| Mauri | Posted: Sep 29, 2005 08:06:01 PM HI Maggie, I just saw your questions, and you could probably call American Adoptions and they would be happy to help you. But from what I understand, you do know as soon as you are matched I would think (as long as the birthparents know) and they told us that they place a handful of twins each year, and your cost is actually about the same I think-they do not charge double for twins or anything--some costs would be more due to double paperwork, but the main costs don't change. You can choose whether or not you would be open to twins or triplets, etc. Again, I would just call 1-800 adoption and talk to someone there. Good luck, and if I were you I would go ahead and start the paperwork because it does take a few months to get active. Mauri | ||
| Maggie | Posted: Sep 14, 2005 10:59:38 AM My husband Steve and I will start the adoption process as soon as we complete our home this winter. We plan on using American Adoption based on our research and all of the positive things posted here. I however do have several question. Has any one ever had the privilege of adopting twins or triplets through American adoption? If so did you know ahead of time about the multiple births? How did the financial end of things change? If you requested multiple births was the wait longer? Thank You, Maggie | ||
