Brian & Leah
Thank you for taking the time to read our profile, we are overjoyed that you are considering us for this great honor! We have so much love to give, and cannot wait to be parents. We understand this decision is hard; but please know that we would surround your child with nothing but kindness, laughter, and love.
Our Leisure Time
We love to play games and often host game nights with our family and friends. We like to play all types of games including board games (we have a large collection!) and video games, especially Mario party and Mario kart. We also both love to get outside and enjoy nature. We like to take hikes with our dog Madison, swim, kayak, and fish!
Brian enjoys golfing, grilling, and anything sports related. His favorite teams are the New York Rangers and Penn State football. Brian loves going to games and cheering his teams on as much as possible. He loves sports so much that he even records his own weekly sports podcast with his brother, Greg.
Leah loves to stay busy crafting, baking, decorating, and watching movies. She is very creative and likes to paint, draw, and do any type of art project. Leah is a great cook and loves trying new recipes and different types of cuisine. She also loves to read; thriller mysteries are her favorite!
Our Dog, Madison
We both love animals and grew up in homes with dogs. After living together for a few years, we decided to add to our family by adopting Madison from our local animal shelter. Leah saw Madison’s big brown eyes and floppy ears and instantly fell in love. Leah and Madison are now inseparable, and Brian loves taking Madison on morning hikes at local nature trails. She is truly part of our family; she comes with us to Leah’s Mom’s house for Sunday dinners and travels to New Jersey with us for holidays. Madison loves being around people and she enjoys snuggling every chance she gets. We know she is excited to have another family member to love on!
Leah works for a California based publishing company as a graphic designer. She does design and layout on all types of books: Children’s books, photography books, stationery products, puzzles, licensed movie products, and more! She works remotely, full-time, from her home office. Leah has some work hour flexibility which will come in handy once we have children. She will never have problems scheduling doctor’s appointments or leaving early for sports events.
Brian works with Leah’s Dad and brothers for their family run industrial wood manufacturing business. The business was started by Leah’s dad over 30 years ago and is only a 10-minute ride from our house so Brian is always close by. Brian is the buyer and logistics manager for the company and he enjoys working alongside family to grow the business for the future.
Our Extended Families
We are both the oldest of 3 children and are very close with our families, especially our siblings, and live locally to all of Leah’s family. Brian’s family lives out of state but visit often, we have a guest room just for them. This will be the first grandchild on both sides and everyone is very supportive of our decision to adopt and excited to finally have a baby to spoil!
We love to spend time with Leah’s dad and brothers at our family lake. Swimming, fishing, kayaking and just hanging out playing games together. Leah’s mother also lives locally and is so excited for her first grandchild to join the family. We are incredibly blessed to live so close to family and often host game nights, cookouts, and Sunday dinners.
We love taking trips to visit Brian’s family and spending time at their shore house enjoying the ocean. With them we love to go out on the sail boat, BBQ, and spend time at the beach. They are within driving distance so we are able to go visit them every few months.
We love and cherish the close relationship we both have with our siblings- and god willing- plan to raise your child with siblings as well. Family is very important to us and we welcome your child into our family with open arms.
Our House and Neighborhood
Our house is located on a quiet, rural Cul-de-sac in Pennsylvania. We live in a great neighborhood that is in the country but only one hour from a major city. Not only are we lucky enough to live in a safe and peaceful community but also, we have the ability to visit the city often for different cultural experiences. We live only one mile from the local school, ball fields, community park, and pool. Our local park holds a 4th of July fireworks show where the whole neighborhood gathers together in their yards to watch. We live within walking distance of multiple nature trails, and driving distance to a few state parks. Our street is ideal for taking family walks, and will be the perfect spot for learning how to ride a bike with the other kids in the neighborhood.
Our house itself is 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. This house was made for a family! Leah loves the open floor plan, so everyone can feel connected whether in the living room, dining room, or kitchen. Brian loves the large finished basement. It has lots of room to play and is perfect for family movie night. The best part of our house is the outdoor patio and yard. We have a very private tree-lined backyard and we spend a lot of time on our patio cooking out, playing games, reading, and just relaxing in the fresh air. We cannot wait to spend time out here with our future children!
From Us to You
Thank you for taking the time to consider us and learn more about our lives. We know this is a difficult decision and we want you to know that we are here to support you on your journey.
We met back in 2011 at a local trivia night where Leah was immediately drawn to Brian’s warm and funny personality. We quickly started dating after that, knowing we were meant to be together. We even moved across the country together for the next six years gaining life and job experiences. Since we met, we have always known we wanted a family. We got married in 2017 and have since been excited to start making this a reality! Shortly after we were married, we moved back to Leah's hometown to be near our extended family, buy a house, and start our own family. We struggled a few years with trying to have a biological child, but now know that we are meant to grow our family through adoption. We are so happy to officially be moving forward in this adoption process!
Our goal is to provide the child with the same warmth and unconditional love we have for and with each other. We value education and want to teach our child through example. We want to be good leaders and role models throughout the child's life and teach them to go for their dreams! Growing up, our families were very supportive of our own unique interests and skills and we want to make sure that our child feels encouraged to find and explore their own interests as well. We want to share our zest for life, our positivity, and our never-ending love with your child. We both value the relationships we have with our siblings and hope to someday - god willing - further expand our family so your child will get to experience the joy of having siblings.
We are excited to share our own hobbies with our child as well. We both love to travel (near and far) and we are looking forward to continuing this tradition with our child. We love getting insights to other cultures, environments, food, and art, and traveling is a great way to do this. We love to get outside and explore nature, whether in our own back yard, state park, or swimming at the lake.
We want you to know that we value you as the birth mother, and we know that this may be a challenging time for you. Please rest assured that we will provide nothing but love and happiness towards your child. They will never want for anything, and they would be an accepted and welcome addition. Our extended family is just as excited as us to add a bundle of joy! We want you to know that we will discuss adoption openly with our child and make sure they know of the love that comes from you, the birth mother, and your decision to choose us to parent your child. We are happy to send photos and letters via American Adoptions, if that's something you desire. We respect you for facing this tough decision head on and we look forward to being able to be a part of you and your child's journey.
We are so happy to be considered and we are praying for you in this time.
