Long Wait Adoption Stories

Here at American Adoptions, the majority of our adoptive families receive an opportunity within 1 to 24 months of their activation. However, just as there are those who receive an opportunity earlier than that, there are also families who wait longer for their successful adoption opportunity.

It can be discouraging to be in this situation, but know that you are not alone. Here, some of our adoptive families have graciously shared their stories of long waits to their perfect adoption opportunity. In the end, they wouldn’t change a thing — but they offer some good advice for others in this situation.
