Kevin & Lindsey
From the beginning of our relationship, we have dreamed of building a family centered around love, kindness, and meaningful connections. Thank you for taking the time to learn about us and for considering us during this important time in your life. We are excited for the opportunity to grow our family through adoption and to provide a child with a home filled with laughter, encouragement, stability, and unconditional love.
How We Met

We met in 2010, while working as nurses in the Intensive Care Unit at our local hospital. The first time we interacted, there was an instant connection. What started as co-workers grew into a closer relationship. Kevin finally asked Lindsey out towards the end of 2010, and the rest is history. We got engaged in 2013 and bought our first and current home that same year. Kevin proposed to Lindsey while standing in the middle of a creek while fishing on the first day of trout. We got married in 2014 and have been happily married since then. We both still currently work in the hospital as nurses. Lindsey works in a trauma ICU, and Kevin works for the Condition Team that responds to emergencies throughout the hospital. The unique thing about Kevin's role, is that he is also part of the Obstetrics Team in the hospital and performs fetal heart tones on pregnant mothers who are admitted to the facility.

What it Means to be Parents

To us, being parents means far more than simply raising a child, it means guiding, supporting, and loving them as they grow into the person they are meant to become. We look forward to helping our child discover their own individuality, strengths, passions, and purpose in life while encouraging them to become a kind and thoughtful person who makes positive difference in the lives of others. We hope to pass down the same values and virtues that our parents instilled in us, including compassion, respect and honesty.
One of the things we are most excited about as future parents is being there for every stage of life; The highs, the lows, the successes, the setbacks, and all the moments in between. We understand that mistakes are natural and an important part of life, and we want our child to feel safe learning, growing, and becoming stronger through those experiences.
Above all else, our greatest hope is for our child to grow up happy, confident, and fulfilled. We want to provide them with every opportunity to succeed, support them in becoming the very best version of themselves and ultimately hope they achieve more in life than we ever could ourselves.
What Makes Us Unique

One of the things that makes us unique as individuals and as a couple is the balance of our qualities we each bring into our relationship and the way those qualities strengthen our family together. Lindsey is caring, compassionate, and has a deep appreciation for life and the people around her. She is the type of person who will always go out of her way to lend a helping hand, and once she commits to something, she does not stop until the job is done. Her kindness, determination, and selflessness make her someone others naturally feel comfortable around.
Kevin is modest, hardworking, and dependable. He believes in putting in the effort needed to accomplish goals and is often the first one to arrive and the last one to leave. He is thrifty, loyal, caring, and protective of the people he loves most. He values honesty, dedication, and always tries to provide stability and support to those around him.
Together, we work incredibly well as a team. We communicate openly, support one another, and know how to combine our strengths to accomplish the toughest tasks. Our careers as nurses, have taught us how to stay calm under pressure, handle stress with patience, and solve difficult problems as a united team. At the same time, we are fun, outgoing people who truly appreciate the simple things in life.

Our Extended Families

Lindsey comes from a family of four children and is the oldest sibling, while Kevin has one older brother. Both of our parents have been happily married for more than 40 years, giving us wonderful examples of lasting love, commitment, and family values. Family means everything to us, and our home has naturally become the gathering place where holidays, celebrations, and everyday moments are shared together.

Whether we are passing out candy to neighborhood children on Halloween, opening presents on Christmas morning, or gathering around the table for Thanksgiving dinner, our home is always filled with laughter, love, and togetherness. One thing that especially brings everyone together is the food. Lindsey loves to cook, and we often joke that “everyone leaves with a full belly.” From home-cooked meals and fresh vegetables to delicious desserts, there is always plenty to share — and always enough leftovers sent home with family.
During the summer, we enjoy evenings around the campfire making s’mores and sharing stories, while winter brings cozy game nights, karaoke, and quality time spent together indoors. Above all, our home is a warm, welcoming place where memories are created, traditions are celebrated, and love is always felt.
Our House and Neighborhood

