, and love for someone we have not yet met.
We have been together as a couple for the past twelve years and we have been married for nine. For both of us we knew from the beginning that we were meant to do life together. We have large supportive families who adore us and they support every next chapter of our lives.
When we found out we cannot have a biological child, we knew our path might be different, but the ultimate destination was the same: to love and provide for a child so as to become someone important in the lives of others. We don't know what that importance might mean, but we know that we will be there all the way to support him/her in everything she/he wants to become!
Our journey began the moment we wrote those first lines on our adoption diary. We prayed for you, the birth mother, and we prayed for your child. We knew we loved you both, although we have not met you yet. And this is how our journey will continue. This journal and the letters that we will write through the years will be a reflection of all the big moments in our lives and the life of our child. We want him/her to know how much he/she is loved by all and that we all look for his/her best in life.
In today's world, there are so many ways of communication and we are sure that we can mutually find what is the best way for us to keep in contact, so you are assured that our child is being taken care of and grows happy and healthy. On our behalf we will write you letters and send you photographs ready for you to receive, whenever you are ready and want to communicate. First milestones will be recorded and every birthday event will be recorded in a letter and photos to reflect the events and the progression of this beautiful new life. We are positive that life will surprise us in many ways and we will always keep a pen ready to share the events with you.
We want you to know that we have huge admiration and gratitude for you and your choice to place this baby under our care. You are about to change the lives of many, who are anxiously awaiting to meet the new member of our family; someone who will dream big and make it big! Someone who will speak multiple languages, travel the world and conquer it! Someone who will be surrounded by love, learn how to love and become a happy person. This will be our child, that we will support and guide and love with all our hearts.
Forever grateful,
Teddy & Asia
