Sarvesh & Alexis
Thank you for reading our profile. We are a loving, playful couple with big families, deep cultural roots, and a home filled with warmth and laughter. Adoption is already part of our family story, and our adopted nieces have brought so much joy to our lives. We hope these pages give you a sense of who we are and the life and home we would be honored to share with a child.
Cultural Heritage

Our cultural heritage is a meaningful blend of Indian, British, American, Catholic, Hindu, and global influences. Sarvesh is Indian, and his family background reflects the beautiful diversity within India itself. His mom is Roman Catholic and was born and raised in Goa, India, while his dad is Hindu and was born and raised in Kerala, India. Because they came from different regions, religions, and language backgrounds, they chose English as their shared family language and raised their children speaking English at home.
Alex’s heritage is also a blend of countries and cultures. Her mom is British, born in Yorkshire, England, and spent part of her childhood in India and Pakistan. Her dad was born in the United States and has British and Dutch heritage. He was raised in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York. Both sides of Alex’s family still have relatives in England, and we remain close with them and visit when we can.
Together, our families have given us a deep appreciation for culture, tradition, travel, food, faith, and the many ways people create belonging.
Family Traditions

Our family traditions are a mix of old, new, cozy, playful, and a little unexpected. On Alex’s side, one of the most special traditions is receiving a homemade Christmas stocking when you join the family. Each stocking has personalized decorations, and on Christmas morning, everyone opens them at the same time. When the whole family is together, it is heart-warming to see sixteen stockings lined up in a row. Alex is especially excited to one day make a stocking for a child and continue that tradition.
During our first year together, we started our own tradition: an annual “Leftovers” party the day after Thanksgiving. We invite friends and family over for games and to share any extra food they have. It is relaxed and fun. We also love hosting early morning parties to watch cricket matches. We make egg bhurji, an Indian scrambled egg dish, along with other brunch foods, and friends come over between 7 and 11 a.m. It feels festive and cozy, and then everyone still has the rest of the day to relax.
We also have a weekly Taco Friday at one of our two favorite taco spots. The staff know us now, and it is our favorite way to unwind, reconnect, and start the weekend together.
Lifestyle

Our lifestyle is active, grounded, and full of simple, happy routines. Most mornings begin with walking our dogs through the neighborhood before work. It is a peaceful way to start the day, get fresh air, and spend time together before the busyness begins. In the afternoons or evenings, we often take the dogs to the nearby park, where we can walk around the lake, enjoy being outside, and unwind from the day.
We like having a life that feels steady but not overly scheduled. We enjoy being outdoors, going to restaurants and concerts, seeing family and friends, watching a show, and creating little routines that are just ours.
One of our favorite rituals is going to the same taco restaurant every Friday. It has become our way of closing out the workweek and easing into the weekend. The staff know us, the food is familiar, and it gives us relaxed time to talk, laugh, and reconnect.
Overall, we hope our lifestyle will offer a child consistency, warmth, playfulness, and the kind of steady, loving home in which a child can truly thrive.

Our Extended Families

We both come from big, loving families, and, as the babies of our families, everyone is especially excited for us to become parents. This child would be embraced by grandparents, cousins, aunts, and uncles already eager to love them.

Alex's family is playful and full of tradition. Every two years, her family gathers at a secluded mountain resort for a week of games, hiking, canoeing, and screen-free time together. For many years, we lived near Alex's family and spent our time cheering for our nieces and nephew at school plays and concerts, barbecuing by the lake, and swimming with the kids. Sarvesh picked up golf when he joined the family and spent years of summer Saturdays golfing with Alex's dad, uncle, and brother-in-law, a tradition that brought them especially close.
Sarvesh's parents live in India and visit about every two years, and we are lucky to have close cousins nearby, plus his sister in California. We stay connected with an active family WhatsApp and frequent video calls. His family are serious food lovers. His aunt in San Francisco makes incredible biryani and chicken curry, and his brother-in-law is a master with a grill and smoker.
One of our favorite family coincidences is that our sisters' names are only one letter apart, Aisha and Avisha, and they both named their sons Max. Our families are different in culture and geography, but they share the same deep love, joy, and excitement for this child.
Our House and Neighborhood

