Our Promise to You

We Can't Wait to be Parents!

Our promise to you is to love, love, love this child as the gift that they are. We will provide a loving and stable home in a rural community where he or she will have the chance to run free and play in a huge yard. We will provide an extensive family network of cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents who will surround this child with love and adoration. We will teach the child to love and to receive love.

We promise to provide an opportunity for spiritual growth through weekly church services. This child will have the chance to travel and see as much of this amazing country as possible. The child will have the opportunity to make friends while attending public school and participating in clubs and recreational activities. We promise to give the child our undivided attention. Ultimately, our promise is to give this child the very best this world has to offer. There will be no shortage of love or security.

Our Family Traditions

Celebrating Easter

Traditions are extremely important to us! They are the bond of family love. Growing up, we both participated in Easter egg hunts, huge Thanksgiving dinners, and Christmas Eve and Christmas Day family time. Today, those traditions continue. We still gather with our families to celebrate our parents' birthdays, Mother's Day and Father's Day, Easter egg hunts, and huge Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations. Food is really important at each of those occasions! We like to eat! The feeling of love permeates through each of the gatherings as well. Cousins run around and play while the adults sit around and talk. The women work together in the kitchen getting the meals ready and sometimes the men stand around the grill while one of them watches the steaks or burgers and hotdogs. There are presents at Christmas time, with paper fights and lots of laughter. Our families also gather together for children's birthday parties. We go each year to the Christmas parades in our town and the neighboring one where Anita grew up (about 15 miles away). We also go to the annual 4th of July fireworks celebrations. There are festivals in our town we like to attend as well. Traditions bring us closer together as a family, and we refuse to live without them.

Why We Chose Adoption

We chose adoption because we have always dreamed of adding a child to our family. Anita was not able to naturally have children, so adoption was the natural solution to that issue. We want to be able to be there for a child who is in need of a loving home. We feel we can be extremely loving parents who can provide a happy life for a child. We want to give this child all the opportunities in the world, from simple family time at home to seeing all the beautiful sights this country has to offer. We want you to rest assured that we will provide a secure and loving home for our child together. We chose adoption because we want this child to experience love, security, and happiness. We want to share our lives and love with this child!

Our Extended Families

Our Families

We both have large extended families. This child will not only have the love of two doting parents, but also the love of many cousins, aunts, and uncles. The majority of Anita's family lives within 30 miles of us. She has two brothers who live about 250 miles away. Tony's family members are all within 10 miles. We just recently took some of our nephews and nieces on an outing consisting of pizza, wild animals, playing in the park, and eating ice cream. One of our nephews claimed it was the best day of his life!

Playing with Our Nieces & Nephews

We both get together with our families for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, Mother's Day and Father's Day, and for our parents' birthdays. For Christmas with Anita's family, we eat and sit around and sing gospel songs. When we are with Tony's family on Christmas Eve, we all bring food to eat, his mother reads the story of Jesus' birth from the Bible, and then we open presents. With both families, there is a lot of love, happiness, and food. Our family is unique because we still love to spend as much time together as possible. They are so excited about our adoption plan!

Our House and Neighborhood

Our Sweet Country Home

We live about seven miles from a small southern town in Georgia. The town has a neighborhood park with playground equipment galore, many churches, two elementary schools, a middle school, and a high school. Our town holds several annual events, including the Pecan Festival, Christmas in the Park, and the Christmas parade. The Pecan Festival and Christmas in the Park include food vendors and fun activities for the children...like the Chipmunks in concert! The neighboring town, which is only about 15 miles away holds a 4th of July celebration and a Christmas parade each year. There is one family in our neighborhood that has children who could grow up with this child. There are other families with elementary age children, and we have lots of nephews and nieces close by who are ready and waiting to play with a new cousin!

Our Kitchen

Our house is a remodeled farmhouse consisting of nine rooms: living room, dining room, kitchen/den, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a laundry room. It is cozy and very inviting. Our favorite room is the living room because it is where we spend all of our family time. We can’t wait until our home is filled with the pitter patter of little feet and a child’s laughter.

From Us to You

Let us start by saying thank you! Thank you for bringing a new life into this world. Thank you for caring enough about this child and for caring enough about hopeful parents to offer to share this new life. We have been married for two years and together for six years. We long for a child of our own. We are not able to have a child naturally, but we are extremely hopeful that we can have one through adoption. We are so excited to begin a new journey with such a precious gift!

We both come from huge, loving families and have a huge network of love to share with a child. Your gift of a child will have so many cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents to love and be loved by. Our child will have the opportunity to grow up in a safe, stable, and loving environment. When we say our child, we mean the child you and we have together, the gift you so graciously are willing to share with us.

We live in a farming community near a small southern town that is a wonderful place to grow up. We have a big yard that is just waiting for a child to run around and play in it. Please know that we will cherish the child that we adopt and that child will never want for anything. We are a family that loves to be lazy at home, but we also work hard and will teach our child the value of hard work. We will also ensure that our child is involved in church activities consisting of Sunday School, church services, and youth groups.

We are a family that loves to travel. Our child will enjoy road trips and/or plane rides to all parts of our great country. We always observe Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and many other holidays. We have great family traditions connected with these holidays. We get together with family to eat and enjoy each other's company. We go to Christmas parades and annual 4th of July celebrations. Our main priorities in life are church, family, work, and enjoying life. We think it is amazing that you are willing to share a life with us.

We will send letters and pictures to you of important milestones in our child's life. We are willing to exchange emails and phone calls with you, as well. You mean so much to us and we feel that you are extremely brave because of your willingness to give us such a precious gift. We are already so in love with the child that we haven't met yet, but can't wait to meet!

In summary, and as we stated earlier, we long to have a child. We will provide a happy and loving home for our child. This child will have so many delightful opportunities. Our child will have children to play with, toys to play with, and a huge loving extended family. Our child will be able to travel, to participate in recreational activities, and to receive an excellent education. We love to have fun, and we love to laugh. We will teach our child Christian values. We will teach the child to do light chores to learn responsibility. Most of all, we will love our child and be forever grateful to you for giving us the best and most treasured gift of our lives!

Thank you again,

Tony & Anita
