I beleive that most states require you to be 21 to adopt.

I'm 19 also and I live in Florida, what is the minimum age to adopt?

wow! i know exactly how you feel. i am 19 and married to an us army soldier that i know for a while now, we are stationed in germany and i have been here with my dad (retiered army) for 6yrs now. me and my husband have not been having much luck with getting pregnant. we both work and we wanted to start on a adoption because even if we ever get our own baby we still think giving a child that doesnt have a family a family and much more. so if you find out anything about this pls let me know thank you and keep your hopes up! and oh i almost forgot i think in texas you can adopt by the age of 18 but i dont know

I am 19 and I wanted to inquire if my age would hinder me from being able to adopt. I am currently attending college online. I am financially stable. Through out my life I have had many obstacles which have made me grow up. I helped take care of my siblings when they were younger, I've taken care of myself for even longer. I found out that I have ovarian cysts and that my biological father was almost completely infertile. I do take after him in many ways, although may not to that extent. I have tried to become pregnant, but I have that gut feeling that it is not going to happen. So are there any agencies that will let me adopt at my present age?
