Our Child

Happy Mother's Day!

We do have one five-year-old son named Charlie. He is the light of our lives. He is familiar with our adoption plans and is very excited at the chance to be a big brother.

Charlie loves the outdoors, just like Isaac. he loves to ride bikes, ride his scooter, go on scavenger hunts or just walk around and get fresh air.

Similarly to Jessy, Charlie loves to sing and dance. He also enjoys coloring and doing crafts. For activities outside of the home, we have always found it important to have Charlie involved in the community. When he was an infant, he did baby music classes, which was a lot of fun. When he outgrew that, we tried more active things. he has tried soccer, gymnastics, swimming, and tennis. Right now, he is sticking with tennis as he enjoys it more than the other things.

Charlie’s personality is calm and sweet. He doesn’t get too worked up about much. When big things are happening around him, he can be kind of reserved and is an observer. He loves playing with friends and traveling to see cool new things.

Our Favorite Vacation Spot

At the Beach

Our ideal vacation spot is anywhere warm, sunny and close to a body of water.

We love traveling whether it be domestically or internationally to a beach area. Getting up early and walking along the beach or having a sunset walk along the beach is perfect. We love being able to just relax and not having an agenda. Having a bag full of snacks to sit by the ocean and relax is ideal.

Some other fun things to do while we are at a sunny getaway is rent bicycles and go for a cruise, get ice cream, or check out local wildlife. Isaac may find a national park nearby or a state park and check out the hiking trails nearby!

We do have family that live in South Florida. We end up down there pretty frequently not just because of family obligations but for the hot sun and beaches! So it’s a double whammy.

Our Leisure Time

Before Church

In Jessy’s free time, she enjoys volunteering at church. She is apart of the music ministry. Outside of singing, she is the birthday coordinator. This means she remembers everyone’s birthday and makes sure that the special birthday person always have a card signed by everyone else. She also volunteers with the funeral ministry, which means that if someone at church has a loved one who passes away, she helps coordinate meals for that family. She is also a leader of a children’s party group. She hosts holiday parties several times a year for children age 0 to 8. It’s a great opportunity for moms with little ones to get together in a safe place to make memories.

In Isaacs free time, he enjoys being outdoors. He loves trail running, skiing, camping and hiking. He values health and wellness. He tries to go the gym several times a week. The gym has childcare so it’s great to take our son. Together as a couple, we love to travel. Having a list and dreaming about places to check out next is always fun. We also love playing video games with Charlie. Being outside or traveling is great but chilling out at home and having balance is always needed too!

Our Extended Families

With Isaac's Family

We spent a lot of time together as an immediate family and also with our extended family. Isaac has an aunt, uncle and cousin nearby and we often get together to have Indian takeout food and play board games! We also love to do karaoke.

Jessy's Mother and Brother

Jessy has her mom and grandfather nearby and we enjoy being with them to have picnics. The rest of our extended family live out of town, but we do travel often to visit with them or they travel to spend time with us. The family is spread apart all across the US so there are lots of cool opportunities to visit unique things depending on where that relative is. It may be the mountains, the beach or somewhere in a busy bustling city.

In terms of traditions, we celebrate all regular American holidays. We have a large meal and family time on Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. Isaac is Filipino so we honor that by having unique dishes throughout the year. What makes our family unique is our compassion and love for everyone we meet. We have quite a large group of friends and they are all very different. An eclectic mix, you might say. So, it is a testament to how we live our lives and how welcoming we are and how we want our circle to be big.

Our family and friends are excited for our adoption plans and eager for what to come!

Our House and Neighborhood

Home Sweet Home

We live in a beautiful neighborhood in West Virginia. West Virginia is great in our opinion because it gets all four seasons. We have lived in our home for over five years now and have always felt safe.

Our neighborhood is a mix of senior citizens and new families. If it’s sunny outside, you will always see children running around and playing in the street. Something special about our neighborhood that I enjoy is during Halloween, it is filled with people trick-or-treating. Even people who are not living in the neighborhood come to our area because it’s such a safe place and nice to walk around.

There are not any parks or playgrounds within walking distance, but we live very close to a state forest that has playgrounds and walking trails. If you don’t want to go to the forest, there are plenty of community playgrounds that we enjoy going to.

There are several pools nearby as well. One of them is a wave pool, which is extra special to go to and a change of pace from a regular swimming pool.

Our home is down a sloped, private driveway. We live in a four bedroom, four bathroom home. We have plenty of grass and trees in the front yard and backyard. Jessy enjoys gardening and planting flowers. Isaac enjoys landscaping and mowing, keeping the yard looking great!

From Us to You

First, we just want to say thank you. We can only imagine how much strength and love it takes to even consider adoption. Before anything else, we want you to know that we see you, and we respect you deeply.

We have been building a life centered around love, faith, family, and creating meaningful memories together. We have been married for almost 6 years now with a near 5 year old. Our home is filled with laughter, support, and a strong sense of togetherness. We have a little boy named Charlie, who is full of joy and kindness, and we’ve always dreamed of growing our family.

Choosing adoption has come from a place of love and intention. We don’t see this as “adding a child,” but as welcoming a life that we will cherish, protect, and guide every single day. Your child would be raised in a home where they are celebrated for exactly who they are… encouraged, supported, and deeply loved.

We love creating a home filled with meaningful moments… whether that’s cooking meals together, hosting gatherings with friends and family, or simply enjoying a quiet evening with laughter and conversation. We value traditions, but we also love creating new ones…holiday mornings, family trips, and simple routines that become lasting memories.

In our home, we value kindness, respect, and faith. We believe in showing up for each other?"whether that’s through everyday moments like family dinners and bedtime stories, or big moments like cheering at school events and celebrating milestones. Your child would grow up knowing they are safe, wanted, and surrounded by people who truly care.

Your child would grow up in a home where they are encouraged to dream big, to be kind, and to know their worth. We will be there for the scraped knees, the first steps, the school days, and every moment in between?"cheering them on, guiding them, and loving them through it all.

We also want you to know that your story matters to us. If you choose us, we would always speak of you with love and respect. Your child will know how deeply they were loved from the very beginning and that your decision came from strength, not absence.

That being said, we would absolutely send letters and photos to you of the child’s progress. We understand your role through all this and don’t take it lightly. Being the birth parents are a respected position in our minds and we intend to honor you unless extreme unforeseen circumstances occur.

As the child grows, we are potentially open to more contact whether that be phone calls or future visits. Some of that is dependent upon all of our comfort levels. But we want you to know that we don’t intend on shutting you out already.

We don’t take this opportunity lightly. If you choose us, we promise to love your child unconditionally, to guide them with patience, and to give them a life full of joy, stability, and opportunity.
