Brett & Maddie
We believe becoming parents is one of life's greatest privileges and responsibilities. Thank you for taking the time to learn about us as you consider what is best for you and your child. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to grow our family through adoption and hope these pages give you a genuine sense of who we are, the life we share, and the family we hope to build.
What It Means to Be Parents

To us, being parents means so much more than helping a child grow—it means having the privilege of walking beside them through every stage of life. We look forward to encouraging their curiosity, helping them discover what they love, celebrating the little victories just as much as the big ones, and being the people they know they can always come home to. We hope they'll always feel safe asking questions, trying new things, and becoming exactly who God created them to be.
We look forward to creating the traditions and experiences that make childhood special—from bedtime stories and family dinners to holidays, vacations, and spontaneous adventures. Whether we're exploring a new place, spending time with family, playing in the backyard, or simply sharing dinner around the table, we believe it's often the ordinary moments that become the most meaningful memories. Most of all, we want our home to be a place where a child always feels safe, supported, and loved exactly as they are.
We know parenthood won't always be easy, but we welcome both the joys and the challenges with open hearts. While our path to parenthood looks different than we once imagined, our hope has always been the same—to love a child wholeheartedly and help them grow into a kind, confident, and compassionate person. If we can help raise someone who loves others well, treats people with kindness, and leaves the world a little better than they found it, we will consider that one of life's greatest blessings.
What Made Us Who We Are Today

We are who we are today because of the love, guidance, and example of our families. They taught us that character is built through faith, kindness, hard work, and showing up for the people you love.
Maddie learned from her parents what it means to support someone unconditionally. They have always believed in her, encouraged her to pursue her dreams, and reminded her that she could accomplish anything she set her mind to. Through every season of life, they have shown up for her and reminded her that she never had to face life's challenges alone. Their example gave her the confidence to become the person she is today.

Brett was raised by parents who modeled integrity, responsibility, and a strong work ethic. His grandfather also had a profound influence on the man he has become. Brett admired how he faithfully provided for his family while always making time to laugh, play, and create special memories with his grandchildren. He also wasn't afraid to lovingly discipline Brett and teach him right from wrong—lessons Brett continues to value and hopes to one day pass on to his own child.
As we've built a life together, we've been incredibly grateful to be surrounded by families who love and support us wholeheartedly. Their examples continue to shape the home we hope to create—one filled with faith, laughter, compassion, and the reassurance that our child will always be deeply loved.
Why We Chose Adoption
When Maddie was just 19 years old, she was diagnosed with primary ovarian insufficiency. While the diagnosis brought uncertainty about the future, it also began shaping a new understanding of what it means to build a family. Around that time, she pursued IVF in the hope of preserving her fertility, but the treatment was unsuccessful. Even through that difficult season, one thing never changed—her dream of becoming a parent.
From the beginning of our relationship, we were honest with each other about our hopes for the future, including the possibility that adoption could one day be part of our story. As our relationship grew, so did our excitement about becoming parents. Over time, adoption became more than a possibility—it became a path we embraced with hope, gratitude, and genuine excitement for the family we dream of building together.
We understand that considering adoption can involve incredibly difficult and deeply personal decisions. While we can't fully understand the weight of what you are navigating, we deeply respect the care you are taking in considering what is best for your child. We will never take the trust you place in us for granted. If you choose us, we promise to provide a home filled with unconditional love, laughter, encouragement, and opportunity. We will always honor your child's adoption story and make sure they grow up knowing how deeply they have been loved from the very beginning.

Our Extended Families

Family is at the center of our lives, and we feel incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by loving, supportive relatives with whom we share so much of our everyday lives. We both come from close-knit families who enjoy spending time together, whether it's gathering for birthdays, holidays, weekend dinners, or cheering on our favorite teams. Summer often means trips to the ranch or catching a Rangers baseball game together, while Christmas is filled with meaningful traditions like Christmas Eve church, special family meals, and making memories with the people we love most.

