Caddy & Paige

We are a loving and loyal family who truly values laughter, togetherness, and supporting one another through everything life brings. Our son Scotty, who passed away, will always be part of our family and our story. His life continues to shape our hearts and lead us to this journey of adoption. We are so excited to welcome a child into our lives and to offer a home filled with warmth, stability, and unconditional love.

Family Dream for this Child

Family Picnic in Poconos, PA

We dream of raising a child who feels confident, deeply loved, and grounded in who they are. We hope they grow up knowing they have a strong and steady foundation, a family that shows up for them, listens closely, and celebrates them for exactly who they are.

Our goal is to create a home where their story is honored with openness and care. We want them to understand that adoption is part of their identity, and that it can hold both beautiful and complex emotions. We will be there through it all, answering questions honestly, making space for every feeling, and reminding them that their story belongs to them. We also recognize there may be a desire to connect with their birth parents, and we will support them in whatever choices feel right to them in those relationships.

We look forward to building a life filled with connection, laughter, and meaningful traditions. We imagine time spent outdoors, gathering with family, being part of a close-knit and supportive community, and creating moments that feel both joyful and grounding. We want our home to feel lighthearted and safe, a place where they can be silly, curious, and fully themselves. We also hope to raise a child who is kind, open, and confident in the world around them, someone who feels secure enough to try new things and form strong, lasting relationships. Above all, we want them to always know they are deeply loved, truly wanted, and that our family was built with intention, care, and so much love.

Lifestyle

Our lifestyle is very centered around connection, time together, and being outdoors. Caddy runs a summer camp in Nobleboro, Maine, and between the months of June, July and August, we live at Camp Kieve. It's part of a larger camp community, with a girls' camp just across the lake called Wavus, which makes everything feel even more connected. We have two rules at camp- everyone deserves to be treated with kindness and respect, and everyone has to wear footwear. Beyond that, space is created for young people to be silly, authentic, try new activities, and perhaps most importantly, figure themselves out in this ever-changing world. We’re so grateful to be a part of such a wonderful community, and we know that a child in our family will have the opportunity to be loved by so many people there.

Camp is one of our favorite parts of the year. We love the sense of togetherness it brings, everyone eating meals together, being outside all day, and building strong, positive relationships between campers, and incredible counselor and director role models that make sure the program is safe, fun and connected. Days are active and full, with time on the water, playing sports, and just enjoying being unplugged. The rest of the year is more routine in Boulder, Colorado. We go to University of Colorado football games, spend a lot of time outdoors, and stay close with family and friends. We like keeping things simple and making time for the people around us. Overall, our life is active, social, and grounded in community, and we are excited to share that with a child.

Why We Chose Adoption

Holding Our Sweet Scotty Boy

We came to adoption after a really significant loss, the death of our son. That experience changed us deeply, and it also strengthened our faith and our belief that the right soul will find its way to us at the right time.

When we made the decision to focus on adoption, we really felt it in our bodies that it was the right choice for our future family. There was a sense of peace and clarity that we hadn’t felt for years.

Over time, that feeling, combined with what we’ve seen in our own family, where adoption has been a beautiful and natural part of life, helped shape our path forward. Seeing those examples up close showed us how strong, loving, and connected families can be through adoption.

We also feel that our life experiences have prepared us to love a child wholeheartedly. We understand love and loss in a very real way, and we feel ready to open our hearts again and build our family through adoption with that same depth of love and commitment.

Our Extended Families

Paige's Family Enjoying Time Together

Family is a huge part of our lives, and we feel really lucky to have so much love and support around us. Paige’s family lives just five minutes away, her mom, dad, sister, brother in law, and their three kids. The kids spend time in each house like it is their own, and all of them are filled with toys, dress up clothes, and art supplies. It makes everyday life feel fun, busy, and really connected.

Caddy’s family lives in Massachusetts, his mom, sister, brother in law, and their two boys. Even though they are farther away, we stay close through visits, calls, and making the most of time together whenever we can.

Caddy's Family

Most of our time with family is pretty simple, Sunday dinners, holidays, or last minute hangouts that turn into full evenings. There is always good food, a lot of laughter, and usually some kind of friendly competition. Paige is known for being playful and a little silly with her nieces and nephews, whether that is running around outside, playing games, or doing crafts. She loves getting on their level and just having fun. Caddy is our “vibes” guy, easygoing, thoughtful, and someone who makes everyone feel comfortable right away. Our families have been so supportive of our adoption journey and are genuinely excited. We know this child will be surrounded by love, encouragement, and a whole lot of joy.