We live in a warm and welcoming four-bedroom ranch-style home in Western Pennsylvania, surrounded by the beauty of nature. Our large fenced-in yard backs up to a peaceful wooded area where wildlife can often be seen just beyond our backyard. Only minutes from our home are wonderful parks with newly renovated playgrounds and jungle gyms that inspire imagination, adventure, and play.
One of the things we love most about where we live is how family-oriented the area is. We are within driving distance of beloved amusement parks like Kennywood, Idlewild & SoakZone, and Sandcastle Water Park — places that hold special childhood memories for both of us and that we look forward to sharing with a child of our own. Family is also close by, with both sets of grandparents living only ten minutes away, making visits easy and frequent.
Our community offers many opportunities for learning, creativity, and fun, including a public library within walking distance, nearby museums, sporting events, and family activities throughout the year. We also spend a great deal of time with extended family and close friends who have young children, creating opportunities for lasting friendships and meaningful memories.
Above all, our home is filled with love, laughter, safety, and comfort — a place where everyone is welcomed and encouraged to grow.
From Us to You

First and foremost, thank you for taking the time to read our letter and learn a little about who we are. While we cannot fully understand the emotions and decisions you may be facing right now, we want you to know that we deeply admire the strength, courage, and love it takes to consider an adoption plan for your child. We are truly grateful for the opportunity to introduce ourselves and share our story with you. From the beginning of our relationship, we have dreamed of building a family centered around love, kindness, and meaningful connection. We have been together for 16 wonderful years and married for the past 12 years. Throughout our journey together, we have built a strong and loving partnership based on trust, laughter, and unwavering commitment to one another. No matter what life has brought our way, we have always faced it side by side, and we know in our hearts that becoming parents is the next chapter we are meant to share together.
Family means everything to us. We are fortunate to be surrounded by a large and supportive family who are excited to welcome a child with open arms. Holidays, birthday celebrations, family dinners, and simple everyday moments are things we cherish deeply. Our home is often filled with laughter, conversation, delicious meals, and the people we love most. We believe children thrive when they feel safe, supported, and surrounded by unconditional love, and that is exactly the kind of life we hope to provide. We live in a warm and welcoming home in Western Pennsylvania with a large fenced-in yard and beautiful parks nearby. Our community is family-oriented and full of opportunities for learning, creativity, and fun. We look forward to bedtime stories, school events, family vacations, trips to the library, holidays around the dinner table, and all the little moments that make childhood so special. We cannot wait to encourage a child’s dreams, celebrate their accomplishments, comfort them through challenges, and help them grow into the person they are meant to become. We are very down-to-earth people who understand that life is not always perfect, and we know there will always be challenges and unexpected moments along the way. We believe that parenting and adoption both come with beautiful moments, learning experiences, and responsibilities that we are fully prepared to embrace with open hearts. What matters most to us is facing life's moments together with patience, understanding, and support for one another. We work hard, manage life one day at a time, and always find a way to get through both the good times and the difficult ones as a team. At the end of the day, being together, supporting one another and appreciating the life we have built means more to us than anything else. More than anything, we promise to provide a home filled with patience, understanding, encouragement, and unconditional love. We will always remind your child how deeply loved they are and how special their story is. We believe adoption begins with love, and we would honor the love and sacrifice that brought your child into our lives every single day.
We would love to keep in contact by arranging a visit within the first five years and we will provide email and telephone contact information to allow for check-ins and photo updates. We also want you to know that we respect the difficult and deeply personal decisions that come with this journey. Whatever path you choose, we hope you feel supported, valued, and surrounded by compassion. Thank you for considering us as potential parents for your child. It is impossible to fully express how much this opportunity would mean to us.
If chosen, we promise to love your child with our whole hearts and provide them with a life filled with warmth, security, guidance, and endless support. We would be forever grateful for the chance to grow our family through adoption and to share a lifetime of love with a child.
With love and gratefulness,
Kevin & Lindsey
