As families across the nation prepare for a truly unprecedented trick-or-treat experience, we’re keeping one tradition the same: our annual Halloween photo contest!

American Adoptions always loves seeing your kids dressed up in their Halloween finest. This year, we could all use those smiles more than ever, and we’re excited to share those creative costumes.

As always, our annual photo contest is open to anyone who has worked with American Adoptions — birth parents, adoptive parents and, of course, adoptees! Starting today, you can send in your submissions to be featured on our Facebook page. Winners will be announced in a few weeks on our blog and social media accounts.

Here’s how to enter:

  1. Email your favorite Halloween photo of you (birth parent) or your child(ren) to editors@americanadoptions.com. One photo per family, please!
  2. Title your email as “Photo Contest.”
  3. In the body of the email, please include your name, your children’s name(s) and ages. Example: John Smith, Age 2 – Parents: Robert and Jane Smith. You can also include a description of the photo, such as what your child is dressed up as.

Submissions are due by 5 p.m. CST on Thursday, Oct. 22.

Once we receive all your submissions, we’ll post them in an album on our Facebook page. There, you and your friends can vote by “liking” your favorite photos. Please note: Comments or shares will not be counted.

Voting will close at 5 p.m. CST on Thursday, Oct. 29. The winners’ photos will be shared throughout Halloween weekend on our blog, Instagram page and in our newsletter.

We look forward to your submissions. Good luck!