Our House and Neighborhood

Home Sweet Home

We live in a welcoming neighborhood in Boulder, Colorado that feels like a great place to raise a family. Our home has four bedrooms and three bathrooms, with a comfortable living room where we spend time together, play games, and relax. The kitchen is one of our favorite spots since we both enjoy cooking, and pancakes are a regular weekend thing for us. Our backyard is fenced with a big grassy area, perfect for running around or climbing trees. Paige grew up in this house and has a lot of good memories here, especially playing outside with her dad, and she looks forward to sharing that with a child.

Our Cottage in Maine During Summer

Our neighborhood is friendly, safe, and full of families. There is a park just a few houses down with a playground and open fields where kids are always playing. A lot of our neighbors have children, so there are plenty of opportunities to make friends nearby. We really like how easy it is to be outside and active here.

Overall, our home is a place where people can feel comfortable, have fun, and spend time together, and we are excited to share that with a child.

From Us to You

Hi! We are Paige and Caddy! We’re married and have been together for seven years and are so grateful for the opportunity to introduce ourselves. We can only imagine the courage, and love it takes to consider adoption for your child. While we cannot fully know the depth of what you’re feeling, the weight of this decision, or the particulars of your life right now, we do understand, in our own way, what it means to make a choice rooted in what is best for a child, even when it is incredibly difficult as a parent.

We had a son, Scotty, who passed away at just six days old. He was born perfect, and arrived in this world on September 9th, 2023 and passed on September 15th. His physical life with us here, though brief, shaped who we are and expanded our capacity to love more deeply than we knew possible, and while his absence is something we carry with us every day, so too is our unwavering love for our little guy.

Losing Scotty opened our hearts to a path we hadn’t originally imagined, and yet one that feels so right. It helped us see that a family can be built in many beautiful ways, and we believe that the next child who is meant to be part of our lives will find their way to us. Our time with our little guy continues to teach us everyday, and perhaps the most appropriate lesson we learned is to put the needs of our child above our own.

We value connection, honesty, and a home filled with laughter, support, and love. We also like to have a ton of fun together too! We live in Boulder, Colorado, and enjoy hikes, University of Colorado Football games (we’re season ticket holders, as is all of our family in the area!), skiing, and also those seemingly small moments with family. Paige’s mom and Dad live five minutes away, and her sister, husband and three kids live fifteen minutes from us. We spend time at the park, big family barbecues, and generally enjoy each other's company. Caddy runs a summer camp in Nobleboro, Maine, where 600 campers come through every summer, all from different socioeconomic backgrounds, and from all around the country and even the world. The friendships at camp are lifelong, and this is a big part of our lives, and we think it will also be a wonderful opportunity for our adoptive child! Caddy’s family lives in Massachusetts, and we have a family home in Marthas Vineyard, which is an important part of our lives. Every year we descend on the house, and pack it with family- cousins, aunts, uncles, and while we do fun things like go to the beach, the biggest value is time spent together.

We’re committed to building a life where a child feels safe to be themselves, encouraged to grow, and surrounded by people who believe in them. We also respect the role you play in your child’s life and the love that will always exist. We are very open to maintaining a connection in whatever way feels right to you. Our preference is for an open adoption, where you can remain a part of your child’s life through visits, calls, messages, and shared moments, both big and small. At the same time, we understand that this is an emotional and nuanced decision for you, and we will fully respect your wishes, whatever they may be. Our goal is not only to support a child, but also to honor and support you in whatever way feels most meaningful.

While we cannot know exactly what you are going through, we do recognize the strength and love it takes to consider a decision like this. It speaks to your courage, love, and care for your child’s future, and we promise to honor that every day. You are strong. You are courageous. You are loved.

Thank you for taking the time to learn a bit about us. We are ready to open our hearts, our home, and our lives to our next child, and to provide a nurturing, joyful, and supportive environment where they can grow, fall down, get up, be themselves, be heard, and perhaps most importantly love and be loved.

With so much gratitude and respect,

Caddy & Paige