Maddie's parents live just 10 minutes away, so we get to see them often for dinners, celebrations, and everyday moments. Brett's family lives a few hours away, and we enjoy making the trip to spend holidays, weekends, and vacations together. Even with the distance, we stay very close and look forward to every opportunity to be together.
Our 2-year-old nephew has already brought so much joy to our lives, and we love spending time playing with him, reading books, and watching his personality grow. Our families have been incredibly supportive throughout our adoption journey. They have celebrated every milestone with us, prayed for us, and are eagerly looking forward to welcoming a child with open arms. We know this child will grow up surrounded by grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and lifelong family friends who will encourage them, celebrate them, and love them unconditionally.
Our House and Neighborhood

We live in Texas in a warm, family-friendly neighborhood that truly feels like home. One of the things we love most is how active and welcoming our community is. It's common to see families out for evening walks, children riding bikes, neighbors gathering outside, and dogs playing at the nearby dog park with their owners. Just down the road is a church with a preschool and daycare that regularly hosts family picnics and community events, creating a wonderful place for families to connect. Every Fourth of July, our neighborhood comes together for a festive parade that has quickly become one of our favorite traditions. We're also just minutes from great restaurants, coffee shops, and local stores, making it easy to enjoy family outings close to home.
Our home has three bedrooms and has become a place where family and friends naturally gather. We love cooking together, hosting dinners, decorating for the holidays, and creating a welcoming space filled with warmth and laughter. One room that is especially meaningful to us is the nursery, which we've thoughtfully designed with a colorful woodland mural and cozy touches in anticipation of welcoming a child. We can already picture reading bedtime stories, building blanket forts, and celebrating birthdays there for years to come.
We feel incredibly grateful to be surrounded by a supportive community and a home where a child can grow, explore, build lifelong friendships, and always feel safe, loved, and encouraged.
From Us to You

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about us. We can only imagine all that has brought you to this moment, and we are grateful that you would consider allowing us to be a small part of your journey. We hope that as you look through these pages, you get a genuine sense of who we are, the life we have built together, and the kind of family we hope to become.
We are Maddie and Brett, and we have been together for more than six years and married since September 2025. From our very first date at a hockey game, our relationship has been built on friendship, laughter, trust, and showing up for one another. We truly love doing life together. We can be just as happy spending a quiet evening at home with our dog and cats as we are traveling somewhere new, playing tennis, watching college football, dancing at a wedding, or spending a weekend with family at the ranch. Most importantly, we approach life as a team, and becoming parents is a dream we have shared for many years.
Our Christian faith is at the heart of our marriage and the home we hope to create. We are members of the Methodist church where Maddie grew up and was baptized, and where we later stood in that very same place to be married. We hope to raise a child surrounded by that same foundation of faith, along with grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who are already incredibly excited to welcome another little person to love.
As parents, we hope to provide far more than a safe and stable home. We want to give your child the freedom and encouragement to discover exactly who they are. We can't wait to learn what makes them laugh, what subjects fascinate them, what activities they love, and what dreams they develop along the way. We will be there for bedtime stories and scraped knees, school projects and family vacations, celebrations and disappointments, and all of the ordinary days in between. Above all, we hope to raise a child who knows without question that they are loved, supported, and encouraged to become exactly who they are meant to be.
If you choose us, we want you to know that your place in your child's life and story will always be honored. Adoption will never be something we hide or shy away from discussing. We will speak about you with love and respect and make sure your child grows up knowing where they came from and understanding that their story includes all of the people who have loved them along the way.
We promise to send pictures and letters throughout your child's life so you can continue to watch them grow and share in milestones along the way. We are also open to staying connected through phone calls and emails, as well as visits throughout the years. We hope to build a relationship together that feels comfortable and meaningful, always guided by what is best for your child. We understand that relationships can grow and evolve over time, and we hope ours can be rooted in honesty, respect, and a shared love for your child.
We know there is no collection of words or photographs that can fully communicate who we are or what it would mean to us to be chosen to parent your child. What we can promise is that we will never take that responsibility, or the trust placed in us, for granted. Your child will be surrounded by faith, family, laughter, opportunity, and unconditional love. We will celebrate who they are, encourage their dreams, stand beside them through every season of life, and consider it the greatest privilege to be their parents.
Thank you for taking the time to consider our family and for allowing us to share our hearts with you.
With love and gratitude,
Brett & Maddie
