Tre & Yari
We hope you'll be able to see the love we have for each other, our families, and our future child. Thank you so much for taking the time to learn about us. We've been blessed with so much love and laughter and can't wait to share it! We value the gift of adoption and pray you find peace in considering us, we look forward to the journey that lies ahead of us!
Our Leisure Time
We are very active and love being outdoors. We enjoy traveling and taking day trips together. We occasionally like to visit different countries and cultures so far we've been to Italy, Spain, France, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. Most of our adventures happen closer to home, living in Southern California means we don't have to travel far to find fun things to do. We spend a lot of time at the beach and love all that the ocean has to offer. We also aren't far from the mountains so we usually take a couple trips to go hiking and eat some warm apple pie. Some of our regular favorite things to do is go to Disneyland, botanical gardens, and explore the coast of California.
Another thing we love to do is volunteer at a local Rescue Mission. It is a Christian non-profit organization that addresses the needs of men, women, and children experiencing homelessness by sharing the Good News of Salvation through Jesus Christ and providing a holistic approach to rehabilitation and recovery. Tre meets with one of the men, and Yari meets with one of the women on a weekly basis for an opportunity to share the fundamentals of following Christ through the Spiritual Mentoring Program. This is an activity very close to our hearts and have come to make very close friends through it.
Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other
About Tre ... By Yari: Tre is also known as, "My man of God," which speaks to my most favorite quality of his, his faith. He is always encouraging my faith, leading our home bible studies or mentoring other men. He is a man who truly has the favor of the Lord and is not shy to share, Tre has an amazing instinct to help others in need. After high school Tre enlisted in the military and has accomplished much in his 24 years before retiring, and now helps veterans with disabilities. He goes above and beyond for his family every day, he is fiercely protective and loyal, and I am fiercely in love with him. Tre is my best friend and is always making me laugh, always willing to try something new, and do his best for the ones he loves.
About Yari ... By Tre: Yari is truly the love of my life and best friend! I have never in life met anyone with a heart bigger than hers. She sees life in a different lens believing there is good in every situation and every individual. She goes above and beyond when it comes to helping everyone she meets. She has a laugh and smile that will brighten anyone's day and a sense of humor that matches. She's passionate about her faith in God and our family which is the thing I love the most about her. She is adventurous and outgoing and will provide this child with an overflow of love and support.
Our Cultural Heritage
Yari is of Puerto Rican Heritage. Puerto Rico is small tropical island in Central America with rich diverse heritage from Spain, Africa, and the native Taino Indian's. The Puerto Rican people are passionate, vibrant, and warm people. We love dancing to salsa music, eating our cultures delicious foods, and we place family above everything. Yari is fluent in Spanish and Tre loves learning the language. Growing up Puerto Rican was always a huge sense of pride, because of our diverse history the Puerto Rican people range in all different types of beautiful skin colors and hair textures. Being surrounded by such diversity from early on has always made us and our family welcoming of others.
Tre is of West Indian (Haiti) and West African (Ghana) heritage. In both cultures there is an extreme sense of pride, passion, purpose, and family bonds. Being a mixture of these two diverse backgrounds has given us a great appreciation for family, community, music, dance, hard work, and a genuine love for people. It has prepared us to embrace people from different cultures and backgrounds with open arms. Tre looks forward to sharing these thoughts and beliefs and love for life with the child we are blessed to have enter our lives.

Our House and Neighborhood
Our home is located in a very family oriented and diverse area of beautiful, sunny Southern California. We purposely picked our three-bedroom home in this neighborhood because of all the families living here. There is a fully equipped park and pool belonging to our gated community right around the corner to our home and can hear the laughter of the children on any given day, the kids in our community have very close friendships with each other. We especially look forward to two days a year in our neighborhood; in summers when we and our surrounding neighbors BBQ from our drive ways (lots of food and fun!), and during Christmas time the local fire department will have Santa visit us in one of their big red fire engines! Public schools are some of the best in the area. We are so fortunate to live close to many beaches, hiking trails, Disneyland, zoos, safari parks, Legoland, and within minutes distance from a really nice downtown area.
Although outside of our home we love to do really cool things, we enjoy being in our home the most! We love our rocking chairs on our front porch, Tre grills up the best burgers in our backyard, and Yari chooses our movies on family movie night. We enjoy time with our cuddly dog Suki and entertaining friends and family. We are blessed to live in a special home and to be able to raise our children here would be extra special too!
Our Extended Families

Family is of the upmost value to us! Even though we are spread out in distance, that does not stop us from being very close to one another in love and in our relationships. Our two adult children reside in Oklahoma but we never go a few months without visiting each other. Anecia is graduating from college soon and Darnell, who serves in the military, lives with his wife and 6-year-old son, KJ. With call, text, video chat we talk every day and they cannot wait to welcome their new brother or sister!
Yari's family lives in Connecticut and they consist of her mom, step-dad, sister and two younger brothers including her 7-year-old little brother, and her adorable 2-year-old nephew. Our most recent family tradition is to take a family vacation together once a year. The latest destination was Puerto Rico, not only did our whole family gather there but we also got to see Yari's extended family who live there. Family in Puerto Rico consist of Yari's father, brothers and sisters and tons of young nieces and nephews. Tre is the youngest of four children and although they all reside in different states they maintain a very strong relationship. Our families are all eagerly awaiting this child and tell us on a regular basis how they cannot wait to spoil this child with lots of love, hugs and kisses!
From Us to You
Hello Friend,
You don't know us yet but we have been praying for you for a while now. No doubt you have a lot of nerves about this process- we do too. You want the best for your precious baby- we do too, whether with us or another great family. One thing that is pressed upon our hearts is the very real struggle that you have and will go through with this process. We want you to know that you are a good parent. We know that you are facing a very difficult decision and we admire your strength and courage. We are praying for you and hope that whatever you choose, you will know that you are doing the right thing for your child out of love. We know that you are a very courageous woman and we are excited to meet you.
As for us, adoption is a huge passion of ours, we've tried to get pregnant for a year without success. Despite the fact that we have been told we can easily get pregnant with assistance we desire to adopt! We first met during a Wednesday night bible study at our church, and it took one whole week for Tre to muster up the courage and ask for a first date! Soon after that first date we both realized we had met our best friend and soul mate! From the very beginning our faith in Jesus has been foundational both individually and in our relationship, adoption had been an individual desire in both our hearts long before we ever met and now after one year of marriage we are excited to start expanding our family through adoption. We value adoption as a gift from God and cannot wait to meet the child He has chosen!
More than anything, we want you to know that we promise to love your child unconditionally and will devote our lives to providing him or her with all the love, security and joy we can offer. We want your child to always know where they came from. You will always be an integral part of his or her life, and we plan to raise our child with an understanding and appreciation for you and the sacrifice you are making for him or her. This child will be loved beyond words by us, our families, by our friends, and he or she will always know the great love you have for him or her as well. If you so choose, we would love to maintain an open adoption. We believe that open adoption is the healthy choice for everyone involved in the process and hope for healthy relationships to form throughout life. We're open to contact, such as exchange of emails, phone calls or even an open adoption with future planned visits.
We desire whatever is best for you, and we pray that you be encouraged through this journey. We see this adoption as a ministry of God that has clearly directed both our hearts to. Thank you for the courage and love that you have already shown that sweet baby of yours!
