Broque & Chelsie

We believe that adoption is one of the most selfless acts a person can do and we commend you for considering it. We love the life we have created together, and nothing would make us happier than to be able to share it with a child. We are very excited to start this next chapter and we appreciate you taking the time to view our profile.

Our Leisure Time

A Cold Day in the Mountains

We love to travel, whether it is for work or pleasure we love to soak up any new experience we can. We got really lucky with Broque's line of work because it has allowed us so many travel opportunities that we wouldn't have had otherwise. Our favorite work trips are the ones that take us to the coast where we get to spend time on the beach soaking up the sand and sun. We also really enjoy camping. We bought our first camper a few years ago and we love to get out to the mountains with family and friends whenever we get a chance. To us there is nothing better than getting out to the mountains enjoying the fresh air, sitting by a fire, and laughing with loved ones. As much as we love to travel it is always nice to get back home. When we are home we enjoy going on walks with our dogs around the neighborhood or on property. We also enjoy barbecuing with our friends and trying new places to eat around our city. We both love to cook individually and as a couple. Chelsie also likes to bake, she will make a batch of cookies and hand them out to the families in the neighborhood.

Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other

At the Beach

Chelsie About Broque: What I admire most about Broque is that he is a hard worker, creative, and driven. He started his own business in his early twenties and has continued to build and expand it ever since. Broque is constantly doing his best make sure that we have everything that we need to live comfortably. Broque always does his best to make sure those around him are happy whether that is his employees, friends, or family. Over the years I have got to see Broque with his nieces and nephews, they love and admire him so much and I can't wait to see that in our own family!

Broque About Chelsie: My favorite quality about Chelsie is how honest and real she is to everyone around her. I can always count on her to be honest with me in any situation. Chelsie is always there for me and supports me in everything I do. I love that Chelsie can always make me laugh even when I'm having a hard day. Chelsie is fiercely loyal to those she loves and I am happy to have her by my side.

Why We Chose Adoption

Our journey to starting a family has been a very hard one.

In 2009, halfway through a pregnancy, we found out that our baby was not growing normally. Through different ultrasounds and testing it was determined that our baby had a rare condition that would not allow our baby to live long after birth, and because of that is was recommended that we terminate our pregnancy. We chose to have hope and be positive and continued with the pregnancy.

On February 10, 2010 Chelsie gave birth to our daughter. We were lucky enough to have her in our lives and love on her for two months before she passed away. Losing her was the hardest thing we have ever gone through but we are grateful everyday that we got to meet her and that we were able to have her in our lives for as long as we did.

Over time we have come to learn that we are unable to have children without IVF/PGD. We have tried a couple of rounds of unsuccessful IVF and although we could continue down that path, there is something inside of us—in our hearts—that make us feel like adoption is what we should be doing to expand our family. We are now so excited to be on this path of adoption and we cannot wait to share our lives with a child!

Our House and Neighborhood

Our Home

Our home is located right on the edge of the city on 24 acres. We are the last house on our street with cherry and apple orchards behind us. We are minutes from the city, but we get to enjoy a country view.

We spend most evenings sitting on our patio by our fireplace enjoying the views and watching the sunset. One of our favorite things about our house is the pool, which is where we spend all of our spare time in the summer.

Although most of our time is spent outside, our favorite place in our home is our basement, where we enjoy watching movies, and football during the season.

We are within walking distance of an elementary school, and a short drive to several parks and walking trails. There are always family events going on such as farmer markets, boat races, rodeos, and the county fair. Our community is family driven and a great place to raise family.

Our Extended Families

Fun With Broque's Mom

We both come from fairly large families. Broque is the youngest of five children and Chelsie is the oldest of four children.

Broque has many nieces and nephews and Chelsie recently become an aunt for the first time!

Chelsie's Brother's Wedding

A few years ago we made the difficult decision to move away from our families in order for Broque to have more work opportunities. It was a hard decision because both of us are very close to our families. When we are home we enjoy camping, barbecues, and just hanging out catching up with everyone. We also make sure we go home every year for Christmas as that is an important time of year to us and our families.

We would love to have a child join our family and be a part of our family traditions, and be loved so much not only by us but by the people that love us the most!

From Us to You

We want to thank you for taking the time to view our profile. We cannot imagine the different thoughts, emotions, and feelings you are experiencing at this time. We would like to take this opportunity to briefly introduce ourselves and help you get a glimpse into the life we would love to share with a child. We started dating in 2008 and we were married in 2011. We have been through a lot as a couple, if there is one positive that has come from our hardships it is the unique bond and love we have for each other. We cannot wait to be able to share our love and raise a child together.

In 2017 we moved away from our hometown and our family for Broque to have more work opportunities. We are both very close to our families, so it was a difficult decision for us, but we love where we live and are happy with our choice. Although we are not living close to family right now, we make it a point to go back and visit frequently. There, there are grandparents, uncles, aunts, and several cousins that would give unconditional love to a new addition to our family. When we visit, we enjoy camping, barbecues, and just catching up with the ones we love most. Our journey to starting a family has been a long road with a lot of heartache and our family is so excited for us and supportive of this next chapter in our lives.

We both had close relationships with our parents growing up, we always felt plenty of love and support from our parents and that is what we want for a child of our own. We know that life is full of ups and down and we want to be there for the good and the bad, sharing in the fun and laughter but also there to dry any tears. We want to share and enjoy the small things in life, the big things in life, and everything in between as a family.

We would want a child to grow up knowing how much they are loved not only by us but by you as well. Our hope is to be able to share your child's growth and experiences with you through photos, letters, and emails, if desired. We know the decision to place a child for adoption is not an easy one and we would make sure a child knew your decision was not taken lightly and made with the utmost love.

We understand it is very important to educate ourselves on a child's heritage. We want to celebrate, embrace, and make it a part of our lives. We know it is not only crucial for the child, but also for us as parents. We have taken a course on promoting children's personal cultural identity which was available in our community, and we will continue to educate ourselves any way that we can. We live in a community with many different heritages, and multiple backgrounds. We have a culturally diverse family as well as a culturally diverse circle of friends. Chelsie has family members that are African American and some of our best friends are Hispanic. Having friends from a different background than us has allowed us to celebrate traditions and holidays that are different from our own, which always provides fun and new experiences for us. We are excited to continue educating ourselves and will make sure to teach a child about their heritage at a young age.

Again, we thank you for taking the time to get to know us a little bit and for considering the selfless act of adoption. If given the opportunity we would love to get to know you as well. We hope that you will find peace and comfort in the decision you make, whatever that may be, knowing it was right for you.
