Esam & Haneen
We always wanted to have kids, but when those dreams were shattered, we decided to go through adoption. This journey has allowed us to meet new friends who are also on the path of adoption. Our adoption journey has had rejections and failed matches. With the help of our friends, family, faith and love, we have strengthened our hearts and our resolve. We are eagerly waiting with pure hearts, open arms, and a warm embrace.
Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other
We are a loving and welcoming couple! We both have funny personalities and are excited to welcome our future baby into our family and in our life.
Esam About Haneen: One of the things I love about Haneen is that she puts others first and she has so much love to give. When it comes to her job, she is also hardworking and dedicates her time to ensure that her medical staff and patients are provided with the best care needed. Haneen is the most caring person that will pour all her love to a baby. I saw this first-hand when we went to Tennessee to visit her aunt who had just delivered a baby boy and you could see how much love she had by the way she looked into his eyes and held him. Haneen will make the most amazing mother.
Haneen About Esam: One of the things I love about Esam is that his interaction with kids is incredible. He teaches them different things in a fun way so that it's not frustrating for them. Esam has one of the biggest hearts imaginable. The coolest thing that I saw in him was when we took a trip to Tennessee to visit family and Esam helped the children carve pumpkins. There was so much laughter and fun! I know Esam will be a great father.
What It Means to Become Parents
"One of the greatest titles in the world is parent, and one of the biggest blessings in the world is to be one." – Jim Demint.
This quote is true to our heart. Becoming parents means the world to us. It will fill a void we currently feel in our lives and complete us as a family. We will put all our love and energy to our baby. We promise that we will keep the baby close to your heart as much as he/she will be close to our heart.
We hope that we would raise a child to become their best; a person who will make the world a better place that is full of peace, love, and especially, hope. The love that we have in each other runs like the river, which will flow to the child.
Being parents means to be there for our child and to support them through all of life's ups and downs. Raising a child through adoption is not only a blessing, but it is an honor and a dream come true.
Fun Facts About Us
Our House and Neighborhood
We moved to a new community in 2020, where it feels like an extended family. Everyone is so friendly and supportive of each other. One of the best memories that we have so far is exchanging plants, cookies on holidays and even recipes with our neighbors. Living in this community has shown the true meaning of supportive neighbors.
We live in a beautiful ranch-style home, which has three bedrooms and a basement. The best part of our home is the fact that the backyard is huge for playing and we also have a tree house with a swingset and a slide. The schools around here are amazing as they have the best education ratings. We moved to this community for the sole purpose of ensuring that the child will have a great education throughout their life.
Our neighborhood is surrounded by trees and nature, which makes living here very relaxing. We have discovered that there are many parks and recreation centers nearby that will have any child jumping for joy as each one will have new adventures and beautiful memories.
We have friends and family that don't live too far away, and our friends have grown their families through adoption and have one child each. We've been lucky to have them as resources throughout our adoption journey and we are excited to have our children grow up next to each other.
Our Extended Families
Esam was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, but grew up in Virginia and Maryland. Haneen was born and raised in Jordan and had an amazing childhood. We both are blessed to have families that loved and cared for us.
Esam is the oldest of two brothers and one sister. One of the best memories that he had growing up was playing soccer and taking care of his siblings. As the oldest, he was the role model and used that to shape his life to be the person that he is today.
Haneen is the only daughter with three brothers. She is proud that she wears a scarf, because when she was ready, she CHOSE to wear it. If we adopt a daughter, it is important to Haneen that our daughter understands that it's a decision that she would need to make, it's not something to be forced on. She moved to the U.S. in 2013 with Esam. It was hard, but once she began working, she started meeting new people and making friends. We now have very close friends that feel more like family.
From Us to You
Hello, we are Esam and Haneen. We appreciate you taking the time to view our profile and consider us. Our journey to parenthood has been long, but we dream of one day having a child to share our lives with. When we chose adoption, a quote by Richard Bach really resonated with us: "The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other's life."
We have been married for eight years and are going strong. We met through family and we knew we were meant for each other. Our adventurous personality and craziness matched each other. The moment Esam saw Haneen, he knew she was the one, because she is the most caring and loving person who puts others before herself. When Haneen met Esam for the first time she knew he was one the one because of his caring and loving mentality.
We are practicing Muslim couples in the Islamic faith. During the month of Ramadan we fast for 30 days. The reason why we fast is to feel and understand those that don't have the luxury of food. We have two celebrations—the first is Eid Al-fitr, which is celebrated after Ramadan. The second is the Eid al-Adha which is a celebration of pilgrimage. During these celebrations we give to the poor and bake delicious cookies and share them with our neighbors, families and friends. Most importantly, we visit family and friends to spread the celebration and joy.
We have always known we wanted children. However, when we struggled with infertility, we didn’t know where to turn at first. We first explored foster care, but then realized it wasn't something that was right for us. We then met some friends through the process that showed us a path through adoption, and we felt so inspired by them. We look forward to growing our family through adoption and we are excited to be on this journey!
We understand that this is an difficult decision. If adoption is the plan you do decide to pursue, know that we will give you the outmost respect. We will tell your baby their adoption story and that it was God's incredible plan for all of us. Even in the deepest sorrows, God can make something beautiful from it. We promise you that we will love your baby unconditionally. We promise to raise your baby to reach for the stars, overcome fears, understand sadness comes and sadness goes, and to remember to laugh and live life out loud! We will encourage them to play in puddles, take risks, that if they fall to get back up and try again, and to know that family is the foundation of that part of their life. Most importantly, your baby will always know that he or she is loved by you and that you are an incredible piece to their story! We will always try to provide updates via phone calls, emails, visits, or other means. As the meaning of hope goes, "We loved you before we even knew you, even when there was just a hope for you, we loved you."
