Ryan & Karley
Building a family of our own would be a dream come true! Serving as foster parents has provided us a glimpse of this dream, but unfortunately the uncertainty has left us broken hearted which has led us to adoption. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to create a lasting relationship and blessing us with the gift of parenthood!
What It Means to Become Parents

Being a parent to us is the ultimate mixture of teaching, providing and security sealed with unconventional love. Being a mom and dad has been a desire and dream for both of us and is one of the pillars of our relationship. We have spent many hours dreaming and talking about what our kids would be like and how we would raise them. Having the ability to create and unbreakable bond with a child while watching them grow and develop is a special thing. We feel as parents that it is our responsibility to nurture our kids in every aspect of their lives while we try to help them fulfill their dreams. It is our job to provide opportunities for them to grow and be a guide to keep them safe. The most important aspect of being a parent is having a different type of love. We are so excited to have the chance to combine our love and give it all to a child.
Our Pup, Storm

We have a 5-year-old Toy Australian Shepard named Storm. Storm weighs approximately 15 pounds, has one blue and one brown eye and is the best cuddle-buddy. She has a good history with children and is very soft natured. Storm is the best friend any kid could ask for! When Ryan was working as a travel nurse, Storm was his sole companion and friend through the whole adventure as he traveled the United States. Even though Storm was Ryan's dog first, she has become inseparable from Karley. Storm tags along on all family walks and trips. Storm has loved and protected all of our foster children and has provided them comfort and companionship. She will be your babies best friend from the beginning. One of Storms favorite pass times is to chase the kids around the backyard or play fetch with a ball. Storm gives our family plenty of laughs and smiles due to her funny nature and charisma. She will provide love and protection as well as give them someone to feed their vegetables to!
Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other
Ryan About Karley: To break it down to the basics, Karley is the best person I know. Husbands are supposed to say this about their wives but I actually believe it. She constantly sees the good in people and strives to uplift others with all of her actions. Karley makes me a better man every day just by being around her. She has every characteristic a mom needs: loving, compassionate, nurturing, and so much more. I want nothing more in this world than to make my wife's dreams come true, but not being able to give her a baby kills me. I hope and pray that you will pick us so you can see how amazing Karley is and how great of mom she will be to your child.
Karley About Ryan: Ryan has so many amazing qualities, but one of my favorites is his passion for God. He has so much faith and is always looking to the bright side and saying, "God has got this!" Through our process he has never given up and has been my biggest rock. He makes sure to put my needs first and I know that he will be an amazing dad. He puts his all into everything he does, whether that is taking care of patients at work or putting together a swing set. His smile and infectious laugh can make any situation instantly better, he truly is my best friend and I cannot wait to be a parent with him.

Our House and Neighborhood

We live in a neighborhood in the southwest region of Missouri.
We have a beautiful three bedroom and two bathroom ranch-style home with a fenced backyard. Our favorite part of our house is our covered back deck, where we enjoy the sunset and have movie nights under the stars. As foster parents we have been able to create the ultimate kid-friendly backyard with a swing set, trampoline, and fire pit.
Our neighborhood is a great community full of loving young families with children. Our neighborhood has grown together celebrating kids birthdays and baby showers. This year we had a large 4th of July party full of fireworks, BBQ, and popsicles. On any given night our walk can turn into a chalk or bubbles party at a neighbor's house.
We live in a new development that will soon have a pool, clubhouse, walking trail, and common area.
We cannot wait to see our vision of turning our house into a home.
Our Extended Families

Family is a big part of our life and will be a big part of our child's life. Our families are very excited about growing through this process and your child will have multiple cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents who will love and spoil them from the day they come home.
A large portion of our family lives close by, which provides us with many family gatherings and evenings full of laughter, love and memories. Every Sunday during football season we watch the Chiefs game with Mimi and Papa and indulge in homemade BBQ and snacks.
During holidays and birthdays Karley's extended family has large gatherings where we eat southern-style cooking with homemade sweets.
In the summertime, Ryan's out-of-state family gets together for big celebrations full of boating and outdoor activities at the lake.
We love to take trips with our families and most recently went to Dallas to enjoy a weekend of Mavericks basketball and shopping with Ryan's sister and brother-in-law. Sports and going to sporting events are a huge connection between our families. Whether we are doing a big trip or just a small get together, family will always be a big part of making the memories unforgettable.
From Us to You

Thank you for blessing us and helping us in fulfilling our dream to become parents. We have been praying for this chance for so long and are thankful for you making the difficult decision to consider adoption. We know that this is a hard decision and would like to share a little bit more about us and our dreams of become parents.
Our relationship has been built on a firm foundation of friendship, faith and love. We have been married since September of 2019 and have been together for a total of four years. We try to spend as much time together as possible and believe that the little things in life are what count ?" such as date night at McDonald's and making handmade cards for special occasions. We enjoy going on weekend trips, hiking, boating, and going to sporting events like NBA, MLB, and NFL games. We hope to be able to continue to do these fun activities with our future children. We would like to be involved with our children and want to provide support in whatever activities they enjoy. Whether it is a hobby, school, art, dance, music, sports, or video games their interest will become our interest. We are active in our church and typically go every Sunday. It is our hope to raise our children in a Christian home that believes in the power of prayer.
Family is so important to us and we cannot wait to see ours grow. We would eventually like to have two children that we can call our own. We plan to continue to live in Missouri as we have both lived here most of our lives and enjoy having our family nearby. We both grew up in great homes with lots of memories and traditions. It is our hope to create memories and traditions of our own, such as road trips, going to the lake, camping, backyard movie nights, or a trip to Disney World. We like to go on a walk every night after dinner and can't wait for those walks to turn into teaching our kids to ride their bikes around the neighborhood. One holiday tradition that we cannot wait to start is making cookies on Christmas Eve and wearing matching pajamas. We also plan to celebrate our adoption day every year to remember one of the best days of our lives.
We believe it is important for you to remain connected to your child if you are comfortable with it and we would love to be able to facilitate this. We can connect on social media, send letters, emails, or pictures so you are able to see your child grow. We know the importance of maintaining a relationship between a child and their birth mother and are open to any other opportunities to maintain this relationship as well. We have experience working with this type of relationship in the past as foster parents and have been able to establish good relationships with each of our foster children's biological families.
Our promise to you is simple ?" we will love your child like no parent has ever loved a child before and will see them as our own. We will provide for them physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We will make sure that they know who you are and the amazing sacrifice you have made for your child and us to create a family. Our house will always be full of laughter and love, and we pray that we will be able to share that with you and your baby.
With Love,
Ryan & Karley