We live in Texas in a bright, colorful three-bedroom, three-bathroom ranch with a big fenced backyard, where our two seven-year-old dogs love to run around like they own the place. Our home has many windows for light, and the walls are decorated with art we have collected over the years. We try to keep the house tidy and peaceful while prioritizing a lived-in feeling where muddy paws and little hands feel welcome.
One of our favorite things about our neighborhood is how family-centered it is. We live near a large park with a ten-mile walking and biking trail around a lake and multiple playgrounds for kids. The park also hosts concerts, festivals, and community events throughout the year. We spend almost every evening and weekend morning there because we love being outdoors.
Our neighborhood has many young families, and we live within blocks of five schools. Just one block away, we often see dads coaching little t-ball teams for children under five, which always makes us smile. Down the road, there is a plaza with a coffee shop that has a children’s playroom and a dance studio where Alex takes adult ballet. Through ballet, Alex has become close with a group of local moms who share advice, lend toys and car seats, plan meetups, and have already made us feel supported as future parents. Every Halloween, our neighborhood fills with children and families, making it feel joyful, connected, and full of life.
From Us to You

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us. We know this is one small part of a much bigger and deeply personal decision, and we are grateful for the opportunity to share who we are, what we value, and the kind of life we hope to give a child.
We have been together for ten years and will celebrate our ninth wedding anniversary in late 2026. For both of us, our marriage is the constant. It’s the safe, consistent place we return to no matter what else is happening. We laugh a lot, make a good team, and have learned how to show up for each other on the good days and the harder ones. We are not perfect, but we are committed to each other and genuinely excited to share our life with a child.
We live in Texas in a bright, colorful home with a big fenced backyard and two very loved dogs who think they own the place. We love being outdoors and staying active, and our dogs make sure we never skip an opportunity to walk by the nearby lake.
We both come from big, close families. We are also both the babies of our families, and everyone is excited to welcome a new grandbaby, cousin, niece, or nephew. Alex's grandfather was adopted, and cousins on both sides of our family have adopted children. We have seen firsthand how life-changing and beautiful adoption can be.
Culture is at the heart of our home. Sarvesh is Indian, with a Roman Catholic mother from Goa and a Hindu father from Kerala. He was raised celebrating both Catholic and Hindu holidays and traditions. Alex’s mom is from Yorkshire, England, and spent part of her childhood in India and Pakistan. Alex’s dad is American, with British and Dutch heritage, and was raised in the Finger Lakes region of New York. We have both lived in other countries and have always been drawn to people, food, and different ways of life. In our home, that looks like making egg bhurji for early morning cricket-watching parties, celebrating Taco Fridays, hosting friends from many backgrounds around our table, and a genuine love of learning about others.
We would honor the racial and cultural heritage of a child. We would want them to grow up with food, music, books, holidays, community, and friendships that reflect the fullness of who they are and celebrate every part of their identity.
We also believe in open adoption and the benefits it can offer everyone, especially the child. We believe adoption has been around for as long as people have lived together in communities. To us, adoption reminds us that family can be both born and chosen and that we all belong to each other in the larger human family.
We would send letters and pictures as the child grows. We are also open to more contact, including emails, phone calls, and annual visits if it feels right for you and supports the child. We want a child to know their story and intend to share it with them honestly and with love.
Alex plans to be a stay-at-home parent, at least until school age. She is self-employed and runs her coaching and author business from home, which gives our family flexibility and the ability to be present for a child at home. Sarvesh is steady, caring, playful, and deeply dependable. Together, we hope to offer a child a home filled with love, stability, laughter, cultural diversity, a big family, and the support to become fully and freely themselves.
Whatever path lies ahead, we hope you feel seen, respected, and supported in this decision. If you choose us, we will carry that gift with us every day and make sure this child always knows how loved they were from the very beginning.
Thank you again for considering us and for allowing us to share our hearts with you.
With gratitude,
Sarvesh & Alexis
