Trevor & Ryan
We are both so honored to be considered as potential adoptive parents for your child. We both see this as the most loving gift that could ever be given to a family. Your consideration of us means more than words can express, and we look forward to taking this journey together!
Our Leisure Time
During our leisure time you can find us working on crafts, creating artwork or building a new project. We also love to go on walks to see the bison and chickens at the park by our house. Another thing we love to do is kayak. There is something about getting out on the water that feels so relaxing and peaceful. After a morning on the water we will scope out the perfect area to have a picnic. After a day on the lake we get to come home to relax in one of our favorite rooms in our house, the living room. We love to cozy up next to the fireplace and pick out a movie to enjoy. We can’t wait to share this with a child.
Trevor is very crafty and craves knowledge. Trevor can watch a video or read a book and know exactly how to build or design a project. Trevor loves to cook and is never afraid to try a new recipe. Trevor loves to have cupcake bake-offs with Ryan’s mom when she comes to visit. The one thing that Trevor looks forward to most every year is helping his mom prepare the Thanksgiving meal.
Ryan loves crafts and is extremely creative. Ryan also loves to build things and do woodworking projects. Ryan’s Great Grandma taught him how to crochet. Over the years Ryan has made blankets, and winter hats! Another hobby of Ryan’s is photography. Ryan’s favorite thing to photograph is nature, landscapes, animals, and especially the Northern Lights.
We love to travel! We love to plan trips to celebrate our anniversary, celebrate birthdays, celebrate life achievements, or just to get out of town for the weekend.
One of our favorite trips was when we went to Iceland. It was so magical seeing the different landscapes, mountains, volcanos, ocean, and of course our favorite - the Northern Lights.
We both feel that keeping life fun and exciting helps to give you something to look forward to throughout the year. We are so excited at the possibility of being able to share these adventures with a child, and get to build memories and experiences with them.
Fun Facts About Us:
Our House and Neighborhood
Our neighborhood is located in a suburb in Missouri. Walking around our neighborhood you will find many families out playing in the yard, coloring on the sidewalk with chalk, grilling out or walking their dogs.
Our home has five bedrooms and sits on half an acre. We have a nice open backyard that's perfect to play soccer, yard games or enjoy the fire pit.
Our favorite room in the house is our living room, we love to turn on the fireplace and keep an eye out for deer, raccoons or maybe even the occasional fox. It's also a great place to cuddle up and watch the snow fall. We also love that our living room opens up to the kitchen, the heart of the house. Trevor bakes many new recipes especially cupcakes and cookies while Ryan loves to cook enchiladas and fried tacos. Our kitchen has hosted many gatherings of family and friends.
We have many great parks around our neighborhood with playgrounds and walking paths. One of our favorite walking paths brings you to a city park that has bison and chickens that you can watch. We have a large lake within 10 minutes of our house that we love to kayak on and take walks around.
Around our neighborhood we have amazing schools, churches, shops and restaurants and we also have farmers markets on the weekends!
Being close to the city we are lucky we have access to many great activities like an amusement park and an amazing zoo.
Our Extended Families
Our families are a huge part of our lives. With our families living so close, we are lucky to get to see them often.
Ryan has one older brother, and Trevor has two older sisters. Between the two of us we have seven nieces and nephews. You can usually find us laughing around a dinner table while sharing a meal together, playing board games, kicking a soccer ball around the yard with the nieces and nephews, going out to our aunt's house to swim, grilling something delicious, or just relaxing by the fire pit.
Our favorite thing about our family is the abundance of love they have to share, smiles that they have to give, and those good bear hugs. We will always remember the day we shared our adoption journey with them. There was so much excitement and happy tears. We both know that they will be waiting with loving, welcoming arms.
From Us to You
We would like to thank you for taking the time to read our profile, and getting to know about us. We wanted to share more with you about who we are, and our story. We met on an online dating website. After talking online for a couple of weeks, we decided to meet. We spent the entire day talking, and getting to know one another. We can't really describe it, other than we felt like we were meant for each other. Since that day we have been virtually inseparable. We have been together for 5 years and married for 3 years.
Our goal for the past few years is to become parents. There is nothing more exciting than the idea of getting to raise a child. As parents we look forward to having the same traditions we had as kids, like wearing pajamas on Christmas Day, and searching for Easter eggs. We will also create our own traditions like helping Trevor set up his Christmas village, and helping Ryan make homemade caramels. We will always support, and encourage this child to be their own individual and raise them to be kind. We will always show them unconditional love and compassion.
Over the years we have been able to travel and see many beautiful places. We have been to the Bahamas, Italy, Iceland and Canada, as well as many places within the United States. This is another passion of ours and we would love to share these journeys and adventures with a child. While we are traveling we find ourselves making mental notes of places or things we would love to share with a child and create memories with them.
We want you to know we will share with you the milestones and adventures we go on, through photos and letters! Ryan's hobby is photography and will be taking many photos throughout the years, which we would love to share. While we were discussing growing our family, we also talked about a promise that we hope you can find comfort in.
This is our promise to you -
Our promise to you is that we will always be honest, kind, respectful, and love this child unconditionally. We feel by being open from day one will always allow them to be honest with us. Any questions, concerns, or fears, we will be there with an answer. Teaching them to be kind and love one another helps them to gain perspective that we are all unique and different. We will teach them to be respectful. We don't know situations, or the background story for everyone we meet, but we can be respectful and be there as a friend or support system. Last, but not least, we will love this child unconditionally. We feel that love not only creates a happy home, but is something that will be passed on to others around them, and could make an impact in their life.
We will never take this opportunity for granted, and from the bottom of our hearts we want to thank you for your consideration to be the parents of your child.
