| Mary | Posted: Feb 15, 2007 06:23:30 PM My advice would be to start researching the different adoption avenues. Once you have decided that you wish to start the process, be sure to find reliable professionals to help you. The only possible roadblock I can forsee might be getting homestudy approved due to medical issues; however, I don't know a great deal about that. Again, good research and good professional advice goes a long way. I wish you the best of luck in your journey to building your family!

| amanda | Posted: Feb 07, 2007 09:07:57 PM I am 27 years old and I have cystic fibrosis and had a double lung transplant in 1999. My dr's told me that it would not be safe to get pregnant so a wonderful friend of our offered to be a gestational carrier for us. we went through2 failed fertility cycles. the past one we had a positive pregnancy test then just today when she got her levels checked they had gone down dramatically. i have never wanted anything more in my life than to have my own child..but i couldnt imagine going through life with no children. my husband and i have a lot of love to give. we have not really discussed adoption yet. i would be affraid that i would not have a connection with the baby..i love children very much and i know that i would be a good mother...any advice
