How We Met

Fun Weekend Getaway

Our story began with a simple connection that quickly grew into a deep partnership. From our very first dates, we realized how much we shared a love for laughter, family, and a similar outlook on life. We spent our early days getting to know each other through shared activities and discovering that our personalities balance each other perfectly. In our relationship, one of us provides a steady, driven focus while the other brings a laid-back and calming energy.

Over the years, we have built a foundation of trust and friendship that has only grown stronger. We have supported each other through all of life’s chapters, always coming back to the genuine joy we find in each other’s company. Whether we are tackling a new project at home, exploring the outdoors, or simply enjoying a quiet evening together, we are truly each other’s best friends. This journey together has prepared us for the greatest adventure of all, which is becoming parents. We are so grateful for the life we have built and cannot wait to welcome a child into the love and stability we share.

Leisure Time

Found a Nature Preserve in Florida on Vacation

In our free time, we focus on connection and the simple joys of life. On the weekends, you can often find us at a local park or exploring nearby nature trails. We love being active and are always looking for something new to discover, whether it is a hidden path we have not walked yet or a local community event we have never attended. We believe life is an adventure, and we truly enjoy the process of exploring our surroundings together.

Barbecuing It Up On The Weekend

We also cherish our time at home, where we are big fans of board games and friendly competition. We often host family and friends for a night of cards or strategy games, and those evenings are always filled with laughter. Cooking is another big part of our life; we love trying out new recipes together and preparing meals for the people we love.

We look forward to sharing this spirit of discovery with a child. We cannot wait to teach them how to cook and bake, cheer them on at their first activities, or head out on a Saturday morning to explore somewhere new as a family.

Our Extended Families

Craig, His Brothers, and Close Friends

Family is the heartbeat of our home. We are incredibly fortunate to have parents, siblings, and nieces who are not just relatives, but our closest friends. Whether we are hosting a summer BBQ or gathering for a noisy holiday, our home is always filled with the people we love most. Because most of our family lives just a short drive away, we enjoy frequent visits and a deep sense of constant support.

Our Annual Turkey Trot With Katrina's Family

We love getting together with Katrina’s dad and stepmom for quality time and family games. We also prioritize staying connected with Craig’s dad and his two brothers. We often spend our weekends hanging out at his brothers’ houses or exploring local parks together. Craig is particularly close with his brothers and loves being an active uncle to his two young nieces. Katrina is known as the "fun aunt" who is always ready to jump into a game of tag or start a creative craft project.

We especially look forward to seeing Katrina’s extended family during the holidays. We always have a blast cooking together, playing games, and catching up with our siblings, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Our family and friends are our biggest cheerleaders and are beyond excited to welcome a child into the fold. They are ready to provide an extra layer of love. We can’t wait to see our child surrounded by this amazing group, growing up with cousins who will become their first best friends.

Our House and Neighborhood

Our Front Yard

We live in a wonderful, family-oriented community that feels like the perfect place to raise a child. Our neighborhood is quiet, safe, and filled with young families. One of our favorite parts about where we live is having an elementary school and a beautiful park just a short walk from our front door. We often see neighbors out for evening strolls or kids playing together in their front yards, and we can’t wait for a child to join in on those sunny afternoon adventures.

Local Beach

Our home is our sanctuary, filled with warmth and plenty of space to grow. We have three bedrooms and a large, open layout that we love. Our favorite spots are the kitchen and living room. They are the heart of our home where we spend our time cooking, relaxing, and sharing stories from our day. We also have a spacious, fenced-in backyard that we have already imagined filling with a swing set and plenty of space to run and play.

Beyond our street, our wider community is incredibly supportive of families. We enjoy attending year-round events like Harvest Fest, Music in the Historic District, and White Linen Night, where we get to appreciate the work of many local artists. We also look forward to Holiday in the Park and Citizen’s Appreciation Day. On the weekends, we love visiting local car shows, vendor fairs and farmers markets. With nearby splash pads and nature trails perfect for outings, we feel lucky to be in such a vibrant environment.

From Us to You

Thank you for taking the time to learn about our lives. We can only imagine the weight of the decision you are making, and we want you to know that we already hold you in the highest respect. We are so grateful that you are considering us as you search for the best path forward for your child.

We want to start by sharing a bit about who we are as a couple. We have been happily married for seven years and have been together for eight. Our relationship is built on a foundation of deep friendship, laughter, and a shared vision for the future. We truly complement each other: Craig brings a steady, calm presence and a great sense of humor, while Katrina brings warmth, creativity, and a heart for others. Together, we are a team that tackles life’s challenges with patience and its joys with gratitude. Our home is a place of stability, where we prioritize kindness and support for one another every day. Over the last eight years, we have built a life we love, and we are so ready to share it with a child.

Building a family has always been our greatest dream. While our path included the challenges of infertility, it also led us back to a journey that feels incredibly natural to us: adoption. Adoption is not just a concept in our home; it is a cherished part of our family history. Katrina and her siblings were all adopted, and growing up in that environment gave her a firsthand understanding of the beautiful, lifelong bond it creates. We believe that family is defined by the love we choose and the commitments we keep. We have so much love ready to be poured into a child, and we have spent years preparing our hearts and our home for this moment.

In our home, the child will grow up surrounded by a village of people who cannot wait to meet them. They will have grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins who live just a short drive away and are ready to offer an extra layer of love. They will grow up with the fun of family game nights, the smell of home-cooked meals, and the excitement of exploring local parks and trails on Saturday mornings. We promise to provide a life full of discovery and encouragement. Whether the child is a quiet dreamer, an active adventurer, or a creative soul, we will be there to nurture their unique interests and cheer them on every step of the way. We want them to grow up feeling safe, seen, and unconditionally celebrated.

We also want to make a promise to you. We believe that honesty and openness are vital, and we will speak of you with honor and gratitude from the very beginning. Your child will always know the brave and selfless story of how they came into our lives. We are fully committed to sending you regular letters and pictures so that you can see your child grow, thrive, and reach all their milestones. Beyond that, we are open to further connection, such as emails, phone calls, or an open adoption with future visits, depending on what feels most comfortable and healthy for everyone. We want you to feel secure in the knowledge that your child is being raised in a home where you are respected and where their heritage is celebrated.

Thank you again for considering us. We do not know what you are feeling in this moment, but we hope you feel peace. No matter what you choose, we wish you strength and clarity. If you decide that we are the right family for your child, please know that they will be loved beyond measure, every single day, for the rest of their lives.

With love and respect,

Craig & Katrina
