Jed & Janece
Thank you for learning more about our family and considering us as potential parents for your child. Family is the most important thing to us and we feel that we have so much love to share as we strive to grow our family. We cannot wait to see how our family will grow through adoption. We look forward to the journey that lies ahead.
Adoption in Our Lives

We learned early on in our marriage after multiple visits to doctors that we couldn't have children of our own. This was heartbreaking! Starting a family was the most important and essential part of our plans together. This led to a lot of prayer and pleading for guidance in how to begin this journey. This struggle led us to adoption. What an amazing journey! After about a year and a half, we were able to adopt our daughter, Porcelain. What a blessing! She is the joy that has healed the brokenhearted, the sun that lights up the dark. She is currently in 1st grade and loves going to school each day. She is smart, fun, sassy and headstrong along with always being adorable. As for her biological mother, we have a good relationship with her and Porcelain's grandparents. They are an important part of our daughter's life. We are truly grateful for the adoption process that has changed our lives and provided us the blessing that we desire above all else.
Our Life Priorities

The most important priorities to us are our family and faith. These two aspects of life give us purpose and bring us happiness. Family always come first for us. We strive diligently every day to take care of each other, to love each other, and lift each other up. The memories we make together are what we treasure most. We love spending time together playing games, having dance parties, walking/hiking, flying kites, going to yard sales and spending time with our dogs. We also love having movie night each week and watching a movie together.
Our extended families are a big part of our lives as well. We visit our parents every summer and we look forward to this every year. It is a time for us to relax, reconnect and have fun. Once a week we Facetime with grandma and she reads a book to our daughter. We cherish this experience with grandma! We make it a priority to talk to our parents every Sunday and text our siblings every week. We want to make sure that we are always nurturing our family relationships.
Our faith is also a big priority to us. We believe in God and strive to be good Christians. We strive to put God first in our lives and serve our neighbors. We try every day to have Christian values guide our individual lives and our family.
What It Means to Be Parents
We love being parents! It's a roller coaster ride with ups and downs but we find great joy in the journey. Becoming parents was not easy for us. It was something that we wanted and prayed a long time for. It was a challenging journey but becoming parents was the greatest gift that we've been given. Because it didn't come easy to us we cherish it so much. We don't take it lightly and understand that it is our greatest responsibility. It requires a lot of care, love and understanding. We believe that parents have a solemn responsibility to love and care for each other and their children. We feel that it is our responsibility to be able to provide for a child's basic needs, protection and to help them prepare for life. What joy children have brought into our lives! Yes sometimes there are hard days with tears and frustration but that is outweighed by the good and happiness that comes with being a parent. We love the hugs, snuggles, smiles and laughter and can’t wait to share it all with another child.

Our House and Neighborhood

We live on a safe, quiet cul-de-sac. We have a home with three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a big backyard where we love to play outdoor games and play with our puppies. We have a beautiful park in our community with walking paths where we love to go on walks and our daughter rides her bike. One of our daughter’s favorite activities is going to the neighborhood playgrounds and swinging, going down the slides, and running around. There are also two community pools where we love to go swim and play during the hot summer months. One of the pools has a lazy river which is a lot of fun!

Our neighborhood loves the holidays with decorations at Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. We love to decorate our home and enjoy the holiday seasons. We specifically love Halloween and Christmas. Halloween is so much fun because families wait outside their homes to greet the trick-or-treaters and of course our daughter loves to dress up! Nativity scenes are Jed's favorite decoration at Christmas.
Our city also has a lot of things to offer with zoos, museums, children theaters, aquariums, pumpkin patches, and other seasonal activities. We have wonderful neighbors that look out for each other. We look forward to raising our family in this wonderful community!
Our Extended Families

We are both members of splendidly large families. Jed grew up with one brother and four sisters. Janece has five older brothers and two younger sisters. Even though they are spread throughout the country, spending time and staying in contact with each sibling is still a high priority for us. We believe that family is the most essential part of God's plan for us in this life to receive love, support, and guidance.

We both had the opportunity to grow up on farms and loved the experiences it provided. It taught us the value of hard work, diligence, and responsibility. We loved being outdoors and being around the animals. We both got the fun experience of feeding the bummer lambs and calves their bottles. We played with kittens, helped drive tractors, irrigated the fields to name a few of the other activities around the farm. What a joy this was for both of us! We loved the simpleness of life it provided along with wonderful memories it still provides.
Family time is very important to us! Two of Jed's siblings live close by and we love spending time with them. Board games, card games, hiking, playing sports, or even going shopping and to a movie are all fun things we enjoy. All of our family members are very supportive of our adoption journey and look forward to a new niece or nephew!
From Us to You

Our names are Jed and Janece. Thank you for taking the time to read our profile and learn more about us. We understand that you have a difficult decision ahead of you and we admire your courage and strength in making this decision for your baby's future. We hope that learning more about us will give you peace of mind as you make this decision for your baby.
We have been married for six years and have a six-year-old daughter, Porcelain. We met at a sports activity night at our church. Jed was visiting his sister and came to the sports night with her. He called Janece the next day for a date and we've been together ever since. We have a strong relationship and love spending time together. Our home is filled with love and laughter. We have a love of family, religion, sports, games, movies, walks, hikes, and our new puppies. We can't wait to share this love with another child. Please know that your child would be welcomed into a loving and stable home.
Currently Jed works as an assistant principal at an elementary school. He taught 4th grade for 10 years and has been in elementary administration for the last 10 years. He loves teaching and seeing the students learn and grow. He understands the importance of fueling a love of learning in each child and helping them receive an education. Janece works as an accounts payable administrative assistant for the Child Nutrition Department in a school district. She loves being part of a team that helps feed the children in the district so they can be better prepared to learn each day.
We both speak Spanish which has been very useful in our lives and our work. We have many opportunities to use our Spanish and we are grateful that we can do this in our daily lives.
We learned early on in our marriage that we couldn't have biological children. We wanted to have a family and prayed to know what steps we needed to take to make this happen. We were visiting Janece's sister a few years ago and a friend came over to her sister's home with her daughter. While talking with her we learned that her daughter was adopted. After this visit we knew that adoption was the avenue we needed to pursue to have a family and we embarked on an incredible journey. This journey led us to adopting our daughter and what a gift she is to us! We have decided once again to pursue adoption and we look forward to this next part of our journey and anxiously await the opportunity to add to our family.
You and your journey are also very important to us. We welcome your continued contribution in your child's life. We are happy to share with you your child's growth and experiences through photos, letters and emails if desired. We have a good relationship with our daughter's biological mother and grandparents. We visit with them a couple times a year, Skype a couple times a year and have created a Facebook page where we share pictures with them. We know they are an important part of our daughter’s life. Our daughter understands her adoption and we believe that having a sibling who is already adopted will be a benefit to another child and we will celebrate their unique adoption stories.
Thank you for considering us as potential parents for your child. We know you have a difficult decision to make and you will be in our prayers as you are guided through your journey.
Sincerely,
Jed & Janece
